When we walked into the restaurant, we were greeted by a waitress with the warmest and prettiest smiles. She was friendly and pleasant the entire time we were there. That really was the best way to start our day. We ordered short stacks of pancakes and steak and eggs to share. The aroma from the pancakes and steak immediately made us set a high expectation to the food. The pancakes were fluffy, the steak was cooked to our liking, the home fries were crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. I loved that they offered marble rye bread as one of the toasts choices. It's the first time I had it. Boy, everything about that toast was perfect! We couldn't finish all the food because the portion sizes were huge. It's the best diner food we ever had! Not only that we enjoyed our food, we loved the hometown neighborhood diner decor vibes. We also both had the traditional breakfast - 2 eggs, hash browns, a breakfast meat (crisp bacon for me, sausage links for my cousin), and 2 slices of buttered toast ($14.95).
