I've been coming to the Bark Club for almost a year now, and I'm so happy I found them for my mini golden doodle's regular grooming appointments! My pup can be a bit anxious, and when we moved to the area from Boston, I was nervous about leaving her groomer behind and finding someone new. Luckily we discovered the Bark Club shortly after moving in and haven't looked back since! The store itself is really cute, they have an awesome selection of toys, treats, and other supplies, and always have the best seasonal items. They offer a full slate of grooming services, and some self-serve options that I haven't tried just yet. They even have a bunch of customizations like doggie facials, paw treatments, seasonal shampoo scents, etc. (Honestly never felt like spending the money on that stuff, but if that's your thing, you do you.) My absolute favorite part about this place is that it's cage-free. So instead of having one groomer working on multiple dogs at once and putting them in crates for various portions of the appointment, your groomer is only focused on your pup from start to finish. My Maisie is in and out in half the time, for only slightly more $$, than we were paying in the city. IMO, it's well worth it for my anxious girl. Didn't respond to a text message they sent during a family emergency and they gave my appointment away and charged me $25. I never changed appointments, was late or ever canceled appointments. A couple of the groomers are good, but you can find good ones all over. Do not recommend The Bark Club. read more

The Bark Club is fantastic! I have a reactive dog who has difficulty around other dogs and the staff there are so welcoming and accommodating. My pup is also one to destroy a toy the minute it hits her mouth. The bark club has a selection of durable toys that after literal months my girl is still chewing through. The last two times I went here, the self-wash tub I was using didn't have any hot water, so I had to relocate myself and my dog to another tub which was incredibly inconvenient and frustrating as my dog was already nervous, and this made it worse. Now, I did not expect this to happen two appointments in a row, well over a month apart, as you would think they'd have fixed the problem but they did not. I would understand more if this was a rare occurrence, but it doesn't appear to be. Furthermore, at the same time of this second stressful appointment, I had booked my dog for a nail trim as well that day and yet when I arrived, I was simply told there was no one there at the time who could trim his nails. This was of course after they confirmed my appointment and everything. I was never told in advance and only given a slight discount for the rest of the booking. Regarding the water issue, as someone who is a former dog groomer at Petco and happens to have years of experience and knowledge working with canines, I can confirm that it is standard procedure to have regulations set for nearly everything in a grooming salon. This especially includes a strict policy regarding water temperature and if it rises or drops to a certain degree, the whole salon has to be temporarily closed and all the dogs have to be sent home (this happened at lease twice while I worked there). This is because, using common sense, knowingly violating a safety regulation and washing a dog in extreme temperatures (especially for the entire duration of a bath) not only increases the risk of injury, but in the case of a business, LIABILITY. It should genuinely be a cause for concern for anyone who books their dog for a bath here, because unless you're doing it yourself, you have no way of knowing what temperature the employees will bathe your dog in. I suspect had I not been the one washing my dog, the groomer would probably not have been willing to try and rectify the problem as I did and move to a different tub. I certainly wouldn't recommend this place anymore after this experience as well as the unprofessionalism of the owner in how they handled this entire situation (check Google reviews). Everything in the shop itself is way overpriced too. You're much better off using the services offered at places like Unleashed by Petco, Petsmart, Pleasant Paws, The Lucky Dog, Soapy Dog, etc. read more

