We have lived 1 mile from here for 10 years. We like beer and burgers too. We have been here less than 10 times. Tough parking at times. Ambiance is typical NFL "Irish Pub" sports bar (Circa 1970-2020). Lots of long-time locals. From Prosecutors and Cops to suburbanites, but no one young. Decent burger. We come maybe once a year. Not the best place, but a good place to get cheap bar food and cheap drinks. My husband got a black and bleu burger with the expectation that there would be bleu cheese crumbles. Instead he got a big glob of bleu cheese dressing. There was a lot of flavor to the burger, but extremely salty. I got the Dublin Club. I was pleasantly surprised there was thick pieces of ham and turkey on it. The onion rings were crispy and tasted good. We also got the French onion soup that tasted good as well. Sh... Waitress made so many mistakes and did not put an effort to write down. Very nervous, seems like it was her first time serving deaf people. We did not complain. We reminded her again. Two of us told her to relax it's ok. Foods were not the best. We did not complain. Then the owner started screaming at us deaf people. Screaming does not make us understand, we are Deaf. We even gave the waitress good tip, over 25% and one gave her $15 tip for $14 dinner. When it was calm, I wrote down explaining that the waitress made many mistakes and yet we gave great tips. What was your beef? The owner refused to read and started yelling at us then kicked us all out saying we aren't welcome anymore and never come back. He screamed at me. I said we are Deaf and screaming doesn't help. He threatened us (verbally as if we understand him, not) and screaming and gesturing us to get out while we were already on our way out. The owner also refused to read and write. Refused to put on captions on tv. We never complained and mind our business. We definitely felt humiliated, threatened and discriminated. We were polite and kind. What should we do and let the owner hurt belittle or maybe mock us Deaf people? Would it be wrong if I ask you all not to go to this restaurant? We came in here while we waited for our check in time at our hotel on our stay in Saint Augustine for the nights of lights tour we had plans with some friends visiting from Orlando. Since the World Cup is going on I asked if they were playing the games on the tvs to which the manager said sure! He played both games that were being played. That was very nice of him. The beer is super cold and prices are very reasonable, my blt was very good and the bread was deliciously toasted with lots of butter. The servers are very courteous and service is very quick. The place is clean and only thing I can mention is the restroom could use a little update and repairs. read more

We just love this place. The beer is always cold and all the bartenders are very attentive and pour reasonably. (Don't you hate going to a bar and the juvenile bartender has never had a drink in their life?) The wings are really good and usually really meaty. All the food is good and the kitchen staff know what they are doing. We try to get in there at least twice a month. This is a good restaurant to get a sandwich or other bar grub. We went seeking a steak restaurant and found it closed so tried this place. Our waitress was quick, friendly and got everything right. We both had club sandwiches, mine was turkey, bacon, lettuce on rye. My husband had beef, cheese and all the works. Stopped in for lunch and see the start to NASCAR race. No trouble finding a seat and we were promptly waited on. Closest TV was quickly changed to NASCAR. Appetizer of hot pretzels delivered in a timely manner and entrees of shrimp Quesadilla and chili dog followed. Quesadilla was MUCH better than hot dog. Located in the Moultrie Square Plaza, this is a nice little nightspot. It's rare that I actually drive past here and don't see a number of people inside, this place is pretty busy most every night of the week, especially on the weekends. There's quite a number of tables inside, with a huge bar in the center of the place. There's a lot of big screen TV's hanging on the walls, all tuned to different sporting events. I didn't notice a lot of families in the place, but it wasn't too bad atmosphere wise to have kids in there. I'm not so sure you'd want to bring your kids in on an UFC fight night or big college football game, though, I'm sure there's quite a bit of adult behavior going on in there. The drink prices were pretty cheap, and they offer up a happy hour Mon-Fri 3-7pm. Their draft beer selection could've been a bit bigger, but wasn't bad, but they do have a great liquor selection. The menus looked pretty good, didn't have anything to eat, but a LOT of people around me were eating lots of stuff. Of course it's mostly bar food, so you can't expect gourmet cuisine, but the food I saw looked pretty tasty. Overall, I had a pretty good time here, I will have to stop by during a big time sporting event to really catch the full atmosphere of the place. I enjoy this sports bar and grills environment and They have great daily soups and sandwiches. It depends on which staff you get whether your drink gets slid to you sloshed all over you or not. The soup of the day may or not be available, however. I get a lot of delivery and get called back multiple times by BiteSquad that they don't have a soup of the day, so it's a gamble at this point. Today was the 4th time i had to cancel and made a new order elsewhere. It's worth noting. I don't like the soups on the regular menu. We actually had reservations at OC whites in Saint Augustine and drove two hours in from Melbourne and had relatives that came down from Georgia to visit and we're staying in Jacksonville. We had reservations in advance and the best I can say about OC whites was it was a disaster. We left after being more than an hour past our reservation time with no help from their staff other than smart ass comments. We have eaten at O'Shaughnessey's before. My daughter who lives in Saint Augustine called ahead and they said they would have a table ready and waiting for us. As soon as we arrived they had not one but two tables set up for 10 guests. We were seated immediately & served drinks while we waited for our other guests to arrive. The service was fantastic from start to finish the waitress was very attentive and the wings were great. I paid a fraction of what I would've paid for nine people at OC whites and we had a good time with no attitude.This restaurant is always warm & welcoming. Went for lunch at this local restaurant. The decor is sporty and there's lots of football memorabilia. We ordered our meals and they came quickly. Service was good and server was friendly. Now the food---- not the best but not the worst. Hubby had shrimp and grits and said it was ok. I had a simple grilled cheese and fries. Fries were awesome but if you offer a grilled cheese it should be more than one slice of cheese on bread. Two slices of cheese would make it better and to help the taste, grill with butter not oil. When I ordered I orders a Burger with Cheese and grilled onions and mushrooms off the lunch menu where everything was $6.99. Food was OK (eatable), but when I received the bill it was over $15. $2.50 for drink and $12.99 for burger. When I questioned the bartender about this she said "Well you got grilled onions and Mushrooms". So I guess when you order an extra add on to your burger it doubles the price! Wanting some good bar grub and good live local music, we headed to reliable Shaunessys Sports Bar. It was a Friday night and after we walked through the crowd of smokers to get in I remarked that it smelled worse inside! That dirty mop smell is pretty strong. We got the usual good service, great food and music (a fellow named Fond Kiser), but gotta say the salt and pepper shakers were so grimy it was scary.
