Very good shop with great haircuts. There usually isn't a wait but when there is it's worth it.

Had my haircut here a while back and my gf and brother literally laughed in my face upon arriving home. Had to go to sportsclips for them to correct the mess I was left with after paying $25 I believe it was. There's a reason why it's never got more than one person in there, usually less than that and the barber and hair dressers are sat on their phones or twiddling their thumbs. I've been going to Adolf's for over a year now, and I can honestly say that I won't go anywhere else. There are 3 or 4 ladies that run the place, who obviously enjoy what they do. They each greet you as you walk in, and wish you well on your way out. They hum along to the music. Even on your first visit, you'll be referred to as "my friend." The ladies provide a real barber experience down to the neck shave, and will even fix your eyebrows should you want. They aren't looking to push you out the door, so when you sit down, they'll work with you until you're happy. Like most barbers--at least in my opinion--your hair always ends up a tiny bit shorter than expected, so keep that in mind as you describe what you want. At $18, it's not quite as cheap as an impersonal chain store, but it's worth every penny. They never pressure you for a tip, though they certainly deserve it. read more

Been going to Adolph's for years! Just a good place to get a clipper cut. Even though Village of Lisle decided ripping up all of Main Street and the sidewalk I make the voyage every two weeks - flattops are high maintenance!! Grew up with all Male barbers but Adolph's (currently 10/2008) has all Female barbers and never seen a bad cut. No appointments but you can wait for a certain barber if you'd like. I personally see Patty but others have regulars waiting for them also. No product for sale, no frills, but if you want a great haircut try out Adolph's! read more

Do not get a beard trim, I asked for a little bit off and cleaned up lines. They lopped off months of growth and cut above the jaw line. Straight razors were butter knives and left a lot of nics. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Simple all around shave to a 1. I could do it at home but I pay for a hair cut because I like to get cleaned up by a barber. Supposedly according to the lady she tells me it includes hot lather and shave... doesn't line up the back of my neck. Doesn't pull up a mirror so I could check the back. Just bad barber service, bad barber. 25 bucks so that I could go home and finish the job. Stay away. read more

Just returned from getting my Flattop done by Patty at this shop. She knows how to cut a real Man's Flattop Haircut. I am very pleased and I will return there again for my next cut. All the ladies are very nice and skilled barbers. If you want a very tradiitional Barber shop with all the fixings, great cut, lather neck shave, etc.. these Ladies know their skill. Do not let the exterior of the establishment fool you! Yeah, it looks like the place your grandfather goes to get his hair cut. But that doesn't make it bad. Wasted a lot of money at Great Clips and Sport Clips on haircuts for my son, and they kept on coming out crooked! Finally, I bit the bullet and took my son to a real barbershop. Now he looks great! All the edges straight. Parking is easy, now that construction is over. All in all, I recommend this place to any man that doesn't mind the barbershop of yesteryear.
