But table seating was available. After taking a couple minutes to decide. I chose the shrimp poboy. It was delivered at 12:05, with the tails on. Before I could eat, I had to pull them off. It was fantastic. So I guess I'll be okay. By 12:20 I was cashing out lunch for one $20. They issued a 20% discount for my military id.

When in Shreveport on a Monday, your dining options are...limited (unless you fancy a casino…read moredinner, which we did not). So, we ended up here--the only place open that wasn't serving up blackjack with a side of fries. First up: water. Now, if you've never had Louisiana tap water, let me tell you--it tastes like someone steeped a bag of potting soil in it for 12 hours. I was about to blame this restaurant until a little Google dive informed me that most of Louisiana water just tastes like this due to geosmin and MIB (algae bloom byproducts, apparently). Fun fact that nobody asked for, but here we are. Anyway, we pivoted HARD to cocktails. I ordered a Belvedere martini, which was well-made by Dustin but oddly expensive considering this wasn't exactly a swanky downtown hotspot. For dinner: Hubbs went for shrimp fettuccine, and while it was fine, it didn't exactly make us want to write home about it. I, on the other hand, ordered Natchitoches meat pies, thinking they'd be the real deal imported from the famous place there. Oh, how naive I was. Instead, they were sad little impostors, baked instead of fried, and just...meh. Final bill: almost $100 for four drinks and two average entrées. If we're dropping that kinda cash, I'd prefer a meal that didn't require an emergency cocktail switch just to recover from the water.

They have a kitchen but I've never eaten here but the word is the food is good...They used to throw a Steak Night special on Thursdays but I'm not sure if they still do that or not and in season they boil up soem crawfish and people have told me they do it right... The owner, Dee, is one cool cat...I enjoy smoking a cigar with him when I drop in...last time in I think I was the one doing the owing so I stepped back out to my truck grabbed a coupla stogies and we fired them up and enjoyed... They have quite a few TVs and I know it's called a Sports Bar but I think it's more akin to a lively dive with TVs...Not sure on Thursdays but I know on Friday and Saturday nights they typically have a DJ or some live music act playing...pretty sure they do karaoke just not sure when... It's a local's kinda bar cause let's face it...if your in Shreveport/Bossier you're most likely gonna be spending your time downtown or at the Casinos instead of driving out to the thickets of Benton, LA for your drinking and musical pleasure BUT if you do decide to venture out I think you'll be made to feel welcome and you'll probably have a better time than you imagined...I always have!!!

Turns out the bartender was in the weeds and instead of being upfront with us she simply quit talking to us. Which is awkward at a bar that size. Why would we assume she was in the weeds if she was propped up gossiping when we got there? I would have been happy to wait to order if she had just said something. Instead- Fries are only good if they get cooked in the first place. If I wanted a kid to ignore me I would have become a teacher. And why pay money for a meal that isn't what you wanted in the first place!?! We ordered buffalo and atomic wings, only got buffalo; she forgot to put our order in...or just didn't do it. It took us 2 hours to get out of there and this horrible woman never spoke a syllable to us after taking our order. We had to ask the hostess for stuff, and she kept apologizing for the bartender...who was gossiping with friends. I'm sure I'll try fumbles again, but it will be awhile, after I have time to forget this crap experience. i recommend walking back out if the shortish female bartender with long blonde hair is working. She is the worst! She wasted our time, our good mood and our food.

A legitimate, yet intimate, small-to-medium sized live music and event venue such as this gorgeously renovated old tire garage which just had its formal opening for Music Prize Live on June 20th, 2019! I myself, was just back from the beautiful beaches of Alabama, sunburned, slightly tired, and I still had an absolute hoot in this here place. My friends and I jammed to visiting Nashville bands, Airpark, and *repeat repeat. It was an enjoyable time to be certain. I am looking very much forward to the future events, and the endless possibilities of this place in the near and far future. I am especially looking forward to the 2019 Louisiana Prize (Film, Food, and of course Music!!) Fest this Fall, which will undoubtedly use this space well, in addition to other locations. Shreveport is growing again, culturally, and very much so in the right direction. This garage shows this growth. And on some nights soon, you'll be able to hear that growth as well!!
