This used car dealership was a pleasure to work with. Their staff were direct and pleasant. It did not feel like every other car buying experience I have had. And after looking several times at their inventory on the Blaine, MN lot it was apparent they deal in good quality used cars that are still in great condition (although some will have high miles). My wife and I were trading in her Honda Civic for something a little bigger with a baby on the way, and every other dealer we went to tried to low-ball us because of some minor dings/dents in the back quarter panel from someone hitting her in a parking lot. No paint missing, no cracks; you could hardly see the damage. We had 1 dealership offer us $7k, when Kelly Blue Book said it was worth $8.5-9.5k even with "significant" damage. Bedrock Motors did not mess around and offered us $9,800 right away, and we were able to negotiate that higher by almost $1,000. I have now been driving our new Saturn Vue (my wife got my car) for a few days, and I am amazed we were even considering some of the other vehicles we test drove at other dealers. This Vue looks like new inside and out. Bedrock Motors will get some serious consideration from us the next time we need a new used vehicle. read more

just months after purchasing a car, a mechanic found it needed major engine repairs -- worth more than the car. i brought it back to have Bed Rock assess the problem and see if they could find a more affordable fix. despite my sincere effort to, yes, you read that right: PAY THEM MORE MONEY TO FIX IT, they were rude and dismissive and have since blown me off completely. All I wanted was an estimate for repairs on the lemon they sold me, which I have yet to receive. if the thought of buying a used car already has you leery, I would highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. read more

They straight up lied to my face about the financing. They SWORE to me the credit union would change the rate of my loan to the rate I had negotiated with the credit union if I used their forms to initiate the financing. They showed no remorse when confronted about it (they actually basically dodged talking about it at all). I was lucky my credit union took pity on me and allowed me to refinance the same week I financed the car. They also sold me a car with a punctured tire that deflated every week. They made sure to fill it up when I left so it didn't activate the tire light for week after I bought it, and I thought it was a cold air problem because I bought my car in December. I have also heard reports of gift cards in exchange for positive reviews, and the generic descriptions of the "positive experiences" do read like astro-turffed reviews. The biggest question is where to start. Chip in windshield (driver line) that they failed to address, not to mention they wanted me to fall it on my insurance. Rust above passenger door from prior damage that even the GM indicated was not rust. (Laughable) and finally the engine oil is showing 30% life, which is ironic with an oil change sticker from Bedrock. I talked to this young idiot for a week and asked if anything was wrong with it and I got the response of "no" for everything. Originally had a great experience here. The deal on the vehicle we purchased was great, and Kent our sales rep was great. However, 2 days ago, I took the vehicle to a tint shop to get my windows tinted. The dealer warranty was expired at this point. After dropping the vehicle off I get a call from the store saying "hey, just so you know your left rear window doesn't roll down" after we drove 30 minutes to get this done. Had Bedrock been honest to us - we still would've purchased the car. Instead, they didn't disclose this fairly large and expensive issue. I can confidently say this issue existed before us purchasing the car - I just hadn't roll the rear windows down, so I wasn't aware. I updated my review on google 2 days ago when it was discovered and haven't been reached out to - which lead to me to put the review here as well. It was horribly inconvenient to drive 30 minutes to the tint location to find out one window can't be tinted till it can roll down. So - if you're gonna shop here - make sure you do your own inspection - and don't take their word from their inspection. They clearly don't mind hiding fairly large and inconvenient issues. read more

I purchased a 2009 Toyota Camry in June. Needed some repairs here and there, nothing new with buying a used car. However, with these obvious repairs noted, the guy we talked with was very stubborn about "no negotiating prices" (should have taken that as a sign). I never took my car outside of the cities for the entire summer and had an oil change done on it once. However, I took a road trip to Duluth mid October, and while we were driving home the engine light suddenly popped up and the power steering gave out. One of the belts in my engine popped off and it was unable to drive us home. FIVE months of having this car. I drive like an old lady and don't leave my house that often, and this dramatic of a break happens. Soon we found out the water pump was broken and water got into the oil of the engine, which it broke entirely. The $2,709.00 warranty Mike sold us is a very basic warranty and covered next to NOTHING. I spent my life savings on this car and it breaking was devastating for me. Be careful with this place, I don't recommend. read more

