Meh... I got an okay haircut here, but that's really all I can say. It was better than if I had done it myself, not awful or anything. The description didn't really live up to an upscale experience for me though. I felt like the person that cut my hair was more winging it and wasn't particularly skilled in this craft. Zero conversation whatsoever, which also was a negative for me. I enjoy having a bit of conversation with my barber, but others may have different preferences. I won't be returning here anytime soon... First, I made an appointment online for a signature haircut. When I walked thru the door, they told me to sit down and asked how I wanted my haircut. I'm not a regular, so it's not like they knew I had an appointment. I wasn't even sure if the lady that cut my hair was the one I had an appointment with. They weren't busy but what's the point of making an appointment if you were just going to take the very next person that walked thru the door. Second, I asked for a low fade and she gave me a high and tight. She messed up the line on the right side and spent the majority of the time trying to fix it. There was also an off putting comment made..."we usually don't cut hair this way". I didn't know a fade was uncommon or difficult. If you call yourself a barber, then you should be able to cut a basic fade. If she wasn't halfway through the cut, I would have walked out right after that comment. It would have been better to be upfront and tell me she couldn't cut my hair instead of making a half-hearted effort. Third, after the cut I was asked if I wanted a rinse. Obviously it's part of the signature cut. I sit in the chair and usually they put a towel on your sink, but she didn't do that. She put a towel on my chest and gave me a quick shampoo. She used the towel to dry my hair and placed it on my neck to use with the neck shave. Of course my shirt was wet afterwards, I'm glad I was just headed to the gym after my haircut. She asked what product I wanted in my hair, I answered with hair gel and she grabbed the first product on the counter. It was some kind of pomade. If you didn't have the product, then you should have said so. Not used whatever you wanted to. Finally, I went to pay and wasn't able to leave a tip. There's a sign on the counter that tips are cash only. If I'm paying with a card, then obviously I'm not carrying much cash. Even though I hated my haircut, I firmly believe in tipping but wouldn't be returning my business or recommending this place to anyone I liked. read more

Very pleasant place physically, like a living room. That was a nice surprise. There are two "barbers"...both are very pleasant ladies. At that time there was no waiting. The haircut was regular, nothing special. With what little hair I have, I can't ask for more. It took around 15 minutes I would guess. Background: Moved to the area and saw the good reviews and gave them a shot. I asked for an undercut with a 1 fade and trim on top, but what I received was anything but. Instead they decided to do a 0 all the way up. Not only that but they chopped off my hair since it didn't naturally fall in a manner they would like. Any reputable barber shop would have understand my request, and if not, they would have confirmed prior to cutting. In short, worst hair cut in my life! I would provide pictures, but I'm too embarrassed. Cons: -Horrible barbering skills -Did not understand undercut or fade -Did not verify what I wanted -In the end she told me to ask for Natalia because she was the "good" barber Pros: -They admitted to the mistake -They did not charge for the cut -They offered free hair cuts until my hair was fixed Conclusion: -Good customer service for their mistake, but the mistake should not have happened in the first place. I have not, and will not, take them up on their offer. If you're in the area I would recommend you drive a bit more and go to Waleed. His skills puts this place to shame. read more

After spending too many years with my Wahl clippers and a #2 (3/4") attachment, I let my hair grow out for a year or so. It was pretty scraggly and in dire need of a cut/style. I had no clue where to go or who to trust so, I turned to Yelp! Boy, I am 100% satisfied with the job Cynthia did with my mop. She did a fantastic job shaping it and even leaving a bit of length understanding that I ride a motorcycle. Gotta keep up the image ya know? Booking an appointment is very easy via their website and usually I can fit in a time to get my hair cut the day before. I had an appointment with Bilijana who did a great job with cutting my hair. I usually get a fade whenever I visit and have had a great experience every time. The staff is also very friendly and attentive. I don't feel like the process is ever rushed and you even get a warm towel/neck shave at the end. I've been coming here for a little over a year and don't plan on changing that anytime soon. read more

