Was passin thru to visit a friend and tried the garlic parm chicken tenders OMG wish yall were in NC

We came in the evening of February 7, after 6pm. There were a few people there, but it wasn't full and a bartender with long blonde hair and a brunette hostess/waitress were leaned on the bar talking to people so it looked like everybody was chill. Turns out the bartender was in the weeds and instead of being upfront with us she simply quit talking to us. Which is awkward at a bar that size. Why would we assume she was in the weeds if she was propped up gossiping when we got there? I would have been happy to wait to order if she had just said something. Instead- Fries are only good if they get cooked in the first place. If I wanted a kid to ignore me I would have become a teacher. And why pay money for a meal that isn't what you wanted in the first place!?! We ordered buffalo and atomic wings, only got buffalo; she forgot to put our order in...or just didn't do it. It took us 2 hours to get out of there and this horrible woman never spoke a syllable to us after taking our order. We had to ask the hostess for stuff, and she kept apologizing for the bartender...who was gossiping with friends. I'm sure I'll try fumbles again, but it will be awhile, after I have time to forget this crap experience. i recommend walking back out if the shortish female bartender with long blonde hair is working. She is the worst! She wasted our time, our good mood and our food. read more

For me personally, the overall experience was just ok. Nothing too special here. We got cheesesticks for an appetizer, they were just basic bland breaded cheese with ice cold marinara and ranch. My husband got a burger which he really enjoyed, granted it's hard to mess up a burger. The fries were the same as something you could cook at home in your own oven from the freezer section. The onion rings dripped with grease after biting into them. There was zero seasoning, just grease. I got the wings and they were ok. I actually like the flats better than the drums and unfortunately there was only one of them. They were kind of soggy and I prefer my fried wings crispy. Overall the food was decent, but by no means a place where we are eager to get back to. read more

Found a true hidden gem. I've lived here for years and just out about this place. Fumbles has good food and friendly staff. The only negative is that I didn't get the choice of how I wanted my burger cooked. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxed bar and grill with good food. read more

No flavor, a greasy mess. Cashier told me it was sauce, this is definitely grease. The taste wasn't even Buffalo it was grease, then I have old gator tots and fry bits that obviously been sitting in the bottom of the grease dumped into my plate. Apparently the name has changed. It was Fumblebrewskies and now its Fumbles. I am reposting my review for what I thought was Fumblebrewskies here. Fumble-oh-my-god-what happened-brewskis. That's what they should rename it. Looks like either the chef died or ownership has changed. Menu has been reduced to basic bar comfort food. The menu is probably 1/3 the size of its former self. Your shoes stick to the floor as soon as you walk in the door. The hamburgers were over cooked. Onion rings had enough grease to lube your car. With change of ownership it started out fresh & good, esp when owner is in house. Confused on wing sauces e.g server said that mild and medium are the same... Also that grilled wings are just cut up breasts? I think she was confused about the boneless wings. Anyway... still good, though super battered and fried. I worry however when owner isn't there that the bartenders don't chat it up a bit too much with patrons at the bar... I'm picky about burgers and the ones at Fumbles are some of my favorites. The mushroom and swiss is the one I like best, along with the sweet potato waffle fries. I've never had anything I didn't like, including the catfish and fried mushrooms. Once or twice a month I bring burger home for supper and the family always looks forward to it. read more

I was super excited to try out Fumbles especially since they had BOGO burgers. I love burgers and I try to try one every chance I can get it. I got the Super Model which was described as "May be too hot for you." It was supposed to have Ghost Pepper jack cheese, mango habanero sauce and fresh jalapenos. I asked for the jalapenos and sauce on the side. I am expecting this burger to make my nose run when I take a bite but there was nothing. I look closer at the cheese and it looks like shredded Colby jack cheese melted on there. There was absolutely no "kick" to the burger at all. The burger itself was nothing to brag about either. I could name 5-10 other places that have way better burgers. They need to hire more staff as well. There was only 1 waitress that I could tell and the place was packed. When she took our order the couple we were with ordered 2 appetizers and my husband and I saw her write them down. We waited and waited and they never came. Here comes the main food! We mentioned the appetizers and the waitress stated she never heard anyone say they wanted them. We saw her write them down and that is the first thing they said when she took their order. Had lunch with wife, she had fumble-burger and I had chicken finger basket. Hamburger was fair and chicken tenders were fair, they looked more like catfish. French fries with both meals were good. Food gets 3 stars and two beers get 5 stars. Beer was very cold draft in frozen mug 12oz. Happy hour draft was $4.00. Meal and beer came to $25.06. Too much for fair food Waitress was very nice. I'll start by saying I've never left a review on anything ever before, that being said I created an entire account on here just to do so for this business. Back when it was fumblebrewski's we had great food there, apparently something has changed between now and then because we had a horrible experience this go around. First we walk in and sit at the bar and are treated noticeably different because I guess we weren't "regulars". She orders a appetizer sampler which is pretty good and I try to order their "our way" wings and cannot because they are sold out due to super bowl the day prior, no biggie I'll take 12 wings half spicy bbq half hot garlic. They come out in a orderly manner, have great size and flavor but upon biting into both flavored wings I notice they are underdone and the meat next to the bone is pink and the bone is not even close to white. Me being the person I am debate on returning them because I NEVER do that. Finally I decide that if I'm paying $15 for 12 wings I'm going to eat them how I want them so I calmly tell the not so enthusiastic waitress/bartender that they are underdone and I'd please like to have them cooked a little longer also showing her the underdone wing I tried to eat. Her response "well they cook them the same way everytime but fine I'll take them back there." Statement ticked me off but breathe ok whatever I'll get them back and eat. Wings take much longer than even the first cook, red flag.........so they come out and are charred and burnt to a crisp with even a noticeable burnt smell added some more sauce to it and a belligerent amount of red pepper on the spicy bbq that wasn't even there in the first place. Clearly the kitchen tried to prove some sort of point that "if you want done, we'll give you done." They were disgustingly burnt tasting and the overwhelming half commercial bottle of red pepper seeds was enough for me to grab the check with my wife in agreement. The waitress noticing my disgust and not asking for a to go box asks was there something wrong and I tell her the deal to which she looks at the wings and you can clearly see she also notices that the wings look gross, offers to take them off I say it's up to you I dont care either way as I wont be back. read more

The Philly Cheese was vile. It was burned, but the cheese didn't melt. Go figure!!! The waitress explained that the very little meat on it was crunchy and dark due to it was being cooked with soy sauce. ???? What Tha Whoa? Who does that and where? To make matters worse, she became vicious because I said I didn't want it. I asked her to taste it. She didn't like that idea at all. I've never receive a Philly or service that horrific before.
