I love it here! I've been coming here for years. My server, Chris, was super friendly and very attentive to our group. I had the coffee, western omelette, hash browns, bacon and toast. Everything I had was delicious. This is my go to order here. I'll definitely be back again soon!

Was in Syracuse for the weekend and this was right up the street from where I was staying for a late Sunday breakfast. Environment was relaxing, walked in and could sit wherever we wanted and the waitress was over quickly. Some of the positives were the staff were very nice, the food came quick, pancakes were good and pricing was more than fair. Food lacked a little bit of taste for diner breakfast. Felt like it was a very average omelette with a large amount of cheese in the middle. Just your average diner.

This has been a great place to stop by to grab breakfast in the morning. If I'm heading out this way early in the morning, chances are I'll be passing this place anyway. In my experience the orders are always ready pretty quick, and never later than they indicate over the phone or on their website. I love that they handle the orders right on their own website (no gouging from a 3rd party service). It's a simple process, and I would can run through it before I walk out the door, knowing that by the time I get there it'll be ready and paid for. As far as the quality of the food, it's all about what you'd expect from a diner. I haven't had anything that makes them a must try place, but anything I've had was reliably good, made on time, and service has been great. They've got a pretty big menu, so even after eating here a dozen or so times there's still things I'd like to try. You get way more with your money than you would a fast food place - better quality food for about the same price. If you're eating on the go, the breakfast sandwiches are great, and you get them with a full order of tots for $7.99. Not a lot to say about the food, but it's a great alternative to fast food in quality, convenience and price.

I was taking here so we could have brunch the place was pretty crowded apparently this is the second location the platters are huge prices are very economical and they're quick to serve even local police stops here plenty of parking and I was happily surprised that they had a great selection for everyone to choose from I have a headache and eggs with home fries totally delicious.

A bit of a disappointment really. There are so many good diners to choose from that I would put this way down my list. Especially as it's next door to a much better place. When you enter, there's nothing to let you know whether or not to wait for seating so you stand there looking foolish until you just sit yourself and hope! I was served coffee fairly quickly but getting my order taken was longer. I ordered 2 eggs, over medium, bacon and fries and raisin toast. Eggs and bacon arrived but no fries so I had to wait again. When I finally tucked in, the eggs were incredibly runny and rather unpleasant in texture. Whatever bacon they're using is extremely salty and the raisin toast was thick, doughy and unappetizing. Couldn't eat much of it. Fries were good when they finally arrived. Hate giving bad write ups but unless I'm 100% honest, there's not much point in posting. I will try again though. Anyone can have a bad day.

The service is pleasant and inviting. The food portions are worth the price! The Betty boop collection in the diner is amazing! This place brings it back to a time where you get to know your server and have good conversations and feel at home. Retro style chairs at the bar to get that up close and personal service. Next time I come to Syracuse, this will be my go to place for all my meals! Oh and say hi to Chris! He is an amazing server!

I was in town from Rochester with a local friend and we had tried Little Gem Diner first, but it was unfortunately closed. Our server, Chelsea was THE ONLY good in our experience at this diner! Shortly after we were seated, 2 line cooks began to very loudly verbally argue from the kitchen. It could be heard throughout the entire restaurant and lasted until finally Chelsea had to call the manager to take action. When our food came out, the roast beef sandwich my company ordered had a bizarre taste, like a frozen Steak-Ums kind of flavor. He was unable to eat it. My patty arrived and although the Tater Tots were edible, the patty which I ordered medium rare was completely raw. We relayed all of this to Chelsea and she not only apologized for the cook's behavior, but took the patty melt off the check. We took it to go and brought it home to cook properly. In all honesty, we would not return.

Much better visit this time around. The food was quick and good, and the waitress was pleasant and tentative. The food portions are big! Ended up taking half of my breakfast home with me.

Nice time once again. I ordered the Dean Martin pasta. Was not what I expected. Thought it would be in a garlic oil base but it was baked with loads of mozzarella cheese which I don't really like. Broccoli and tomatoes were added. Got a picture of it half eaten. My father ordered a gigantic omelet that he devoured. Service was fast and waitress was attentive. I just won't order the pasta dish again

Burnt eggs... egg powder maybe? Not real eggs

Burnt eggs. Horrific home fries. How is this place still open. Literally the worst breakfast I've had from a diner. I'd give it no stars if I could. Staff was great and friendly. They just serve dog food

We came here last week for the first time , so a week later and I ask the wife where she wants to eat this week....she said Stella's. Same excellent service and excellent dishes. Try the chicken cordon blue pasta. Probably be back next week too

I sat at the counter and my server was great... very friendly and happy I was there. I got there around 7:30AM and it was basically dead, but by the time I left, there was a steady line of folks coming in. Their menu has all the typicals that these places have, many things I enjoy. I tried their corned beef hash (which I requested well-done with jalapeños added), scrambled eggs with cheese, and I also got a side of their breakfast potatoes with sausage gravy on top. The food came out quickly and was piping hot & freshly made. The quantity of potatoes for a single side dish were HUGE! Definitely enough to share. The scrambled eggs were PERFECTLY made! I'm an egg snob, I never want any over-cooked egg visible (no brown) and these were perfectly colored and tasted great. The corned beef hash was good as well. Overall, I enjoyed this visit and I would most definitely return!

