I stopped going to this salon for three reasons: 1. There were always mysterious upcharges which bothered me. I was charged for "extended" root touch-up, despite the fact that I touch up my roots every two weeks and only ever have two weeks of growth which needs to be touched up. Hmmm. 2. Syuzan would ALWAYS try to upsell me on all kinds of things, including trying to convince me to switch from my current nail place, get facials from the aesthetician (who by the way was a grouchy lady who seemed to just hate me for no reason, even though I never even spoke to her or got any services from her), etc. 3. I would have to remind Syuzan what my hair color was, and she also struggled with cutting my hair. One time, she said that she needed to make sure all my hair was black, and went off to mix color. I told her that my hair has NEVER been black. One time, she hacked my hair too short, then another time, she barely cut anything, and I had to go back in to have her correct the cut. I just got tired of the miscommunication, hidden charges and upselling. There are other places I can go, where I don't have to struggle with communication and get all these distressing extra charges. read more

Booked an appointment for a Thursday, drove 20 min there was told Syuzan was on her way. Then I was informed she had her bookings "closed" and it must of been a glitch in the system. They asked me to come back the next day when Syuzan was available. Which I did and received the ugliest hair cut I have ever had. I had long hair and asked for a trim with some long layers face framing layers and to cut my bangs shorter. She cut at least 4 inches off my hair. My layers look choppy. My bangs look like I had a 5 year old cut them. It took me so long to grow my hair out just for it to be all cut off in 30 min. She styled my hair with a bouncy blow out (which also looked terrible) so I had no idea till I got home how horrible it looked. Cried for about an hour. I payed 100$ for this haircut and left a 20$ tip. Don't know how this place has 5 stars. Maybe the other hair stylists are better? I don't even want my money back I want to go back in time and not have came back that second day! Alsjust spent 500$ to put extensions into my hair too hide this hideous mess read more

She toned my hair, added the botox treatment, & topped it off with a blow dry and I am super happy with the results!!!! Overall, I wished they were more upfront with their prices and what comes with the service. But also, newcomers! Always ask the hairdresser if that they are doing would cost extra, just in case. This was my first time here and I went to go get a signature haircut, in which online, the cost was $75+. I knew I had pretty long hair (down to my lower back), so I was thinking my haircut would be would around $100. Usually, I would receive a haircut with a blow-dry and style included in the price of the haircut. So when they asked if I wanted to have beach waves, I said sure. I didn't know that would cost extra. My hair looked nice at the end, nevertheless, I was a bit stunned when I received the cost at the front desk. The cost of my haircut was $150. It was not within my budget for sure. I give 20% tip because she did do well, so in total I paid $180. I don't know how I feel because I never paid that much ever for a haircut. I've been to nicer salons, offered snacks and refreshments, and cost of haircuts was much much lower. So, I think the cost was extra for the sake of blow-dry and style. read more

I can't recommend this place enough - I dyed my hair myself during quarantine and it was at least six different colors when I went to The Beauty Room and saw Mariam. First off I got in and out in record time considering how bad of a shape my hair was in. My hair came out amazing and I have received a million compliments on it! But what I loved the most is that everyone there, regardless of my own appointment or their own clients, worked together to bleach, foil, wash, tone, etc. every customers hair no matter who's client it was.
