He wasnt looking where he was going while facing uphill and ran right into her. The sharp back edge of his board cut her wide up open and left a deep bruise. It ruined our whole trip to michigan. Afterwards he refused to get snow patrol and was more interested in continuing his training session rather than helping my wife who was on the ground crying and in immense pain. He left and I had to help her myself even though she couldnt put any weight on her right leg. Hey patella tendon might be torn and she may never be able to snowboard again. I THINK THESE MORONS SAW SHES BLACK AND TREATED HER LIKE SHE SHOULDNT BE THERE. 2 days later and I cant get Boyne highlands to call me back or send me their insurance they have for their instructors. AVOID THIS PLACE COMPLETELY IF YOU THINK THE BOYNE MANAGEMENT WILL TAKE CARE OF THE DAMAGE THEY CAUSE YOU.

I was told I wasn't allowed to have my hammock up and had to remove it. Since I couldn't use my hammock I couldn't use the site and asked for a refund No refund was given, they just cancelled it and returned 40 percent of what I paid. The ranger was rude and unhelpful. So frustrating to have a terrible experience after 10 years of enjoyment.

The access to Boyne Mountains is through the resort ski lift. Our visit is during summer time…read more There is no snow on ski slope. But we enjoy the ski lift to the mountains. Top of the mountain has some trails and the temperature is cool. They have a suspension bridge that connect to other side. No matter the view and trail, we enjoy our time here. The ski lift is unlimited for the day to ride. We saw many take the lift for several time.

It had a café, five individual lifts, plenty of fun trails and a massive terrain park. The café at Otsego was a very nice one, and had a large fire which was great to come into on a cold day. Unfortunately I wasn't able to be there for too long, and therefore couldn't see too many things that they served, but one thing I know was that the hot chocolate is great and the candy bars are delicious. The trails at Otsego were also great, but had a bit of a higher skill level. They had a few easy blues and greens, like Für Elise and Alan's alley for begenners, but no bunny hill, a load of blacks like waterfall and master's, two steep duo trails that me and my dad very much liked and even a few fun double blacks like Bob's Glade, a exciting and adrenaline-giving slope that emptied out into a easy green. The terrain park was also super fun, with gigantic jumps that sent me very high up into the air but no rails, which was ok but not as cool as it could be. The only rail I could find was a few rotten blocks of wood that someone had thrown together and then left to the power of the forest.

Our room was comfortable enough but outdated as were the exterior and hallway finishings. We were attending a conference and every staff member we encounter was friendly and helpful. The camaraderie at the bar was fun and comfortable however the pool area was like something out of a scary movie. Everyone seems to complain about the rooms. I agree, they're not good. It's the golf we go here…read morefor, and the courses are great. Unfortunately, they do nothing to help pace of play. It always sucks. This last trip, on our second day, we left after taking almost 3 hours for 6 holes. A ranger actually came up to us and explained how 2 groups ahead of us they were taking way too long to find lost balls. Why the @#%&# would he not insist that they limit their search time? We left after just those 6 holes. I love the courses, but I doubt I will ever play there again. Even on "good" days it's nearly 6 hours for as round. What a shame. I'm sure as long as they fill their tee sheets, they will never have their rangers do anything to speed up pace of play.

For 180 bucks I would've expected much friendlier service. The girl at the cart return did not want to be there, and was noticeably frustrated when I asked for a bucket of balls.....not sure what we did to frustrate the staff but at the front desk, bar, and cart return everyone seemed pretty bummed and not happy to be at work. Otherwise great golf course and a 9/10 hot dog.

As a group you can take a run and plan to meet friends/family right back to the top. Enjoy the fire pit along the way to the red lift if you need a quick warmup. The food is basic and nothing real special to make mention the of. I find it overpriced which matches with other resorts that continue to do the same. I'd plan to bring food and beverages and avoid eating here if you can help it. Great place to ski