I got the sausage gravy over home fries for the first time and I have never had anything like it - it was warm and salty and had a nice crunch with the cooked home fries. There were a lot of people but the noise level was great and everyone seemed to be having a yummy and amazing time.

This was the best diner breakfast I've had in a very long time. I'll get my one grouse, not a complaint, out of the way first. The rye bread didn't have seeds. But... The coffee was fresh ground. The pot emptied so fast it was always fresh brewed. I'm a weird coffee person, and that was the best cup out of a Bunn maker I've ever had. The scrambled eggs were properly cracked from the shell, not from a bucket. The sausage patty was made with a mild breakfast sausage, hand formed from loose sausage. Home fries were cooked on the grill with enough peppers and onions to qualify as a serving of vegetables. (My wife approved.) If that is not old school enough for you, the rye toast was grilled, not toasted. Service was great, and the coffee cup never was empty. The parking lot in back is small, so if you have a large vehicle do yourself a favor and park across the street. We went on a Sunday morning. The place was full, but tables turned over quickly enough that we didn't wait. One nice touch, the bowls for creamers and jam were Syracuse China. You have to love a diner that is home town proud. And the breakfast is so good it is worth the few minutes drive off the highway.

Even though the restaurant only had two large parties and wasn't particularly busy, we still waited 35 minutes to be seated. That alone didn't make sense, but things only went downhill from there. It was my daughter's birthday, and we were hoping for a fun brunch. Our server started off friendly, but that changed quickly. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time--a chai tea for me, a specialty alcoholic milkshake for my daughter, and no drink for her boyfriend, plus three entrées and a poutine. The drinks took 50 minutes to arrive. The food took over an hour and a half. During all this, the server seemed to avoid our table entirely. When my daughter's boyfriend finally managed to get her attention--very politely, even mentioning that he himself is a server--he simply asked if she had an estimate on our food. She stood there with her hand on her hip and told us the kitchen was backed up, with "three orders ahead of yours," as if that explained everything. We then asked if the poutine, our appetizer, was at least ready. She said they had to make fresh potatoes for it but that she would "rush it." Eventually, she came back with the poutine, plopped it down on the table, and walked away without a single word. No "here you go," no "do you need anything," and--most importantly--no plates. I ended up getting up and asking the hostess for plates so we could actually eat the appetizer. For a place that markets itself as a "fancy diner" with "Instagram-worthy" dishes, the service and execution were nowhere near acceptable. If you're going to lean into trendy presentation and premium pricing, you need the staff to support it. Hire more people. Train them. Do something--because this was unacceptable from start to finish. We won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a smooth, enjoyable dining experience. **EDIT** I would like to include the fact of the over priced, over salted, food items don't seem to cover the cost to upgrade your cracked booths so that people's bums are hurt from sitting on them. Needs to be updated and correct staffing issues so that food will be "adequate" for the price. Go anywhere on Westcott than here.

Walking through the restaurant was nice as the space was very large and the decor indoor was cozy and whimsical. Our server was nice throughout the meal. However, I did get a water glass that had marks on it that looked like someone just drank out of it and a crumb on the rim. I asked them if they could get me a clean cup and they ended up bringing the same one as the same mark and crumb were still there. For food, our table ordered a few items to share. We got: -CAULIFLOWER WINGS: The chutney/salsa on top of the fried cauliflower was nice and gave the item a little sour kick. However, the cauliflower itself was not cooked fully so not as soft as I wanted it to be. -SYRACUSE POUTINE: The appearance of the poutine was not the best. However, the gravy it came with was very flavorful and tasty. The potatoes themselves were not fried and were in wedge form but went well with the gravy. The small globs of melted cheese on top were a nice complement. -CAJUN SLIDERS: The slider compliments/sauce went well together but the sliders themselves had grill marks on it which gave a bitter bite to those parts of the slider. Additionally, the fried shrimp inside of the slider still had the tail on and so it was a bit of a surprise to bite into a full tail while eating a slider. All in all, a cute spot to see people but food had some hit or miss components.
