Two days later I haven't heard back…read more Here's a rather snotty reply from the apparent owner on this exact subject: "Thank you for recognizing that we're extremely busy. I understand your position. We do the best we can balancing our time to actually do our work and respond to inquiries. I can't apologize for being successful, and hope you understand our situation." Apparently, answering customer inquiries is not "our work." As for the unforgivably high-handed "I can't apologize for being successful" I would say that if you're that "successful" you should be able to afford to hire someone to answer the phone and handle customer inquiries. Could you imagine leaving your guitar with them and then having to jump through hoops, if not show up in person, to find out if it's ready for pickup? Here are a couple of reviews reproduced here for your convenience: "this place is terrible, no communication with the customers, terrible interactions and no common sense! do not take your instruments here, find somewhere else to take your business. If I could leave 0 stars I definitely would!" "Don't go here if you value your time as they certainly won't. You can't just drop off a guitar during normal business hours, you have to make an appointment. No problem! I took the first available appointment (10:30am on a Friday) and notified my employer that I would have to pop out of the office that day to drop off my guitar. When I arrived the door was locked and lights were off. No problem! I'm 5 minutes early I'll just wait. When 10:35 rolled around, I decided to call their number. No answer but the voicemail system recommended I text them. So I left a voicemail and sent a text and then waited in my car. I waited until 10:50 for a response before I left. When I got back to my office, I received a very curt response that they had arrived at 10:45. No apology for no call/no show, not a single attempt to make it right. I'll enclose screenshots of that lovely conversation. I will take my business elsewhere." Needless to say, a word to the wise is sufficient.

We inherited a piano back in 2005 and it hasn't been used or tuned in over 20 years, some keys were…read moresticking, and it sounded poorly. I called several shops to ask about repairs but during each call, I was getting "attitude" over the phone from the employee due to my lack of piano/musical knowledge. I found this funny as I'm the one with the money and they're the lowly employee. Enough said. I searched the web and came across Jake's Piano Shop. Jake came over and took a good look at our piano. I explained to Jake I have zero knowledge in this area so dumb it down. Jake did. He too the time to explain what the piano was, what it needed, what he could do for us, etc. We hired Jake and he dismantled part of the piano, took what he needed to his shop, ordered parts, did XYZ, and came back 2 weeks later to assemble our piano. Jake hand tuned our piano using his hearing, and during the tuning process, he played the piano to attain the right pitch of each key. I was impressed. Again, I don't know music but I understand "craftsmanship" and Jake is definitely a Craftsman! NOTE: Jake, you play beautifully. I'm pretty much tone deaf so I can't hear the subtle differences but my family can. I clearly noticed the key "action" was 100% better, nice flow, spring action, etc. We'll be seeing Jake bi-annually/annually to maintain our piano from now on. I HIGHLY recommend Jake's Piano Shop.

Now, my daughter has a musical theater degree and is a singer songwriter. I believe that the training she received from Julie was truly "instrumental" in her musical life choices. It did take some time to establish a habit and discipline, but she has mastered the ability to sit down for 30 minutes a day to practice her pieces. Finding Miss Nancy was the best thing I could've done for my child "and me". Ms Nancy superseded my expectations, anyone who knows me, knows that I have very high expectations. My child loves Miss Nancy and tries to impress her by her mastering a song. Even though she only has been playing for five months, she is already playing some really cool songs that she knows and recognizes. I did shop around for a while to find a piano teacher for my child, but saw a lot of the Piano teachers worked with larger stores etc... we travel a lot and I needed a teacher that would be a little flexible with our schedule. I contacted NGHW for the first time recently about fitting new valves into my tuba--not only was Kevin's work *extremely* affordable and of a high quality, but I actually learned quite a bit in the process.
