This place has an old fashion look and feel, as they have been around for quite some time. Parking is always available, right next to the barber shop! Place is well organized, and clean! Some places have very strong chemical smell, but Kelly's does not. I usually call ahead to make an appointment, though I have also walked in on Saturday as they serve based on first come. Folks working there are very timely (I usually come in and get seated at appointed time) or most I may wait is 5-10 minutes, and also very friendly. Though I see mostly men there, since it's a full salon, I do see women there from time to time. I may be going there when there's more men traffic, due to scheduling my haircut around my work schedule. I've received very good and consistent haircuts, and straight blade shave! All while having friendly chat with folks working there. I would highly recommend Kelly's. Cost is very reasonable, friendly service, and they do an awesome job!

I was changing my hair big time (it was down to the middle of my back, dead at least to my shoulders and I wanted to get it to blonde from the red it was *unnatural manic panic blood red*, and I knew how hard it was going to be to try and lift that color out without my hair turning completely orange) and I needed someone that would listen to what I wanted and do it RIGHT. Melissa is that person! I called on Thursday and spoke to Melissa, telling her all of this, and she made me an appointment for that Saturday afternoon and cleared her schedule for the rest of that day. I could not be more happy with the way my hair turned out!! She did her best to lift out the red, and she ended up bleaching out as much as she could, and in the end we decided to leave what was bleached and have light pink streaks throughout the rest of my hair, it turned out kinda like a reverse ombre, and I LOVE it!! I showed her a picture of how I wanted it cut, and she did it BETTER! I wanted it very short in the back, longer strands on the sides and cute side bangs in the front. Most salons boast that they are up to date on the latest cuts and styles when they definitely are not, all they know are layers and straight edges. Melissa understood exactly what I wanted, and the fact that certain cuts are SUPPOSED to be uneven, whether it be the back, sides, bangs etc. Now that I have found Jagged Edge, I will not go anywhere else, and will recommend this salon to everyone that I know! All in all, it was a very good experience. However, even after getting in the barber chair the proper way...I ended up stepping on the foot rest. I got chided.
