The purpose of my call was specifically to explore having my parents work with an attorney instead of proceeding with the LDA, and I was prepared to pay for the legal services myself. Unfortunately, I was not given the opportunity to explain this before assumptions were made about my parents' intentions and the call was abruptly ended. I found the interaction extremely upsetting and unprofessional. Regardless of whether someone is a potential client, I believe every person deserves to be treated respectfully and given the opportunity to explain why they are calling. Based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable recommending this attorney.

We received Homework to complete such as what are our memorial arrangements, names of doctors, allergies, specific gifts we would like to give to family. One, for my mother in 2009 and the second one for myself with an amendment done around 2016. Over the last 10 years or so, I have sent "several" emails to Judd Matsunaga with general questions regarding my trust. Almost every time I received no response and when I called it was hard to get concrete answers. Nonetheless, the thought of starting over seemed like more work so today I called asking about what the charges would be for amending my trust. After speaking with Monica, a fairly new attorney and informing her about the previous poor customer service. She said she would ask the CFO about waiving the initial consultation fee before actually determining what the amendment costs would be. I had already begun to research other estate planning options but was open to at least hearing what the costs might be. But after speaking with the curt, rude and unempathetic CFO Yuki, I would not do business with this firm. Rather than being a good listener since I am the customer I was treated rudely and disrespectfully. Instead, of taking the high road and saying I am sorry you experienced this but we can still help you I got a lecture and was questioned what email address I had previously sent my complaints too. Completely, missed the boat on good customer service in a "people service" industry. I will be sure to mention to my fellow peer group who all use or need trusts and estate planning to stay clear of Elder Law. I've worked with a different probate attorney in Redlands before, so will be using them for trust administration. That said, need simple documentation for Trust Certification. The Elder and Disability Law Firm will only supply me with a copy of an 86 page Trust document. There is no simple Trust Certification document - which should be standard so that banks and other organizations don't need to have the entire trust document. They just need the name of the trust and identification of the successor trustee. Do not understand how a law firm that specializes in this doesn't have this documentation readily available. They had the gall to tell me that the estates "new lawyer" should draw one up. I suppose this level of incompetence justifies using a different lawyer to handle the estate.
