Large hot Dente (Orange, Chocolate & Cinnamon)
    Bennett P.

It's been 6 months since my previous visit!! I noticed they had a line out the door Saturday morning. I received an email for $2 off and it was about to expire. I got one of my favorite latte's, the Dente. It's made with orange, chocolate and cinnamon. A rich coffee drink. I added their house-made bacon breakfast burrito. It was well loaded with bacon, egg and potatoes. They provided a red salsa. The dining room was clean with soft music being played. I noticed all of the hot drinks increased by $ 0.20 (3% increase) since my last photo of Nov 2025.

This location of Bardo's is repurposed house and little on the darker/older/funky side. Plenty of seating inside and out, lots of drink choices, a good place to meet friends or bring your laptop and work. Street parking only and on busy Broadway so you might have to get creative. Coffee is from Kaladi Coffee Roasters and it is goooood.

I love Bardo! I've been here a couple times to get some studying and work done, and so fa I've had a nice time each time. It's always packed in the front room so if you like working while other people are also working, it's perfect for that. But because of this, it ma be hard to get a table at times. It can be a little difficult to move around sometimes. Their bagels are pretty good. I always get the Chai and it's just fine. Overall, a nice cafe with free wifi! Parking is street parking as this is on South Broadway.

I utilized this business eons ago. Why didn't I come back to it for such a long time is a question I had asked myself. While this Mile High City was busy growing, I kind of lost in time looking the other way. But when I finally came back here, I realized that Bardo hasn't changed a bit: it still was the Bardo I used to know. In a way, I'm glad. The background music (soft jazz) was so soothing to my (and others') soul (souls.) It certainly created the kind of ambience that many prefer in a good coffee shop. My drink, Viennese (breve with whip and nutmeg) was made iced upon request. Unless you ask for modifications it's unsweetened. I liked it as is. The lady who took my order and the guy who handed me my drink were both kind and courteous. This must be part of what they may be proud of; no wonder many have left great reviews. It was a nice occasion to pay tribute to this almost forgotten legend in Denver. As there are other more modern-themed places continuing to emerge in this city, I shall not forget to appreciate a business like Bardo. Thanks for being around for us.

    The grinch and bardo (20oz)
    Jenny L.

The grinch had pistachio matcha flavor but I did not taste any matcha at all. It only tasted like pistachio and oat milk. The bardo (dark chocolate vanilla) tasted yummy however the latte art could have been better. Wifi is a 2 hour limit and you must have a purchase in order to get the WiFi paper password from the front. After your 2 hr limit is complete, you'll need to do another purchase to get another WiFi code from the front counter which I thought was kind of lame. Lots of seating indoors and plugs for your electronics. Very dark and moody vibe. Parking is street parking only as well so good luck on a busy day. Personally, with street parking, limited WiFi, okay drinks, and dim setting, I give this place a 3.

Friendly local quiet peaceful coffee shop! Right off of the two way bike lanes on Broadway. We drove our bikes here. It's a great place to chill while out biking. A unique vibe!

Chai was delicious!! Perfect in spice

This is a great place for snack type food or cold sandwichs. What stands out here is, SERVICE!!! Prompt, efficent and most of all VERY PLEASANT!! WiFi is allocated in 2 hours, not sure if they allocate more, I'm an author, not enough time, BUT, My Aspen and I had the most DELICIOUS Lemon Poppy Seed Scone. Light in texture and perfect amount of Lemon and sweet not overly done. Very nice. MY LOVE was the CHAI!! Perfectly seasoned and not too sweet! WONDERFUL Location is great for Wheat Ridge and plenty of parking front and back. The eager HELLO as I walked in and inquired some questions became a perfect repartee! Plenty of customers working diligently on their computers, table and chairs or counters, with retro couches and tables. Great choices. Obviously my delightful Service dog enjoy the Lemon Poppy seed scone as well, we share most everything!!

Quick, efficient and damn good coffee. Had to kill some time and this was a great find. I ordered a large hazelnut oat milk latte and a banana bread and it hit the spot

The Back of the same card.