Stylish Barbershop with Professional Stylists/Barbers, a great Signiture Cut, and excellent Service. First of all, this is not a necessarily a bargain, so if you want to drop 8 bucks and a 2 dollar tip to have someone buzz you up military style, go elsewhere. But understand that unlike a meal, when you get a bad haircut you look and feel like an idiot for way longer than a day. But if you can spend 30-50 bucks on a cut and all the perks, this is the place to go. Plus if you desire, they also have shoe-shine, shaves, and a few other services as well. The inside is updated, clean, and comfortable. There is a coatrack, big leather couches, flat-screen tvs, and clear veiw to the back. The Signiture Cut involves shampoo, conditioning, hot towel, haircut, back of the neck and sideburns w/ straight razor, a quick massage, AND they give you a free Beer. That paired with the great service, friendly atmosphere, and most importantly excellent finished product make this place a must for haircuts in the area. I don't know if it is the haircut or just my natural good looks, but I have literally caught four women looking at me longer than usual, in the few day since. The haircut looks great and was exactly what I asked for. After yet another mediocre haircut I decided to search out an authentic hair-cutting experience in or around Naperville. I found Studio 95 on yelp and like what I read on their website and on yelp. So I gave them a try. While the haircut was good I was disappointed by the overall experience. I was not greeted when I walked in the door. Although I was stared at no one said hello or welcome. I had to wait until I got the attention of the receptionist. When I said I was a new customer I again expected to treated appropriately and made to feel welcome. When I was directed to the chair I paused because there was hair on the chair (not my own) and I thought that my barber would wipe it down first. Instead I was roughly to sit down. I was also never asked if I wanted their 'signature haircut' or the 'express haircut' which surprised me because I would have thought that they would want to sell their services to a new customer. Finally during the haircut I was told that my hair was difficult to cut! This greatly surprised me because as a customer I should be made to feel great about my hair no matter how 'difficult' it is cut. While I am happy with how I looked I expected more and will try other barbers before going back. read more

Blijona is the lady to see. Everyone here is friendly. The neck shave and time she spends with her clients is Tier 1 service. It's always the best haircuts I've ever had, my sister does hair and has done for 8 years before the past few years of trying to find the right place but found studio 95 a few years back and will always come back. Go to beardsgaard barber in Batavia worth it Can not believe how rude the three people were to me this morning. Needed a beard trim and a haircut. I've been unable to get out of the house for eight weeks due to surgery. I walked in on crutches and received a dirty look from one barber the other two completely ignored me. I got a decent haircut with a friendly barber. Price was okay. I gave only 3 stars because of the greeting I received as well as a comment I heard during my cut. When I arrived, the (lady) staff looked at me like I'm a space alien. I'm a woman with very short hair who requires a barber cut. They frantically called to Mike from the back. He was friendly and gave a great cut. However, he warned me to not identify as a female if I wanted to schedule a cut there in the future. Was recommended to try this barbershop out via a Friend. I have had 3 total cuts at this barbershop and each time I was trying to convince myself that it's a new place so I needed time to adjust to the barbers and perhaps find one for my liking. My first cut was with Elena who appeared to have a decent attitude but for the price ($36 for the mastercut) it was simply a below average cut. My second cut at the shop was actually very good, to my surprise. For my third time I tried making an appointment with the same stylist and after about 10 minutes on the phone I was told she no longer works there. The service over the phone was mediocre and I still decided to give them the benefit of the doubt as they may have been busy. For my third cut I believe I was 10-11 minutes late due snowy weather (by the way there email reminder for my cut was also 10-15 minutes later than the appointment time) and when I walked in I was barely greeted. I apologized for being late but I was told that my stylist can't take me as she had a separate client in 15 minutes. The shop at that time had maybe 2 clients. I told her I could come back at a time she was free but she denied to bring out another barber from the back. I was hesitant already. He washed and conditioned my hair as the first step. They add a hot towel treatment on the face to further relax but the towel was left on my face until it was cold. Remember, there were only 2, maybe 3 maximum clients at this time. Still I gave him the benefit of the doubt and told him how my hair was cut the last time. The barber in fact took plenty of time, however the cut seemed to be very very below average. He did clean behind my ears and neck area very well, and I even complimented him for this. I asked for a fade on the sides and specified the measurements without the appropriate result. It was New Years eve weekend and I decided not to complain about the poor quality service/cut on a Friday morning and instead thanked the barber and even left an above average tip. Ultimately, I will not be returning to this facility for below average quality cuts for an above average price. read more

This place claims to be upscale, but they are low class when it comes to customer service. I bought my fiancé a gift card for Christmas. He has been here before, yet this last time around was a major disappointment. He made an appointment for 12:00 during his lunch hour. He drove from Diehl and 59. The person he had an appointment with was clearly running behind because of the constant yapping from the client in the chair. 30 minutes later at 12:30, he could not wait any longer and told the girl at the front desk he needed to leave. I would have given this place 5 stars as it is stylish and comfortable and not cheap and garish like a chain hair cutery however the cold reception I got was irritating beyond belief! The woman who cut my my sons hair was pleasant and did an excellent job but I can't get over the horrible customer service upon entering the shop! I felt like an inconvenience! As I approached the desk I look directly at a man on a computer who I assumed would greet me but he just looked away from me. Then I had the pleasure of dealing with another woman who stared blankly at me. Judging from her accent she was Russian. I know it's cold in Russia but jeez-if your working the front desk a little welcoming feel would be nice! Having my own business I get very annoyed when I'm not greeted with an ounce of enthusiasm!