I was interested in the 2001 toyota tundra they have there right now so I took it to be inspected by a family friend mechanic. We found plenty issues with the truck, but the most major problem is that its been hit in the back left corner. they replaced the bumper to try to hide it but its still very obvious. They are advertising a clean carfax on a truck thats been in an accident. the truck pulls to the right, we're not sure why but we can only assume because of the damage done by the accident. Most of this stuff is not a huge deal with it being such an old truck, but when I brought it back to them they didnt even want to have a conversation about the price. So I'm writing this review mainly to warn anyone thats looking at this truck- it's over priced. Kelly Blue Book says its worth less than $6000 and I'm sure they bought it for much less. Kent or Trent....where do I begin. Worst customer service EVER! Kent/Trent called us asking if we were still interested in a car that we had looked at the past week. He called us on 11/25 saying the car is still there and if we were interested in buying....we said yes, we also asked him to let us know if it sells, that way we don't have to drive all the way to Blaine. I have been there several times and I never seem to get anyone to come outside and ask me if I have any questions like most dealerships do. I went there one time to look at a truck and I was asked if I wanted to test drive one. The guys said he had to run and bring a vehicle someplace quick and he would be back shortly so he unlocked the vehicle so we could look inside. About 20 minutes elapsed and he still never came back. We were waiting and someone locked the vehicle from inside the building and never heard anything. Customer service & quality control are nonexistent AND we could have died! I purchased a used 2010 Ford Edge with under 100k miles from Bedrock in Nov of 2018. From the moment I entered the dealership it was a stark difference from the 5 other dealerships I'd shopped at earlier that day. No one welcomed me, asked if they could help me, or even approached me for that matter. I patiently waited until a salesman finally made eye contact and I asked if I could look at the Edge they had outside. Instead of walking out with me, or providing any information on the vehicle, he just asked for my DL and then handed me the keys and said to go out. I took it for a test drive and then proceeded to carefully look over the vehicle in the lot. My father, who is a mechanic, was with me and after a good 30 minutes of checking fluids, looking for anything that might look problematic, and testing everything, we still never once had a salesman come out to ask how we were doing. During this we realized that the wiper fluid sprayers didn't work. I went inside to inquire about having them fixed prior to buying the vehicle. They agreed to fix them while we waited and did the necessary paperwork. At this time they gave me a list of all the work their shop had done on the car, which included new breaks. They told me that they stand behind all their vehicles; great, so I thought. Once all was said and done they gave me the keys to go home. The first thing I did was try the wipers, and guess what? The sprayers still didn't work, despite the fact the car was literally just pulled up from the shop on site. They clearly hadn't tested the wipers after the new sprayers were installed. Their excuse was that they didn't have the Ford pieces, so they used a generic brand. I don't mind that they used generic pieces, but who doesn't check their work prior to giving it to a customer? They said that they'd order the proper Ford pieces and I could come back the following week to have them installed. I agreed. During these first couple of days, it started lurching & the check engine light came on. I had them look into this while they were installing the new fluid sprayers. The mechanic told me he couldn't find anything wrong. Well, after some more sporadic lurching, online research, and a free check engine light reading at another dealership, I learned that the air filter was absolutely filthy and not properly installed which was tripping the check engine light with a torque calculation error. Now, how can a dealership who claims to have done extensive service on a vehicle prior to sale somehow fail to notice a filthy and improperly installed air filter? Let's fast forward to 3/3/19. My husband and I were driving on I-35 E and as we took an exit ramp our vehicle completely lost braking capabilities. We were lucky that no other cars were in our immediate path and the light at the end of the off-ramp was green. We were able to get the vehicle to my father, who is a mechanic, and he discovered that both bolts that should be holding the brake caliper together were missing and the rear driver's side brake caliper had therefore completely fallen off! He then checked the rear passenger's side and discovered that 1 of the 2 bolts that should be holding that caliper together was missing and the 1 remaining was about to fall off too! The mechanic at Bedrock clearly didn't tighten the bolts on either side of the vehicle after doing the brakes. Nor did anyone double check his work before selling it. This mechanic's COMPLETE NEGLIGENCE could have cost my husband and I our lives!! After my purchase in Nov. I received a letter in the mail telling me to leave Bedrock Motors a 5 star review online and they would send me a $20 gas gift card. I didn't leave them a review at that time because there was no way they provided me with 5 star service. It wasn't necessarily bad enough to leave a negative review, but now, after this incredibly negligent discovery was made I chose to write a review so everyone looking for a vehicle knows to avoid Bedrock Motors at all costs. read more

This is probably the worst car lot I've been to today I went here simply trying to purchase a car. To be specific a Honda mini van nothing to extravagant. When I went in to talk to a sells associate the guy greeted then went to ask if I was dropped off by an Uber or Lyft. I didn't think to much of so I went on to say yes I did. Then without asking any other questions as to the vehicle I wanted to purchase. He says that I can't test drive it or anything because I don't have any collateral and because they have a lot of cars being stolen. Then after he pretty much stereotyped me as if I was going to steal a mini van from him he offers for me to fill out a application as if that makes it better. After that I didn't want to because I was very appalled at what he said and how he said the tone he used wasn't very polite either. So I told him no thanks and exited the establishment. Then when I was about to call my Lyft to go home I thought that I should go talk to the manager about it. When he came out and I told him what happened he apologized but it didn't feel sincere at all. It felt as if he was apologizing simply because he knew that's what he had to do as a manager. So I give Bedrock Motors 1 star on their very poor service thank you and I forgot to add that he didn't ask my name and isn't there suppose to be someone from the car lot in the vehicle with you when you test drive it? I purchased a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban from Bedrock Motors in July of 2012 (from salesperson Trent) and would never go back to this dealership. After unsuccessful negotiations for new tires and/or a reduced purchase price, I continued my search elsewhere. The following day, Trent called me back and indicated that they had some "take off" tires from a new Suburban that they weren't using - with very low miles on them. I took him up on the deal and bought the Suburban with the "take offs." A couple days later my tire pressure light came on and I went to the local Discount Tire where I was informed that they couldn't fix the sensor because the tires were too old. Evidently the Department of Transportation places a number on the tire so you can track the year it was manufactured. The tires put on my Suburban were between 8 and 10 years old! Not only were they too old to be safely driven on any longer, the folks at Discount Tire took me back into the shop and showed me how the tires had been "altered" to look new with some sort of adhesive. I immediately called Bedrock Motors and the general manager had to check with Trent, accused me of misrepresenting the deal made with Trent to purchase the vehicle in exchange for the "take offs" with very low miles, and then offered to pay for half of a set of new tires. I countered that I would just buy my own new tires and take Bedrock to conciliation court for the amount of the new tires...and added that I had in my possession the evidence of the altered tires and we could let a judge decide. Ultimately Bedrock paid for a brand new set of tires from Discount Tire for the Suburban but the worst part was that they wanted Discount Tire to hold the tires for them so they could come pick them up! Perhaps to try to take advantage of another consumer?!?! I will never do business with this dealership again and wouldn't recommend anyone else doing so either.
