There should be an option for no stars. First, the service was slow and servers were rude. 15 minutes before closing, which our group of at least 15 did not know they were closing because it was never announced, we were served drinks, yelled at by the servers "to get the F*#% out". You can not have drinks on the street in St. Augustine so basically it was down the drink or throw it way. We have NEVER been so rudely treated and will not go back. I completely understand why this bar has no name. It would be an embarrassment to the owners to give it one. read more

It was a rainy Friday night in the great old town of St. Augustine. The Bar With No Name was on my list of places to visit. Due to other reviews I knew it was across from the fort because it is not marked well from the street. There is a sign for a Liquor Store... I am so glad that I found this bar. The bartenders were great. They were fast and the drink special prices were great. A Modelo was 2.75...not bad. As others have said, ask first for prices on drinks other than specials. Sam was playing guitar and singing original tunes that reminded me of a cross between Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews and John Mayer. Excellent! The live music was from 5pm until 9pm. So make this an early stop on the bar crawl. After that it was mostly loud hip hop...It was all good. The crowd was lively and friendly. No bottled water at this bar, so ice water had to suffice. It is a dive bar but a great one and I will be back! read more

Went there for couple of beers and a burger, asked for bacon and cheese, only got cheese, no fries, threw the basket of food at me, asked for money as soon as food was thrown, gave two bucks on a nine dollar bill and heard a comment from superman that" this must be for you" given the terrible service two bucks doesn't seem like a bad tip on a nine dollar bill..... It's too bad, I've been there before and have gone back even after they've tried to run my card twice, prompting my bank to call me and ask about charges....gonna miss the ring game.... We liked this place...Walked up to some great live music outside (Blink 182/Sublime sound). Its open-air with fans, faces the fort, so makes for cool pics. Late 20s/early 30s crowd. Everybody was friendly. read more

Just left the bar. Awesome place. Fun. Saturday they have a singer and guitar for entertainment. $9 for a pitcher of bud light draft.. I think it could be maybe like a $1 or $2 cheaper. But fun entertainment with a nice staff. Food is mediocre bar food. But it isn't crap. That is always a plus. Great for a nice view, and even good for kids that can sit still and are well behaved. I took my little 2 year old brother here and he clapped and had fun in his carriage listening to music. He had some limes' because he loves the tangy taste' lol. I came in last week and again last night. Last week there was a sign on the womens bathroom stating that the door doesn't close/lock properly and the sign was still there last night making women uncomfortable to use it as someone can just walk in. Last week a girl, very drunk, went into the mens and ended up locking herself in. Someone grabbed the bar manager (I believe), he's somewhat thin, blonde with a bunch of tattoos. He immediately came over and started banging on the door yelling at her to slide the lock over calling her "dumb dumb, stupid b****" and other down right rude things. She finally was able to unlock the door, he walked her to the steps, let her go and she fell half way down the steps and he called her stupid again. Later in the night he then yelled to the bar patrons that were lingering to pay their tabs that it doesn't matter what you have between your legs, that theres two genders and that everyone that thinks otherwise is very ignorant and stupid and that if you have an issue with the womens door to go in with a friend so they can hold the door. A new doorknob with a twist lock at home depot costs less then $15. I love the bartenders and the atmosphere, but because of the way the bar manager showed his ass time and time again, I will not be coming back. read more

Probably the worst service I've had on my otherwise wonderful vacation. Waited at a table for 8 minutes then went up to the bar to ask if we needed to order there. The guy behind the bar laughed and said yes, followed by "I don't work here". We three, along with three others strangers from another table, left. Cheap drinks, nice staff, terrific location, BUT if you're like me and you live paycheck to paycheck...pay them in CASH. If you use a card, they'll automatically approve you for double and you won't get it back into your account for about a week. Still, nice place. read more

My wife and I spent our one year anniversary here w/o the kids. We sat outside on the covered patio overlooking the fort and the Mantanzas River. A great place to sit,have some beers and watch the traffic. From what I understand, it is one of the cheaper places to get a beer @ $2.50. read more

Highly do NOT recommend supporting this business, especially if from out of state. I am 23 years old and this bar denied me access due to a "fake ID". The bouncers are uneducated on out-of-state ID's and flat out rude. After politely presenting 2 additional forms of identification the bouncer retorted "it's cold tonight, I'm not dealing with this" and denied me access to join my large PAYING group of friends. Then, I phoned the police and had the St. Augustine police confirm I was of age; however, the bouncer still denied me access to join my party. The police explained to me, The Bar with No Name is a privately owned business; therefore, they have a right to deny anyone access to their business for no reason at all. The owner of this business allows their uneducated and sexist bouncers to decide who is allowed in their bar. The egotistical bouncer I encountered was Duke. If you are a tourist, female, graduate student, or anyone under the age of 30 you are not welcome here and you will most likely be publicly humiliated if not a Florida resident. When asking the police what else I could possibly do they asked me, "why would you even want to support a business that would treat their customers like this?" I believe this speaks volumes on this business and the business owner. read more

Light and fun atmosphere with live music and a great view. Not a great draught beer selection, would have liked some more craft beers and IPAs. Although the street was busy and the bar too, it has a "dive" feel to it, like dirty tables and kind of shabby. Great specials on beer. Got a rolling rock for $2. However the bill comes out to 14.75. Meaning the rum runner i purchased was $12. For a place advertising so many great specials that is a ridiculous price for one drink. Decent atmosphere (most of the people here are wasted by 6 pm and dancing everywhere) nice breeze off the fort, however; I recommend only ordering drinks after asking for the price.
