My daughter is nine years old and she has only had one haircut in her life. A good friend of mine recommended The Beauty Lounge. Lisa was fantastic, she was honest and considerate. She gave me tips on how to wash my daughter's very long hair, only took off what was agreed upon, and styles her hair beautifully with two braids after the cut. The salon has cool decor. I loved their bathroom. All the stylists seemed real and they were so kind to my daughter who was very nervous about the haircut. Lisa is a mother and was thoughtful when working with my daughter. Antonia is amazing!! I went in with hair that let's just say hadn't been touched in a while and Antonia did her magic! She is very kind , patient and talented. Five more stars! Went for my bi-annual self care. Lisa hooked me up as expected. Went with the balayage treatment; lighter blondes and reds. I let Lisa take charge of how much red and blondes to throw in because she is the pro. When I say I have grown so much hair trust in her, I mean it! She has not let me down thus far and I was soooooo hyped with how my hair came out this visit! Of course, amazing hair cut and multiple treatments were included in my visit. For such quality work, I stayed there from 11 AM to 5 PM but beauty takes time! The girls are so warm and funny and it didn't feel like I was there as long as I was. She was fantastic and gave me great recommendations for my hair type and really helped me figure out what would look the most flattering on me with the color I wanted to do. Let me say that I had a hard time making a switch because I have been going to the same hairdresser for 17 years! This is in my neighborhood which is more convenient. So...I just had sunlights/ bayalage & haircut by Kristen yesterday; I love it! She really listens and does beautiful work. Lisa did my hair for my wedding and Paige did my makeup, and I could not have been happier. Not only did both come out more beautiful than I ever could have imagined, but everything stayed WELL into the night, and looked amazing in our photos. Just left the beauty lounge and I have to say that I am so happy I went there. I got a balayage, cut and blow out by Kristin, and she did a wonderful job! Hands down the best salon in queens. You walk in the door to kind, friendly faces. Immediately feeling at home. A nice lounge in the back with coffee, drinks and snacks. My 7 year old daughter has a weekly stand in appointment with Kristen, she does amazing blow outs and braids on her hair type, which is very tough. I get my hair dyed by lisa and blow outs by them all. I must say I've never been happier with a salon. I look forward to the weekly visits. Love them there! read more

I can't believe that I finally found the right stylist for my hair! My hair is really not difficult, but since my last stylist retired (about 3 years ago), I have not been able to find a new one who can do my hair the right way. Over the weekend I had a bayalage done but learned that lighter hair just doesn't fit my look, not only that but the bayalage looked more like a full head of hilights. I was told that it could be done but it would take several attempts. Well, a little over a year and I was left with short (extremely short) brassy blonde hair. UNTIL YESTERDAY!!!
