I love this cute bakery! They have a lot of great options that can satisfy any craving you may have. I've gotten a few cakes from here before (all were delicious), but sometimes I'll stop by to get some treats. UPDATE; I'm not sure what happened once they moved to the new location but I went a couple of weeks after the move and the cupcakes were disgusting. The buttercream tasted like straight lard. I private messaged the owner to nicely let her know in case she could fix the issue. She thanked me, but didn't state if the recipe had charged or what may have happened so maybe I just got an off batch. Just this week I saw them post gingerbread men on their Facebook page. I'm a sucker for them so gave the shop another shot. ROCK HARD gingerbread man for $4.50 and I bought TWO! Tried another cupcake too and same issue, gross lard buttercream (and I know good buttercream)! They won't get my money again, that's for sure!! I ordered a 10" cake for my sons theater banquet and it turned out amazing!!! I literally sent some picture ideas and they ran with it. Everyone LOVED it! I purchased 2 cakes and spent over $700 dollars. One of the cakes was for my husband's birthday and was supposed to be a replica of his yellow drop top convertible. Soo ... Friday morning coffee girls had to go next door to check out the new bakery. They had French macaroons, eclairs, Cyrene brûlée, tiny cheesecakes and even savory cheese pots. Loving it. They have free coffee and samples of the savory choices too. The pastry chef and the owner were there and they made time to walk us through all their choices and let us know that they could do special order muffins or cupcakes also. Cakes are amazing with comparable prices to other locations nearby. Only complaint is the times listed on yelp and google maps. Both state that their closing time is 9 PM but the place actually closes at 7 PM. We planned to come here after some shopping at the mall and were in no rush because of the online stated times. When the bakery that made my wedding cake was booked, I had to search elsewhere for someone to make a cake for my gender reveal. I read the reviews of BUB and looked through their beautiful image gallery and decided to give them a shot. I sent images of some inspiration and they got back to me quickly with some recommendations. I went into the bakery to try some of the flavors before committing, and they were very helpful with flavor choices and the design layout. I was a little bummed I had to pay $9 for two pieces of cake to try out the flavors, but I was only getting a cake for 10 people, so I understand they can't do free samples for a small cake. Anyways- the cakes were delicious and it definitely helped me narrow down my choices. I wanted the cake to be blue and pink with silver accents. I also wanted fake and real flowers. They had me drop them off the day before I was to pick up the cake. When I showed up, the cake wasn't ready yet, but I didn't have to wait long. They put the flowers on fresh right then and there. The cake was absolutely stunning and my entire family was impressed. I'm talking a real centerpiece!! It was so delicious I kept the majority of the leftovers for me and my pregnant self. We were greeted by an older gentlemen that is probably the owner and he was very helpful in All our questions regarding the pastries he had. He had some free samples of a few items he had for us to try and the minute my wife heard lemon bar. She knew she had to try it. And she said "it was to die for". So naturally we had to get one. This was a really friendly locally owned bakery shop and the price was no where near what it would of cost you at a bigger establishment. This time not so much, they raised the price to double saying it's now a special order cake, so it was $95 instead of $48. The icing was also different, they used butter cream and didn't taste like cream cheese frosting at all. The cake presentation was nice, but the cake taste awful especially because of the icing. No one wants to eat a chunk of thick icing with a red velvet cake. I asked if the frosting was cream cheese when I ordered it, the person taking my order said yes. So I wasn't happy getting a cake I didn't pay for. It totally ruined my $95 red velvet cake. Next time I'll stick to Nothing Bundt cake for a red velvet cake. The explanation for the new $95 cake was because it's not a popular cake so that's the reason for the up charge. I went here looking for the previous bakery that had been here and saw that it had closed and was replaced by Batter Up. The staff was very polite. I decided to get a few vanilla cupcakes and strawberry swirl cupcakes. On my drive home I decided to try one and was very disappointed. The cupcakes are pretty and that's it. The icing tasted like biting into a cold piece of hard butter (yes I said butter). There was no flavor at all and the texture was weird. Special year for her. And cake isn't ready. We still had to drive 2 hours to meet everyone. She was so upset. Didn't want to be late. We called a friend to pick up and bring to us. However the customer service is lacking. ordered a wedding cake months in advance, was guaranteed delivery before the actual ceremony. There was non before the ceremony, tried calling multiple times with no one bothering to answer the phone. We had to drive down to see where the cake was, only to be given attitude.
