So they have other beers (craft) as well as ciders and n/an options. I love a good cider but I also know to watch out for that ABV! I'm gonna try their ciders next time we do an overnight in Dripping Springs. Drinking cider and driving back to Austin wouldn't be the smartest thing to do. Same goes for any product containing alcohol, really. Moderation, friends. So back to the pours. When I say they're proper, I'm not exaggerating. I feel like they deserve some sort of acknowledgement from England because the beers are that good. The Whitby is an English pale ale and it goes down so smoothly. The two cask offerings are out of this world. Can't remember the names but one is a dark beer and the other a bitter. I'm here all day for them. Like all day. They also have a nitro milk stout I can't wait to get my lips on. Milk stouts (stouts in general) are another fave of mine. The brewery is welcoming and I loved the vibe from the minute we pulled up. Tap room decor is rustic. They've got a nice outdoor patio with a food truck (The White Hart-good eats). Cool patrons and staff. These guys know their stuff.

All the beers we get here are clean and good. No off flavors, etc. If you like English-style beers, come here. We would come here more often but it's a bit of a haul from north atx.

Their solution: FREE BEER ALL WEEKEND. Now, it's impossible to give anything less than 5 stars when it's free! We indulged in 4 Pints & ordered food/tipped back heavily enough to compensate for the freebies. It's simply a beautiful workaround to stay open & stay relevant- plus, staff are still getting paid. We did both the smashburger and chicken sliders - 3 of each & all different styles ($15/ set) - @ $5/ ea, that was kind of high but more variety. The single sammie is definitely a better value. They were tasty. Again, with free beer - hey, still a great deal! The grounds alone are worth the visit. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. They shared the background story for this veteran owned business & it was all just very inviting. The beers we had were all good. My favorite was the dark stout, which was a very solid stout.

We've visited once and are looking forward to a return visit soon. Lots of trees and outdoor seating, live music, food trucks, and a welcoming tap room. So let's talk about that tap room and the pours within it: There are 12 beers on tap (again, hence the name). We've not been through them all but the couple we've were up there with some of the best we've had in Europe. No joke. Like most breweries they have regular beers on tap as well as seasonal pours. N/A options also available. Helles on Wheels is a German lager (oh yes it is) that's light and refreshing. The Hero is also an amazing pour. I'm a huge fan of Hefeweizen and this is one of the best I've ever had. The McGregor actually really reminds me of Ireland. Like a beer you'd find in a quaint village and wish you could take it home with you. Lots of others that we need to get back and try out. Welcoming and fun place.

The porter was good but a bit to heavy for a summer afternoon, so I got the Scotch Ale the first round and the IPA for the second round. The Scotch Ale at 8.0abv comes in a small 10oz pour and the IPA was a full 16oz. In the past the riesling has been my fave wine wise. Both were full flavored and refreshing to drink on the patio with my dog. The service here has always been so friendly. The wine tasting are guided by pros that are well educated about wine. The same for the brewery where they'll give you free tasting cups. The outside country location is so beautiful. Like being on a ranch. Picnic tables, lawn games, and often live music (or at least good music over the speakers). Btw, as a dj myself I wonder if they'd ever like some jazzy house grooves or something on the patio on the weekend? What would that involve to do periodically on an afternoon?

We just popped in for some tastings since we were staying next door at Lucky Arrow Retreat. Everyone was nice, but we wanted to move where we were doing our tastings because the staff had to keep going behind where we were standing and we had to keep moving out of their way... but we were asked to not move because other people might want that other spot. Kind of awkward because we were there first, but we are pretty easy going so we just brushed it off (even though there was literally no one else doing a tasting at that time). I hope that they don't get so busy that they lose the customer service that we loved the first time and had us wanting to come back again. They have beautiful outdoor spaces to hangout and relax with some beer or wine.

I stopped by on a sunny afternoon and instantly loved the relaxed vibe. Picnic tables under the trees, plenty of space to spread out, and super friendly staff who are clearly proud of what they're pouring. It's a place where you can settle in and stay a while. I tried a flight and was impressed across the board--especially the IPA and their rotating small-batch brew, which had great balance and depth without being too heavy. They're clearly doing more than just cranking out the basics here; there's real thought in the brewing. The food truck on site is a big bonus. I had the pulled pork sandwich with fries--absolutely hit the spot. Great portions, flavorful, and a perfect match for a cold pint on a warm day. What really sets Bell Springs apart, though, is the atmosphere. It's family-friendly, dog-friendly, and totally unpretentious. You're as likely to see a group of locals playing cards as you are a couple sharing a bottle from the winery next door. If you're looking for a casual, beautiful spot to enjoy craft beer, good food, and good company, Bell Springs Brewing should be on your list. I'll definitely be back--and next time, I'm bringing friends.

Also ordered their cheese dog, their brisket nachos, and their pork belly and glazed rib tacos. The tacos and cheese dog were amazing. Didn't really enjoy the nachos, the cheese sauce was a bit overpowering and too thick to hold up with the chips but overall great food/drink Service 4/5: food took a long time to come out but generally good service Ambiance 4/5: very little indoor seating but we got the one table indoors that I could see. When we were poking around looking for breweries in the area on Yelp we came across The Shady Llama! This place doesn't make their own beer but they have lots of guest taps for breweries in the surrounding area. It's a good variety of beers to choose from and it looks like there is at least one food truck available sometimes in case you get hungry. The main draw for why we came here was to see the llamas and indeed we dis see some. One of them gave us some attitude and then sauntered off down a hill, taking it's less moody companion with it. They were funny and with the attitude I got and the name of the place I posted the Eminem song "My Name Is" where the lyrics "Slim Shady" get mentioned on Instagram because I thought it was all quite fitting. In addition to seeing the llamas we saw a great view of Hill Country. There was a lot of seating when we were here and could pick pretty much anywhere we wanted to sit. But I'm sure the place can get busy... the location and those llamas are reason enough. Cold beer, moody llamas and beautiful Hill Country... definitely worth the stop!
