It is hard to write a review of a place like this. Not like a hotel where you can easily compare. This is a bed and breakfast. It's kitschy, they all are. If you lime thT kind of thing you will like this fine. If you are like me a hotel person it's a tough sell. The person who checked us in was very nice, the grounds are fine. The rooms are spartan and well BB types. Older blankets and furniture which is the style but again if you want hotel like stuff this is not for you. The tv was a nine inch one and sat on a dresser, weird. There were only four outlets in the room and between the room ac unit, the tv and two lamps, no way to charge a phone, laptop, iPod anything. They should put in an extension cord or power strip. Bed as fine, soft, but fine. Bathroom was nice, really nice towels All in all if you are a bb person and like the o,dear more homey stuff this is great. If you like the standard ness of a hotel like me, this can be an odd, not bad, but odd stay I did not have breakfast or snacks so cannot comment. read more

My partner and I went here for our honeymoon. We are definitely bed and breakfast people, so we really liked the Inn at Grey Gables. It's a beautiful old house with really nice group spaces, including a great wrap-around porch. The rooms are small but enough for what you need. We stayed in the Rose Room. It was nice to have our own bathroom, even though it was quite small. Quite a few cobwebs around, but clean where it needs to be (bathroom, sheets, dining room). Plus, while we were there, they had just got in brand new, flatscreen TVs for each room. Also, the location is great. Pretty much anything you would want to do in Charlevoix is only a short walk away, about 5 minutes to downtown. The breakfast was great, with plenty of options and something new all 3 mornings (fresh muffins, french toast, quiche, pancakes, omelets, etc.). A lot of fresh fruit used each day too. Plus, cold water bottles, fruit and chips available all day. Debby is the new inn-keeper and she was great. Extremely helpful with helping us pick the right places for dinner and called around to get reservations, even for our lunches. My partner can't eat strawberries or raspberries, and Debby made separate breakfast items for her each morning. Plus, we had an early tour scheduled one day and she served a full breakfast at 7am just for us! Debby is very accommodating and friendly. read more

Loved the friendly welcoming feeling of this place and its staff! We checked in early before heading to a wedding and they made us fresh coffee, had freshly baked cookies for us with their turn down service and had an amazing home cooked breakfast for us in the morning. The room and bathroom was very clean and well kept with super soft towels, Aveda brand toiletries and nice and air conditioned in the hot summer. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay again! read more

The Belvedere B&B - Breakfast! - Bed & Breakfast Near Me - Charlevoix, Michigan

The breakfast was good and the staff was nice. Other than that I would never stay there again. The outside siding is covered in webs or stuff from the trees and bugs...looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. The landscaping was not kept up. The house itself smells like smoke along with all the towels in the room. Comforter had yellow streaks on it...possibly animal pee? Plus there were other nasty things on it not sure what it was. Bathroom floor was sticky. My husband was so grossed out he refused to sleep under the covers. I lifted them back and there were stains all over them...not sure if they were clean. read more

The host was very rude and creepy, This was a very bad expereince for my wife and I. We left early to stay at a much nicer hotel, Stay away from this B&B. The host is a real jerk! I do not see how this B&B had good reviews...? read more
