Once I was pointed to Charles, things went incredibly smoothly from there. And I can now say I fed my baby in a waiting room while Young and the Restless was playing! Purchased a vehicle here about 3 months ago. The staff were very friendly and helpful in getting the perfect vehicle for a good price. The used vehicle had an interior panel piece that was on back order and needing to be replaced. I was told I would be called when the part came in to schedule a service appointment. I called to check in several times after never receiving notification that the part came in. Fast forward to coming in for oil change and presuming the part would have delivered. Upon arrival I was notified the part was sent back and would need to be re ordered. Wanted to give these guys five stars for the excellent purchasing process, but the problems with getting the promised service at time of purchase have been quite irritating. To add to that, when I brought the vehicle in to be serviced for a check engine light I was told there would be $125 diagnostic charge before any service would be performed. Had the scheduling person told me that on the phone I would've brought the vehicle elsewhere. Disappointed in the communications from the service center. read more

Was in for 100,000-mile service. During fluid changes more extensive repair was necessary. Phil, my customer service person was extremely helpful throughout the process. I was taken back to be shown what was found and the mechanic was friendly and patiently explained the reason why this extra service was needed. I was VERY impressed with my experience at Rydell. I initially met with Elvis when I went in to see what type of financing I was looking at, etc. When I was eventually ready to buy, I worked with Jason. (I like that they work as a team so you feel taken care of). A few weeks after buying my new vehicle, there was a mix-up with the lender. Long story short, Martin worked his butt off to make sure things worked out and in my favor. The whole team was excellent and I recommend working with them! I wouldn't go anywhere else. Before you buy from the crooks at Rydell Auto Outlet, I invite you to come test drive the beauty they suckered me into buying. I honestly want you to come drive this van. Every cold winter day I'm reminded of the mistake it was buying from Rydell. Rydell sold me a van in which ive already had to replace the engine, the transmission has some electrical short to where in cold weather it will randomly shift into 2nd gear, even when im on the freeway, which means I will likely need to replace this transmission soon if that will even fix the problem, the heater in the front died right at the beginning of winter, the driver door handle is broken, and when I took it apart to fix it we found that it had been broken and jimmy rigged before. The driver window doesn't roll down either. All for $12,000! What a steal! For them anyway. Did I mention that they lied to me when I was choosing a vehicle? The one I wanted was $8000, but they did not want to spend $800 to fix the small issues. As well as telling me the "finance company won't finance this vehicle, they have certain requirements on what the will finance." A lie when I talked to my finance company. They just wanted tio get rid of this lemon and I was the victim here. This purchase was supposed to help me rebuild my credit, and it had done everything but that. This $12k van will cost me nearly $17,000 by the time I'm done with repairs, and paying it off. Buyer beware. read more

This place must be one of those societal experiments. Every dealer in America says "We're not like the other guys!" and then a salesperson handcuffs themselves to you and then before you know it you are wondering why you bought a burnt orange Yugo. Not so here, the sales people are polite, ungodly helpful and are willing to do whatever it takes to get you what you wanted. With bad credit some places act like you are lucky they will even consider you for financing but again Rydell worked hard to find me the best terms and even called back the next day to say they found a better deal. If you are looking for a car you HAVE to at least check them out otherwise the experiment is a failure and you are stuck with that Yugo. read more

After I wrote my last review I thought my only recourse was writing to the BBB. They contacted the dealer who contacted me and the company agreed to fix the car. Since this was an "as-is" car, no warranty, I figured they would not be willing to do anything. Well, they proved me wrong. I will have my car back within a week or so and couldn't be happier. They stood behind a vehicle they didn't have to and turned me into an advocate. I would use this company again without hesitation. I had bought a vehicle from Rydell several years ago and was hoping for another good experience. I found a vehicle that was $500 under book value and was told it needed brake work. I took it to my mechanic and he said it needed major brake work, transmission work, replacing struts and shocks and some other work. All told it would have been between $4000-$5000 to make this car roadworthy. Upon returning to the dealership Elvis told me, Sometimes that what you get when you buy from the back row." This is not the dealership it used to be, and I would make sure to have any vehicle you were considering buying thoroughly checked out first. read more

I get regular oil changes at Mounds View motor company and they have always been wonderful and helpful, but what made me come here to write a review is that with the oil changes I get certain benefits and until the other day I had no idea how useful and actually beneficial they were!! I popped my tire and thought it would cost a bunch if money to get fixed, instead they told me that it was covered under my tire protection! Which I get because I get my oil changed with them! I knew I had road side assistance but that was just the nicest little surprise! This has just assured my continued loyalty! Thanks for everything! read more

