Great haircut, excellent, friendly service and perfectly located right in downtown Blaine. Highly…read morerecommend !

Howdy folks. How's everyone on Planet Yelp doing? Now how exactly do I start off this review? I…read moredon't think that I've ever asked myself that question, let alone anyone else, while writing one of these reviews. But I will come right out and say that I love The Hair Shop. I think ya all probably have an idea of where this review is headed. Ok let's get right into it. I first discovered The Hair Shop after arriving in Blaine after a long journey that begun the day before in Santa Maria, California. I had made my way up to this small seaside city because I was going to be sneaking into Canada. But before jumping the border, I wanted to get my hair cut. I mean if your going to sneak across an international border, than you might as well look good. The problem was I was having a difficult time trying to find a place that would cut my hair. Another shop had turned me away saying that I needed to make an appointment, even though the place was dead as a door-nail. But then after walking around the downtown area I stumbled upon a little black building sitting all alone. I knew it was a barber shop because of the barber's pole that could be seen by the entrance. But as I approached I noticed a hand written note on the side of the building with a phone number for anyone to message if they wanted a haircut. Well, I needed a haircut. Right away I received a response and within' a very short time, a nice young woman named Jackie arrived to give me a haircut. One of the first things I noticed when I walked inside, besides the friendly guard dog, was the collection of hats that lined the wall. I dig stuff like this. To me stuff like this gives the business more personality. Of course if this was my business there would most surely be a collection of KISS memorabilia decorating the walls. But I guess Jackie wasn't a KISS fan. Either way, I really digged the feel of the place right off the bat. So I went with my usual, which is a number two. But Jackie suggested something that would turn out to be quite fabulous. She decided that it would be best if I went with what I believe is called a Number Two Fade. If Jackie is reading this review, I'm sure she'll correct me if I'm wrong. But whatever it's called, Jackie did a mighty fine job of fixing up my hair so as to make me look mighty fine for all those handsome Canadian men. Yeah right. But Jackie did an amazing job on my hair and from this moment on, Jackie would become my official barber. At least when I find myself in Blaine. In addition to being an amazing barber, Jackie also has a fabulous personality. She really does. We had some really groovy conversation during the time that it took for her to cut my hair. Of course this included her warning me against sneaking across the border. But I didn't take her advice on that. But I did leave feeling very satisfied now that I had a fresh new cut. And the best part is my haircut didn't cost an arm and a leg. I even tried tipping her and she wouldn't take it. Jackie is a really classy gal. So I'm gonna go ahead and wrap this review up saying that if you want a fabulous haircut in a groovy atmosphere that won't break the bank, I suggest that you head on over to The Hair Shop in Blaine. You won't be disappointed. If you are, there's always Supercuts. Until next time, may the fabulous haircuts be with you, and may Canada accept me. Happy trails. NASTY NATHANIAL