Took my dog here this morning to get groomed and he hasn't been groomed by anyone but me for the past 2 years! I was nervous for him because he was so nervous, but Lindsay was incredible with him! I absolutely loved the picture updates of him while he was in their care! When I picked him up he seemed very happy and comfortable! The staff was also very friendly and great with Kane! Disappointed My wife and I have been getting our dog groomed at The Bark Club for about a year. We've been nothing but pleased and have recommended The Bark Club to numerous friends. It's a little pricey but we liked supporting a local business instead of Petco or Chewy, so we've also made a point to buy our dog supplies here, at the end of each grooming session. I'm not saying this because I feel that being a long standing customer somehow entitles us to anything, I'm only including the background in this review to show that we genuinely liked The Bark Club and have been customers for a substantial length of time. In that time, we've also been pleased with the quality of The Bark Club's groomers, aside from one haircut that I think was probably our nervous dog's fault. The groomers generally give you a little summary after they finish. Occasionally, they've told us that our dog has knots in his fur and have given us tips on how to remedy the issue. Since getting those tips, we purchased a steel comb and have tried our best to brush him out, but we're far from perfect. We have a small dog and getting him groomed is $80 (prior to June it was $70). At no point did anyone ever mention that it may cost more to groom him if he has knots or matted hair. After his most recent grooming session, I got a message that he was ready, that he had matted hair, and that it would be $90. When I picked him up I asked why the price increased and they told me that it was an extra $10-$30 if your dog's hair was matted and that since I hadn't objected to the message, that was that. I told them that I really didn't appreciate the surprise increase. Then I bought some extra items, paid for the groom (and extra fee), tipped the groomer, and left (mildly annoyed at the somewhat flippant response I got). No yelling, screaming, or name calling. No appeals for justice, or demands to speak to the manager. No whining about a discount, or long winded monologues about how I'm a valuable customer and I'm always right. Then I moved with my day. After all, it was only 10 dollars and we liked this place. Also, I don't have an issue with them charging for the extra time if a dog is actually matted/knotted (this was the least matted our dog has ever been, but that really isn't the point). I just didn't appreciate the surprise element of it. Tell me that he's too matted when I bring him in, or tell me at the end of a session that if he's this matted next time, you'll have to charge us more. Problem solved. About three hours later I saw that I had a text message from the owner (The Bark Club communicates about pick up times via text, I do not have the owner's phone number). Prior to reading the actual message, my only thought was, "oh, that's nice of them to reach out about the miscommunication. I'm glad we use a local place run by a nice person." LOL, I was DEAD WRONG. It was a text message from the owner of The Bark Club explaining the $10 fee and then saying, "We do not allow or tolerate rude and disrespectful behavior towards any employee, groomers or receptionists. At this time we will not be bringing your dog back and suggest you hunt around for another shop that can better fit your budget and schedule." They kicked us out because I wasn't thrilled about paying a surprise $10 fee, which I paid. Not to mention they effectively accused me of berating the receptionist, which isn't even remotely true. It's just an oddly hurtful parting shot. The whole thing felt like such an insane overreaction that I wrote this review. I'm posting this on Yelp and Google reviews in the hope that The Bark Club can explain what happened. After all that, I'd still be willing to bring my dog there, I really liked the groomers. I'm just very confused about the whole thing. read more

Beautiful place, well lit & cheery at all times - with an awesome selection of treats, toys, collars, leashes, supplements, shampoos/conditioners, and lots more for your canine & feline friends (as well as a great selection of products for the dog or cat parent). I have not a bad thing to say about The Bark Club, because it is top notch. Highly recommend their self serve doggy wash and grooming services as well! Started going to the Bark Club to give my dog tub in the self wash area. It has been such a great experience and i love the tubs and dryer areas. Super accommodating to small dogs to be higher for the owner to not have to bend over and hurt their backs trying to dry their dog. I have recomended this groomer and boutique before but am again so beyond happy and satisfied! The boutique is always set up and has relevant themes, today we were so happy to see all the spooky toys(big Halloween fans over here ) Bailey got the coolest witch toy which is designed for tough chewers and is actually three toys in one! the self wash is set up perfectly and everything is easy access and clearly labeled. When we went up to pay Bailey was given a free squirrel shaped PB cookie, as an apology for their event today having to be rescheduled due to rain( how incredibly sweet, professional, and just amazing is that!)the people were so nice and personable, they even remembered my guys name and greeted him right when he got in. That made me so happy and welcomed. The Bark Club is the best in business and I think everyone should go there!
