This is a very cute quaint shop in downtown Big Bear right in the main strip of The Village Shops. It's very well stocked with lotions, balms, scents, candles, and soaps. I tend to be sensitive to artificial scents, so I was a little hesitant at first, but despite the strong smells in the shop, I didn't get a headache. Most of the fragrances seemed to be from essential oils or other natural sources, which I really appreciated. Because of how cold and dry it is in Big Bear, I wanted to snag a lotion if they had one that I wouldn't react to. They have different bases and different options to add in a color or scent to the base. The options for scents are almost overwhelming! I purchased the Calendula & Comfrey lotion, and I just went with the original color and unscented, and I love it! It feels very nourishing on my skin without being greasy. I did like the little glass bottles with herbs like lavender or rosemary, as well as the organic arrowroot dry shampoo powder - if I come back soon (and I remember) I'll definitely grab some next time. I've never been to the physical store, but my friend Charlie introduced me to this brand, and I'm so glad he did! I ordered their products online and absolutely loved them. The face cream and eye cream are magical--my skin truly loves them. I've seen and felt such a difference, and I would highly recommend these products to all my friends. On my second order, there were a shipping hiccups--partly my fault because I shop a little too much and didn't check my order carefully until about two months later. Even so, the owner personally took care of the situation, which really meant a lot to me. That level of customer service made me an even bigger fan. When I first walked in, I was overwhelmed by a cornucopia of lovely, scented gels and soaps and perfumes and cologne, you name it! There's a little section where you can choose which scents you'd like to mix together to create your own. I didn't have the time to indulge in the experience, but I will come back when I do. We stopped here on our last day in town for NYE. I was kind of in a hurry, but managed to do a custom body oil and get some goat milk soap. I totally love both! The soap is hydrating and the oil scent lasts a long time! The customer service was friendly and helpful. read more

Adorable and fun experience! So many different products to choose from, and creating your own scent is such a fun experience! So many different oil scents to choose from, and I found the price to be nice for the product you are receiving. I've purchased two custom 4oz hydrating body mists now. Only thing to note is I believe the hydrating mist base has a bit of a fresh powder smell, so take that into consideration when creating your scent if you get the hydrating body mist. 1st time we went last year, I would give her a 5 for her great customer service. We made body scrubs, mist, car diffusers and even got stuff made for our puppies. My girls wanted to do candle making and they weren't open so this was a great alternative and they had fun in the village. Came back again this year and girls wanted to make more scrubs and lotions, but the experience this time was the complete opposite. Owner was not friendly, uninviting and even though we said we came last year and I said girls wanted to come back to make more, they were trying to smell the scents. It was getting late so I said we we would come back in the morning to do it, but after I felt like her service was a little stand-offish I told them let's leave and we won't come back to support. We stumbled across this shop for my best friend's bachelorette party, and I'm so glad we did! Dawn was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the products in the store. She gave us a demo of their signature salt scrub, and told us how their product is made with superior ingredients that won't leave your skin feeling greasy like so many other salt scrubs. Visiting for a family vacation. Stumbled upon this shop and purchased a bubble bath. The lady made a concoction with essential oils for our bubble bath that included lavender. It was simply divine. We chose an orange color. We got the smallest size which was $8.99 and half the bottle was enough for a large size bath. It didn't really make it orange. When you check in you get a free lip balm so be sure to check in! The lip balm was a green tea mix and it was heavenly. This is a cute small business to stop in and check out! read more

My wife and I initially came here to see if they sell smudge sage. We needed some to burn off bad energy left by our previous tenants at our rental property. They did not stock them, but the lady working here gave us several store suggestions in the area that might carry it. She was so friendly and helpful, I decided to buy something even though I really didn't need anything. Since this place has a pretty large selection of scents that you can mix and match to your preference, I decided to experiment with couple of different oils to use as an air freshener in our bathroom. My creation was a combination of pineapple scent and cucumber melon, which smelled sweet and refreshing. I also got a small glass bottle for the oil and oil diffuser sticks. Price wasn't too bad at about $15 for everything. I'm not really into these kinds of shops but I would return if I need a refill or want a new scent. read more

