Studio is upstairs, just press the button and they buzz you in. VIP style! When I walked in the barre studio I got that warm fuzzy feeling inside. It was soooo clean and welcoming! They have grey plush carpet on the floors that just make me want to lay on it. They have all the equipment needed for the workout. All you need to do is grab a couple weights at the beginning of class and they handle the rest. You really do feel catered to at The Bar Method. There's a couple of windows in the studio bringing in light and a small view of Sunset place. No showers from what I could see but they do have two bathrooms and lockers with locks for your convenience. Bathrooms have most toiletries Incase you forget something. Love working out here!! Only Con: street parking...Cost is minimal but sometimes a little tedious to find. Instructors, staff and clientele are all great! Price for membership is fair for the area and type of workout.

These classes will certainly do this.

Want to supplement your cardio or strength training workouts? Want to increase your flexibility? Want to increase your muscle definition? If you answered "Yes" to all these, then you may want to check-out The Bar Method. The isometric exercises are designed to strengthen your muscles and increase your flexibility using your own body weight and a ballet bar. Movements are repetitous and the transitions between positions are fast. The only rest you can expect to have is when you are in stretch positions, which may help elongate muscles and prevent lactic build-up. The studio itself and the workout rooms are modern, sleek and immaculate. The instructors are great. I've taken classes with almost all the instructors and all are great, providing individualized correction and encouragement. (Five stars especially to Susan Lee who is super encouraging and warm.) There are two rooms for students and class sizes are capped so that instructors can help you with proper form. As with most anything else, you get out of it what you put into it. To see results it's suggested you go to 3-5 times a week. This will be somewhat challenging if you don't live near South Miami. The studio offers some free classes on Wednesdays and Saturdays that you may want to take to see what classee are like. They offer various trial and membership packages so ask about these if you decide to go. Finally, always check first with your doctor before starting a new exercise program.

    Very clean!!

The studio staff was very welcoming and professional. I recommend coming to her classes! She was full of energy and motivates each individual during her workouts! The class duration was 50 minutes. Can't wait to come back for another class! (: The class was challenging and requires full use of body to workout that utilizes small isometric movements for strengthening. Pure Barre is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking. I've heard that Pilates makes you gain more strength and build muscle which should help my overall shoulder discomfort and it was surprising how this specific class did that as soon as I started the training. The studio is tucked in the base floor of a nice retail building right in the heart of Sunset Place. At first glance, it shines with neatness and coziness as the warm host who registers the checks in greets you as if she were your friend for a lifetime and that positive attitude is what you need when trying to unplug from daily work stress. I was introduced immediately to our instructor, Sabrina Segura, whose charisma was evident since she greeted me and the rest of the participants. I signed up for the 50-minute All-Level Pilates, and glad that I did because it refreshed me on all the basic and not-so-basic movements by covering a complete workout. Also by adding more springs, the tightness made me push for more effort while doing the exercises. Sabrina was so professional from the start, explaining very detail each exercise without losing sight of all of our postures, and at the same time keeping an upbeat pace throughout the complete journey. The complete session felt like therapy, for the first time I didn't think of anything else than trying to make my postures better and align with the instructions. Actually, by the end, I was even encouraged to do more of it. I could have easily lasted around one more hour. Sabrina made it feel so easy and effortless, but at the same time, the after-effect of the exercise felt as if I had lifted weights during an earlier slot. When you experience the dedication of Sabrina to each of her students you will notice how passionate she is about her Pilates practices. The ambiance of the studio is very friendly, and it seems like everyone knows each other, which transmits a family-style environment, which resonates with the overall concept of Pilates in the Grove. The bathroom is available for all students and they have a mini fridge with plenty of water to refresh. Looking forward to trying them again and hopefully under a wonderful instructor like Sabrina.

I'll admit, the lack of mirrors threw me off at first. I'm so used to watching my form that I wasn't sure how I'd manage. Turns out, it didn't matter one bit. If anything, it pushed me to tune inward rather than rely on my reflection. Instructor Sabrina is the real standout. She guided us through variations that looked deceptively simple and left us genuinely sweating by the end. Challenging in the best way. Will absolutely be back.

I arrived about five minutes late to class and realized there was an issue with my ClassPass booking. I completely understood the situation and even offered to pay on the spot or after class since there was still space available. What was unacceptable was how it was handled. I was asked to leave in a very dismissive and public way, with the instructor opening the door and signaling for me to get out in front of the entire class. It felt degrading and completely unnecessary. This wasn't about policy-I respect policies. It was about the way a paying, returning client was treated. I also followed up via email and never received a response, which only adds to the disappointment. There is a way to enforce rules while still treating people with respect. Unfortunately, that was not the case here.
