    Disgusting.

What's up with this in the women's restroom? This is NOT funny or amusing. I loved the Barber Shop, until I saw this. I love the music, the down to earth people.

The Barber Shop brewpub officially opened Saturday, but the place has actually been around since 1924. Located in Drippin's historic downtown, it was originally a gas station back in the day and then became a barber shop. It was basically abandoned for the past couple of decades, but now it's all spruced up and ready for business. There are 12 brews on tap, including local favorite Jester King's Commercial Suicide and Wytchmaker IPA. There are also offerings from Real Ale in Blanco: Fireman's 4, Full Moon and the Coffee Porter. The front features the original stone facade from the '30s and they kept the old barber shop sign. There's a front room for dart-throwing, then the back room has a cool wormwood bar that's been filled in with resin, as well as wooden tables and chairs. It's got a rustic-contemporary-antique vibe going on all at once. A cool addition to the downtown scene!

Great beer selection and very friendly people. The added bonus is that the smokers have a section for themselves outside. We meet here every month or so for good beers and a good time.

Great dive bar. Cheap drinks and there was actually an artist there painting the patrons and live blues performed by the locals!

The music and overall vibe were spot on. Not too loud, not too quiet -- just right to kick back, relax, and actually enjoy a conversation with the people you're with. That's something a lot of places miss, but they nailed it here. The atmosphere has a cool, easygoing energy that makes you want to stay awhile. It's the kind of place you can hang out, unwind, and just enjoy the moment without feeling rushed or crowded. If you ever find yourself in Dripping Springs -- or if you're local -- this is definitely a must-visit spot. I'll for sure be back next time I'm in the area. It first operated as a stagecoach outpost & blacksmith shop. And it famously built the Tavern in Comal County during prohibition. It wasn't until the 1950s that a dance hall pavilion was added to the property. And while the tavern wasn't made famous through country songs, it remained a popular watering hole for the locals. Today, the new owners have helped revitalize the dance hall and brought about a renewed appreciation for this musical outpost. Some of the greatest singer/songwriters come to play at Devil's so be sure to check out the list of upcoming shows. So put Todd Snider in your playlist, check your GPS, and take a drive out to Fischer for a cold beer and great music! On a more personal note, I would love to see more listening room / storytelling type shows and album signing opportunities where artists can take advantage of the great acoustics and intimate space. This place is different, though. They have my absolute favorite bock and my favorite hefeweizen ever! I also had a sample of their Helles, and it was just as awesome. I don't know what they're doing with their beer, but they need to keep doing it! They have plenty of outdoor space with lots of shade, a playground for the kids, and food trucks on site. There's also a small indoor area if you need some air conditioning, but it isn't very big. One warning: the beer lines can get really long on weekends.

We've visited once and are looking forward to a return visit soon. Lots of trees and outdoor seating, live music, food trucks, and a welcoming tap room. So let's talk about that tap room and the pours within it: There are 12 beers on tap (again, hence the name). We've not been through them all but the couple we've were up there with some of the best we've had in Europe. No joke. Like most breweries they have regular beers on tap as well as seasonal pours. N/A options also available. Helles on Wheels is a German lager (oh yes it is) that's light and refreshing. The Hero is also an amazing pour. I'm a huge fan of Hefeweizen and this is one of the best I've ever had. The McGregor actually really reminds me of Ireland. Like a beer you'd find in a quaint village and wish you could take it home with you. Lots of others that we need to get back and try out. Welcoming and fun place.