This shop is heaven. They have so many different essential oils it's almost overwhelming. I went in with my sister and we spent about an hour making a custom scent. Then, the very patient woman at the counter mixed it into a bath scrub and lotion combination. I used it in my bath last night and my skin has never felt more soft-moisturized and smelled so good. I stopped in while on holiday, as I always love these kinds of soap, beauty and self-care shops. The owner was very helpful and helped suggest an essential oil I should try for my stress/PMS. She made it up especially for me! I also got a couple of aromatherapy pouches, one for stress and one for my sinuses. Everything in there is pretty much homemade and the shop has a really cute, quirky vibe. I am fully vaxxed and forgot my mask at the hotel and the owner was wearing a mask and following the protocols. Anyway, when I got back I tried the essential oil and and I am much more relaxed in a physical, emotional and spiritual way. I went to big bear for my friends bday weekend and spotted this shop while doing a scavenger hunt from an escape room. Obviously later that day we had to go back, and omg this place was super fun, and also very clean. Me and my friends had so much fun choosing our scents and let me say I am in love with mine I even had to go back online and buy their Shea butter lotion with the same scent I chose, cause yes they have an online shop! I love Liquid Sunshine which smells just like it says...bright, cheerful and happy! The Headache Helper Bomb is also delightful. Stopped by to get some products for our vacation trip - Our 1st visit to the store. Awesome store and so much fun. The guy (sorry did not get his name) was so helpful. Our son (12) had a blast mixing his own scents for some lotion. We tried and bought the scrub. It's fantastic. try it. At first I didn't want to but jumped right in. We bought some air freshener also with a beautiful scent mixed by our host, and body oil and shave lotion. You pick your own scents and color, if you wish. They also have suggested mixes for people like me who do not have the talent to put things together. We will definitely return. read more

I love love love this place! I make sure I have my cabin stocked up with her potty spray, oil defuser and room deodorizer. You pick the product and then she mixes the fragrance that you choose from her vast choices of oils. I have also personally used the deodorant, body scrubs, and baby shampoos for my little girl. Pretty much obsessed with this place. Every single trip to Big Bear, I stop here and get something new (or refill one of my favorites). Love the body scrub, lip exfoliator, smelly jelly, lotions, and especially the hydrating mist. The fragrance on the hydrating mist lasts longer than any of my expensive perfumes. There are so many different products to personalize that I'm always adding something new to my collection. And it's so much fun to make your own scent. I feel about aromas the same way a foodie feels about food. I usually avoid them since I know they are trouble for my wallet but how could I resist when we found out they were dog friendly! We had to go! And omg the salt scrub is TO DIE FOR. The perfect mix of moisturizing and exfoliating! The salt grain was perfect not so small it feels like nothing not too big so that it's ripping your skin off. And the essential oils oh my goodness they smell amazing. We got dog shampoo and mixed our own scent and it was the best shampoo ever! It smells amazing and it's a perfect consistency for bathing them. I had to try it out that same day!!! I wanted the whole store and the staff is über nice and patient. I was too overwhelmed to remember her name sorry! But I'm in trouble. I can't wait to go back!! Also, I get really bad hives on my face and their Blemish Balm nearly zapped them all in one application! Did I mention that unlike the organic puppy shampoo I usually use(the scent quickly dissipates), the custom made scent is amazingly rich, long lasting and just heavenly?! My house smells like a spa! This review is all over the place! But you should have seen me bouncing around in this nirvana of scent-ly delights. It might seem pricey but once you read the ingredients and compare those to bath and body works for example you realize you are actually getting more product and less filler. read more

My family and I had the BEST time making some custom candles in this shop. I've got three little kids (twin 5 year olds and a 3 year old) and the owner Paul helped them pick out their candle design, scent and walked them through every step of the candle-making process. Every trip to The Bath Workshop is a joy. We got some product samples in a gift basket a year ago, and we had to go in to try them out. Dawn was very friendly, very helpful, and most of all, PATIENT with my then- eight year-old. I think we took three trips into The Bath Workshop last year before we moved away. We came back to visit last week, and even after not seeing us for a year, Dawn remembered us, and remembered what we bought last year! She's fantastic! I love everything I've tried there.