My daughter needed a car and I have had great luck with Chevy Lumina's. I am two hours away so I called to make sure they still had it. The salesman was very friendly and said he did not know a lot about the car but it was there. I told him I would come on Saturday and look at it. When we got there we talked to the salesman and drove it. I immediately could tell it was hail damaged and someone had messed with the column below the steering wheel (it was not original). When I stated these things to the salesman he said "what do you expect for that price." I said if a car is hail damaged it would be a great idea to tell the customer before they drove 2 hours!!! We also looked at a Saturn which had the Check Engine light on. I asked how come the check engine light was on and he said he had no idea. Mr Obvious says that the name of your place is Rydell Auto and Garage-maybe you could run it in the garage and check it out. Seems like you have mechanics on duty??? We did buy the Lumina-super bad idea!! I have owned 4 Luminas with little or no problems several over 200,000 miles but this one in my opinion came out of a flood possibly. Within a month needed towing and brake lines gas lines etc were darn near rusted through. They drove it less than a year with 992,000 miles on it and the oil pump when out and ruined the motor. I could have put a motor in but I was worried about other issues with the car so IJunked it for $200. I would stay away from this place. Thanks read more

I'm so very disappointed in my decision to purchase a used car from this dealership. My mom convinced me to shop in since she has had good experiences here and even more unfortunately I was in desperate need for a car. I was about to leave when the salesperson told my mom about a Dodge Stratus they had on the lot. I was hesitant, especially since I'm sure two women on a used lot are easy targets, and I think the salesperson took full advantage of that. He sold us on the car saying "I would give this car to my daughter" and gave us a car history (which wasn't even a car fax, some off brand version) but like I said, I was in a pinch and by that time we wouldn't have time to go to any other dealerships that day and I couldn't go another week without a car. (My work commute is pretty far) Its been six months and this car has multiple oil leaks, a coolant leak, loose ball joints, etc etc. SO much for their "rigorous inspection process to identify any problems that might exist so that we can provide the highest quality used vehicles we can" (quoted from the homepage of their website). They sold me a lemon and I am still paying off the loan I took out for this car. Meanwhile every month since getting it I have had to shell out repair costs that now equal half of what I paid for it. I am very disappointed by all the experience I had with this dealership. first car I bought from here broke down on the same day and I had to tow it to an auto care which told me that the cost of repairing won't worth for this car. I brought back the car to the dealer because I was highly unsatisfied told them I want to return the car which I bought the day before. They told me they can't do refunds but would let me trade for another car. I was very anxious of buying another car from this dealership since the last car didn't even last for a day but I had no choice since they insisted that they can not do refunds. I got a different used car. Now it's only been been 5 month but I'm back at the dealer because the motor of my car broke and I can no longer drive. I also had to fix the coil for this car few months back and it was an additional $500. They sold me a Lemmon car and I am very dissatisfied with their poor quality cars and customer services. read more

I would expect every 1 star review to have a follow from the dealer with some explanation. If my car had oil leaks, had to replace an engine in 6 months.. that dealer better have some comment on the public comment. Otherwise.. I see them as NOT customer focused and NOT caring. I saw one response saying we don't have your name.. did you look under the mothers name. And no big deal.. The only comment responded to by this dealer was the one where they could not find the customer name. LOL - that made it easy. WHY are you not responding to the other ONE star reviews. This is why I love the internet. You can't HIDE. Respond to the one star reviews! 3.5 star is NOT a good review. 4.8 or better is. So you have a lot of work to do. I did look at one of your cars online.. match it to Kelly blue book Your way overpriced. From the reviews I read you have desperate people with bad credit going t you. I had purchased 2 cars from this location when it was a Saturn dealership, when Saturn went under I decided to trade my old Saturn in for a 2009 Impala, in the paperwork they had provided it clearly stated the car had a clean title and had no issues. I go in to get the brakes fixed because the rear brakes seem to be locking up, after $800 the problem still existed. I decided to do a background check and found the car had been in a rear collision accident just 2 months before I bought it. Now that I look at the paperwork they even listed the color as silver and having black leather interior, even though the color is blue and is has black cloth interior, I figured this is so they could hide the true past of the vehicle. Buyer beware from this location, I understand it's going to fall on me live and learn I guess, But I sure won't be trusting this or ANY Rydell auto outlet store, which includes friendly Chevrolet which is where I was told they got the car from. read more
