Came here for a date night from Kyle. Twice I went to the bar to place an order and it felt like I was being ignored. The food was okay, queso nachos weren't great, but the burger and fries were good. I asked the servers basic questions and they didn't know the answers to them. We went to throw axes and that was fun. The system had lots of games and was easy to work. It was not in the axe throwing section so just be prepared. Not sure we'll be back! read more

Went here for a party and there is absolutely nothing that I could say to make it sound like a nice place. First off, the gnats were insane. Like absolutely everywhere you looked people were swatting them away. I'm pretty sure I inhaled at least a half dozen just from breathing in there. I ordered a mule, one of their drink specials. It was awful. I had 3 sips and couldn't drink it any more. The food was also bad. The burger was like a piece of cooked rubber. I could bend it in half and it just folded and didn't break. The fries were very hot and seasoned well so they have that going for them. When it was time to leave I saw the door handle and above and below it. It was disgusting. The dirt on the door was so bad. Between the dirty hand prints on the door, the terrible food and drinks I would recommend you go anywhere else. read more

I can't say enough positive things about Driftwood Dugout. We decided to check it out last summer since learned it was under new ownership and because of its close proximity to our house. I didn't really have any expectations when we first arrived, I was mainly curious because I heard so much buzz about it from my neighbors but from the second we walked in, we were immediately greeted by the owner, even though the place was packed. I noticed she took the time to chat with every single person. No one was a stranger and we weren't either after a few minutes. Aside from the friendly, welcoming staff, the Dugout has a full bar stocked to make everyone's favorite drinks and every game you can think of was playing on their multiple tvs. We have since made the Dugout one of our favorite local spots, where live music and dance lessons have been added to their monthly schedule. NEW MANAGEMENT: Wow is all I have to say. The new owners are absolutely the kindest and sweetest people ever. They are local to Dripping Springs and the hospitality was AMAZING . My 7 year old daughter and I came in to check out the Axe throwing. (We will be do it when she is a bit older) but great for a family with older children. They did have a cute velcro axe throwing for her which was greatly appreciated! They even had tons of picnic tables and a scooter outside. I had tacos from the food truck that were AMAZING, AUTHENTIC and quickly delivered. Great prices as well. The place was clean and open and there were different sporting games on each of the many big screens. There is a FULL bar which is great if you want to watch the game and relax. I had a tap beer that was cold and great. Clean, amazing decor and just a great place for a private event, family gathering, bachelor party or friends gathering. We will be back. I have been going to this place for several months. I enjoy the atmosphere. Very good selection of drinks. The staff is very supportive and always follows up when needed. Having the Axe house available is also convenient for entertaining large parties. They also have a good selection of sporting events displayed on their many TVs. We visited Driftwood Dugout last night and came away impressed. It literally just opened the night before and they are still adding some finishing touches but it was ready for the crowd. It's located in a business park on RM 150, with a large open space that was set up for social distancing between tables, a long bar, and a large open outside patio with barstools in back, with an icehouse type roll up door in between. There's a bandstand inside and they had a very good singer/guitar player when we visited. they plan to have music every weekend. They have the Patty Wagon food truck right off the patio and I gotta say, that guy turned out some great pub grub! We had the burgers, hot dogs, chili cheese fries, grilled cheese and house fries and everything was hot and delicious. He even makes good coffee! Big TVs on the walls will make for great sports/event watching, and more TVs will be added on the patio in the coming weeks. There is a baseball training facility off the patio, and another area that will be sodded for picnic tables off the other side, which will be nice for those weekend days you want to get outside for a beer with friends. FYI, this is a dog friendly bar. It was beer/wine when we were there, although they do have a couple large Margarita machines that will be in use shortly. About half a dozen taps with a good selection, including a Twisted X pale ale, Dos Equis, and a few others This is a great place to hang out, grab a burger, listen to music or watch a game, and something this area really needs! read more

I went to Driftwood Dugout for a much needed girls night out! The service was good and my friends and I ended up chatting with the owner Orit Mann who was very welcoming to our last minute gathering. They recently reopened under new ownership with more focus on adults than previously. The addition of the axe throwing area in the suite next door that they expanded into was a fun couples date night, and there were staff there to help teach how to throw for those who hadn't done it before. The way it's set up is there are projectors that project different axe throwing games onto the wood target which makes it more interesting. As a tip for beginners to make it more fun, you can not mark misses and just keep taking the turn until you land something. I had my hesitations about drinks and axes (hatchets), but actually doing it didn't have any concern given the safety precautions. When we went on Cinco de Mayo they had Three Brothers Food truck and the carnitas tacos were really good. I was told they are going to be doing karaoke on Thursdays but forgot when that starts up, though I think it's soon. read more
