It took me a long time to find a true barber in the area. Love this place. Great owner who does a fantastic job every time I go ( every 2 weeks). He also does a very good job on the beard, which is very hard to find. The barber shop has the classic real barber shop look. Fact of the matter is this is the place to go if you're a man and don't wish to be surrounded by estrogen-fueled soap operas. All the old men gather here and talk sports, politics and other news. If the Man Show had ever done a segment on a real man's barber shop, this would probably be the winning entry. This is not to say that women are not welcome, they most certainly are, but many of us grew up going to the barber, while the salon was for our mothers and sisters. The staff are all graduates of barber college, although at least one of them is double-certified in hairdressing as well, and yes, there is a difference. Its an authentic barber shop with great banter and fresh, straight razor line ups!! Cody is the man. Ask for him its well worth the wait. This place its awesome I will be back. I was looking for a barbershop to get a medium fade. The reviews of this shop were impressive so I gave it a shot. I am a barber at west Hartford professional that gets some what of a modern style haircut. I got Juan at the end. His station was cluttered with a pile of dirty tools and other people's hair. He was a really nice guy though and we had a great conversation. Unfortunately the haircut was not great at all and when he dusted my face at the end some other dudes white hair was coming off of the brush and was all over my face.Even though he told me he's been cutting for decades and is the owner of the shop the haircut was something I could have gotten at a barber school. 16 dollars wasn't bad I usually pay 25. The feel and environment was great. It felt like a barbershop but as soon as You walk out the door you have to go to work with what you got. Great guy with a great personality but because of his nasty station and poor haircut I will not be returning. read more
