Not sure what happened to original boysenberry syrup and jam, but what they are selling now is awful. The syrup is very thin and lacks depth of flavor, and the jam/preserves taste very artificial and cheap. They definitely are not the original recipes/formula. Even the label is different. SAVE YOUR MONEY, you will be greatly disappointed if you are expecting the original recipes. Shame on Knotts for deceptive business. read more

Get your boysenberry fix here. Cobbler and muffin mixes, cookies, preserves, butter and lip balm too. One of the few places where I can pick up boysenberries in light syrup for pie making. I also grabbed a cobbler mix because who doesn't love cobbler at this time of year? Loved the tableware here, gorgeous ceramic chickens, bowls and platters. Beautiful for a kitchen or outdoor dining. Teas, coffees and loads of products to fill your pantry. I spent only $30 and that's because we visited after eating lunch. Proof it's best to shop when you're full! This was the least-satisfying stop during our Knott's day for the Boysenberry Festival / YEE Ditch Day. We checked it out in the evening after dinner and on the way back to the car. Laid out in a colorful and well-stocked way, there was a lot to visually recommend it. They also had some featured displays which were cleverly done and showed off the merchandise well. As I browsed the boysenberry options, highlighted for the Boysenberry Festival, was disappointed to see that only full-sugar options were available. For a long time now, some makers of jams / jellies / preserves have figured out how to make delicious recipes using only natural fruit without added sugar. I didn't see anything like that in the store. When I asked one of the employees, he was emphatic that they didn't have any no sugar added options in the whole store. Okay then. He wasn't that friendly when rendering the news, either. That was two strikes in a row. We used their restrooms, in a secret inner atrium, accessible through the back doors of the market. The area is lined with pothos plants and features a waterfall in a tropical semi-steamy environment. You can only get to this area through the market during their open hours. There's also a brick-lined room off to the side, which looks like it had another use in a previous lifetime. A secret spot, for sure! In the end, though the bottles and jars of fruity delights, plus the candy case, had appeal, I decided not to buy anything in a small little protest to the lack of any healthier choices. read more

This is always a fun little stop for me. When visiting Knott's Berry Farm, you have to take home some jam. Walking through here reminds me of my youth hanging out in my Grandma's kitchen. The Berry Market also sells gift packs, coffee, kitchen utensils, cake and cobbler mixes, and all sorts of other collectables. The Market is located in the Knott's California Marketplace next to Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant. If you know the story, the Knott family sold berries, pies, and berry preserves at a roadside stand before Mrs. Knott opened her famous chicken restaurant. The theme park followed to entertain the guests as they waited for a table. The rest was history. Today you can still buy their signature boysenberry jam along with all the other flavors that they offer. Recently I bought some cobbler mix to make at home. They also sell jam with alcohol if you want to add a little kick to your morning toast. read more

The Berry Market really is one of the hidden gems at Knotts! They sell a variety of preserves including their world famous boysenberry! After this previous visit I learned something new and quite interesting about the Berry Market line of preserves. It turns out that the boysenberry recipe they use for the Berry Market line is as close to Cordelia Knott's original recipe as you can get and wow is it good! The other preserves you can get at your local market that say Knotts on them are a cheap ripoff that is brought to you by Smuckers since they have a copyright on the Knotts name. The Smuckers version is good but it's definitely got nothing on the Berry Market line so be sure to grab some of the original stuff wile you are here. The Berry Market has a number of other delicious items on sale too many of which are flavors of preserves you don't normally see in stores. One of the best things they sell here is Knotts Berry Punch Concentrate so you can bring home the delicious flavor of Knotts signature drink oh it's sooo yummy and always good to have around for those times you can't make it to the farm to get some. Overall The Berry Market rules and is a great addition to Knotts and is a must visit when I'm running low on boysenberry goodness for home! read more

I've never had an issue with customer services at the Berry Market or anywhere else in the shopping area. I did a quick run in for a Carmel Apple. The lady was going on break but said she could help me out really quick since her coworker was with another customer. They do have some interesting items on the shelves. I love this store! Definitely a must stop for all of your knotts and boysenberry goodies. I come here if I'm nearby or I need to stock up on boysenberry food- I do get quite a few things.. I do wish that they would carry the boysenberry ketchup! My favorites are probably the BBQ sauce, the mustard, and the chocolate bar. There's even a neat little hidden restroom inside, with some Knotts history there, with some great photo ops. read more

Before Knotts was a theme park it was a farm and that farm sold berries. To me that makes this shop a historic landmark. This place definately stays true to it's simple berry farm roots but it also offers various types of chocolates and other sweet treats. I bought some boysenberry short bread cookies and some boysenberry honey. They also had a nice variety of different jams to chose from. The Berry Market has unique products backed by the famous Knotts name but it seems like they have so many tourists walking through their store that the staff do not bother to engage, assist or educate them. They seemed to just stay quietly behind the counter waiting for people to come to the register. This place could easily be a 4 or 5 star shop in my opinion if they engaged customers in a friendly way out on the floor and offered to assist. read more

What a fun store to walk through. I didn't have enough time to take any pictures but I did have time to just look around. They have a huge variety of jams, spreads, random knock knacks and surprisingly a lot of Stonewall Kitchen products. Once you enter, they greet you and then you get slightly overwhelmed with everything in the store. They have shelves of jams and jellies. They have tables filled with Stonewall Kitchen products. They have syrups and other random kitchen knick knacks. Like I said, not a bad place to look around. Anyhow, we purchased some jams and they were a little pricey - $7 for a small jar but totally worth it. They also ask you if you're a season holder pass because I think you get a discount for being one. Overall, the staff is friendly, the store is organized and clean. Would I come back? If only I was in the area and if I was going to stop by the Knott's Chicken Dinner restaurant. read more

Stopped in to get an apple and Boysenberry pie for Father's Day. They had easy temporary parking so I could just run in and out. Both of the pies were amazing!!!! Also, I noticed that the "Knotts" boysenberry jam I buy at the super market just didn't taste very good anymore- turns out Smuckers bought the "Knotts" name for jams years back and changed the recipe. Here, you can get the original Mrs Knotts recipe "berry market" jams and they are amazing. You can buy the jam online rather than going all the way to Buena Park. read more

I have been in process of trying to efficiently order a gift of jam for a relative for the last week. If I could give the place a lower rating than one star and have it see, I would. Unclear website is not user friendly and no usable phone number that anyone will actually answer. Finally after two days of trying got someone at the park to transfer me to a supervisor who said the order was placed. No confirmation email and no tracking number. They Abe been saying since Wednesday I would "get it tomorrow". It is now Sunday and I still haven't gotten it. I hope this review makes it to the CEO and some action taken. I can't believe I am the only one that has had this problem. Maybe we are all too used to Amazon's superb customer service, but I do think this is terrible business. Find another source if you are considering jam. This is the pits!!! UPDATE: 10 Days later I have never gotten a confirmation yet!!!! read more