A longtime customer disappointed by lack of transparency. I've been a loyal customer of Bardo Coffee House for years and have always enjoyed the environment. But during my most recent visit, I learned something surprising: you must purchase a drink in order to receive a Wi-Fi code -- a policy that is not posted anywhere in the shop or clearly mentioned on their punch cards. In fact, the cards read "FREE WIFI" prominently, and the only fine print mentions how to earn punches for drinks, with no mention that a purchase is required for internet access. When I calmly brought this up to the manager -- without anger or attitude -- her demeanor changed immediately. She became noticeably defensive, which strongly suggested to me that this isn't the first time this concern has been raised, and she knows the signage (or lack thereof) is misleading. That kind of response from management says a lot. It's not the Wi-Fi policy itself that's the issue -- it's the lack of transparency and the unwillingness to own or correct it when politely addressed. If you're going to require a purchase for Wi-Fi, that's fine -- just say so clearly on your materials or in the shop. Customers deserve that honesty and clarity. I hope Bardo will choose to address this in a straightforward way, because until then, it comes across as false advertising -- and that erodes trust.

    Matcha Latte - so good!
    Hannah S.

What does it offer? - a kind bearded barista who makes a mean matcha latte! - a no frills coffee shop vibe with tables and chairs that have had many years of hearing professional & personal conversations. It's perfect for a WFH day or a comforting caffeine pick me up!

Is this a Dog friendly business?

They have a small sidewalk space with 2 tables outside the front door.

As someone who doesn't have a laptop with a ton of battery life, is it easy to score a spot with an outlet?

I've consistently found it to be *very* easy to secure an outlet.

S'mores Pop-Tart: My husband got this toasted treat with a marshmallow topping, and it was incredible. It's like a high-end version of a childhood classic. Atmosphere: We sat on the patio since it was a beautiful day. It's a great spot to catch up and take your time, but bring sunglasses! It gets very bright out there. Price: We spent around $25-$30 for two drinks and two snacks. For the quality of the craft coffee and the unique house-made pastries, it's definitely worth it. Overall Experience: I highly recommend coming here if you're visiting Colorado or if you live here. It's a top-tier coffee spot with a few locations in Denver and I always recommend trying their coffee flights. I also got the Fox and Raven mocha, because I usually only get mochas and there was just one on the menu, and I t was smooth, chocolatey. Corvus is definitely on the pricier side, but the quality of both the food and drinks makes it worth it. The space itself is large, airy, and comfortable, with plenty of seating. Even on a sunday morning, service was fast and it didn't feel crowded. Parking was easy, which is a plus. I liked that the atmosphere struck a good balance between not being too quiet so it feels weird to talk and not being too loud where I'm feel like I'm yelling to my friend and can't hear her. It feels like a great place to work or study. The baristas were extremely friendly, and I was impressed by the variety of baked goods available. I do wish there were a few more coffee drink options overall, but since they do mochas well, I would definitely come back.

Honestly it was just okay for us. I'd say it's worth it if you're a complete beginner at pizza making, but here's the catch: in the class they use the mini Gozney ovens, and we have the full-size Gozney Dome. Practicing on a different oven than the one we'd actually be using at home was a bit off-putting, since so much of pizza making is dialing in your specific setup. That said, I still learned plenty that carried over! It's a 4-hour hands-on class, and you get to mix the dough, practice stretching, and launch your own pizza. The instructor, Gage, really knows his stuff and he was great at explaining the why behind each step, not just the how. I walked away with genuinely useful skills like freezing the dough and shaping technique. It's about $148 a person. The nice touches help. You get a pastry before and a cookie at lunch, plus a detailed recipe packet (dough variations, freezing, mixer methods, the works). And Rebel Bread is a working bakery, so it's a fun space to be in. My other note: the class runs long, and I wish it had been a bit shorter and tighter. For someone who's never made pizza before, I think it'd be worth it. For us, already set up with our own oven, it was a nice experience but not essential.

The inside is what you look for in an upscale coffee shop, clean, great lines, artwork, and quality coffee. I always order the nitro cold brew here and it never disappoints. It will definitely charge me up for the day or evening. Their cold brews are crafted using Kaladi Full City coffee and it has a bolder, yet similar smoothness to say a Starbucks Cold Brew. They also have a wide variety of kombuchas on tap as well! I've heard some good things about their Venetian Crème Cold Brew if you like a sweet flavor with your charge. The interior includes high ceilings and garage doors that open to allow for a breezy experience when the weather is right. The music is usually good and is constantly changing, which leads me to believe that the baristas may play their own mix sometimes. I almost exclusively drink cold brew but I have had their coffee too and it is awesome. I also order their almond poppyseed bread (APB) quite often; however, today they were out so I tried the pumpkin spice bread instead. It was good but not mind blowing like the aforementioned APB! I'm the only one that calls it that so don't try to order the APB! :D Feel free to spread the word via an APB though. :) With so many options in my neighborhood that are within walking distance I choose Nixon's quite often and enjoy supporting this quality independent shop.
