The younger man, like his particular clientele, has no class, manners, or business acumen. He cuts hair while talking on his cell phone, arrives late at the barber shop while his clients wait, and leave them in tr chair to chat with his friends who stop by. He relies on electric clippers to do a job that was once done by skill and with a steady hand. Perhaps the children lining up for their weekly haircuts don't mind the customer service, but the strong base does. A barber shop is a traditionally sacred place, a place of respect where there is a code of conduct and trust that should not be violated. This barber shop is slowly becoming more like the world at-large, and that is bad news for those of us over the age of 25. Go before noon and it's great. After noon and be prepared to deal with bro's and assholes getting their tri-weekly "haircut."
