UPDATE WITH MORE PICTURES: Let me tell you how the Best U Fraud! Convinced me to fly all the way back to Florida from California for a "redue" surgery just for me to get there and Dr. Goldberg told me I needed a tummy tuck (never had children) and my surgery was not fixable. He also stated he never saw my pictures even though I had sent them prior to my visit. I have had several opinions from respectable doctors who said that I do not need a tummy tuck and the Best U Now did a bad lipo job. Owner Shareza Wilkerson knew I had an issue with my stomach not being flat and a botched butt job, after reading this review, numerous phone calls and me sending several videos and pictures at her request (get everything in writing with these scam artists). When I called her on the phone during my second pre-op to tell her they were trying to push a tummy tuck on me, she turned GHETTO yelling at me that I never told her I had a problem with my stomach. (Strange because that's my biggest problem and she read my review and even urged me to take it down). She revealed to me that they were aware of several surgeries that took place during the month of February and March that had horrible results and that my name was already on a list. Shareza also told me that they have doctors on staff that might do a bad surgery job depending on their mood. Like huh? AVOID AVOID AVOID Pay the extra money to have your surgery done right! My whole experience was just negative due to lack of communication. I scheduled my appointment November 21st, 2019 for Lipo on my waist, back, and arms on December 9th, 2019 was my surgery date. I live almost 3,000 miles away so my lab order needed to get sent over I reached out to them on December 4th, 2019 via email and asked if they could send my lab work over no response. I called on December 6th and was told to shoot an email, I shot an email and was told by Marcus (who is extremely nice) he apologized and told me to give a call the next day and somebody would assist me. So I reached out the next day and I was told the lab order was sent electronically to QUEST, quest couldn't pull up my lab order because the license they're working under was suspended. No response (red flag #1) So the weekend goes by, I don't have a response from ANYBODY but I took the chance since my flight was paid for and Airbnb was already paid for and flew out. I was finally able to speak with somebody they told me they can do my bloodwork out there but my surgery would be postponed a day so I was relieved. Fast forward to the day of my surgery, I woke up in the middle of my surgery and felt EVERYTHING. Apparently I was screaming so loud the patient next door could hear me the lady who was assisting Doctor Bradley came up to me & said word for word, "you need to be quiet and stop screaming you're scaring the patient next door" I ended up going back to sleep when the surgery was over I was walking out saying thank you to everybody and the same assistant came up to me and told me, "as a black woman you need to respect yourself more" and the lady who was walking me out told me not to worry about what she was saying because I was under anesthesia and I didn't know what I was talking about. (I was saying "it's my last day being fat bitches while under anesthesia) I came in the next day for my arm garments, they told me they would send me one in the mail because they did not have my size (I never received my arm garments AND I have been ignored since December and gotten nothing but the runaround) Any who, fast forward to December 17th, I reached out because it looked as if I had an infection due to irritation around the incision and severe pains that were shocking through my body I sent a message via Instagram was left on SEEN. I emailed and there was no response. So I reached out continuously to see if I can get a revision on my arms NO RESPONSE. If I could leave a no star I would these people botched my arms had to garment for me so wrapped my arms in a ace bandage. It cut the circulation of my arms were purple. After it heeled my right arm was 4 inches bigger then the left arm. The left arm was left with scars and dents so bad I have to photo shop my pictures. I Wrote a review over a year ago and I assume it was deleted (No Surprise) They stole my money, which I never had due to Dr. Ramirez leaving the practice and I SPECIFICALLY wanted him to perform my surgery. They gave me the run-around and then sent me a cease-and-desist because they said I threatened their office. I never received any money back and I fully paid, they wanted me to try a doctor that I had never heard of before and I was like No thanks I want my money back minus any fees, then they tried to say oh you tested positive for COVID, just anything to keep my money. This company is a rip off!!! They do not like to refund anyone their money back. I traveled to get my procedure done from a different state and had the worst experience I have ever had. First of all they called to cancel my procedure the day before the surgery because it was a storm coming. That is understandable, however, I am pretty sure they knew a storm was coming before the day they called me to cancel. Secondly, they rescheduled my procedure twice because of the weather and because the Dr couldn't come in. The problem is I flew in from another state and I didn't have any more money to be in Florida longer than I was originally told. I emailed and asked for my money back due to that reason and was told my request was denied because of mother nature and I was also told that I signed a contract advising that no refunds are allowed. If I could provide less than one star I would. Due to possible litigation against this practice my review is limited on what I can publicly state at this time. What I will say is that every negative review proved it self to be true from my experience. Everyone plays nice until they have your money. You can do your own research on Dr. Wilkerson and Dr. Ramirez. As the review I saw stated Wilkerson made several promises and did not hold up any of them. Even lied to me to my face and didn't recall many conversations we had. They will reframe from putting anything in writing so they are not held accountable. I will tell you I laid on their table fine and now I've come out with a permanent physical deformity as a result of their careless actions and unwillingness to correct what they've done. Be sure that the Surgeon you request is the one that performs your surgery. Mine was switched at the very last minute without notice and the work was poor by Dr. Ramirez. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Once I decide the extent of litigation I will update the review with full details and every site I can find. You'll also see it on the news just waiting. Alright so let me tell y'all......my first go round was a mess. My second go round same, but I had to stay on them to get my business in order. My first issue is their office staff is mainly young girls about the age of 18-25. The have no office etiquette, they don't know how to answer any questions correctly, and they do not inform you of what you will need before surgery UNTIL THE DAY BEFORE. I had a case manager who had to be only 21, when I was getting my labs for my bbl. My doctor from home wanted to speak with the surgeon to see how credible they were. Not only that when my doctor asked to speak to my case manager, she was not able to answer any medical questions based off the surgeons history. The doc the best u was trying to give me was Dr. Muir and she was NOT board certified. They failed to tell me this, so when I brought it up of course they got quiet. I asked for Dr. Nees who is board certified. My ORIGINAL surgery date was December 26th 2021 I paid my deposit July/August 2021 and I was paid in full by Nov 2021, my case manager called after I booked my flight and EVERYTHING to tell me the surgery center was not open. Now I'm from Cleveland, Ohio.....the medical centers here don't shut down for 3/4 days they come right back to work. I was livid that a simple mistake like that was made. Again the office staff not having any structure! They just do what they want. They truthfully could care less it's like they just come to work for their daily pay and they go home. Beyond unorganized, and I'm all about supporting black businesses. I wasn't able to get my Bbl until February 2022 because my iron was low, I had to resend the labs multiple times until they finally saw the labs were correct. They do not do good work on surgery and once you call to let them know something went wrong they screen your calls and stop answering . Long story short I had a surgery there liposuction not even sure if the doctor who was supposed to do it was actually the one to do it ..-anyways DR MUIR was suppose to do my surgery found out she doesn't carry medical malpractice insurance .. so I'll be going after her assets. The manager who works there was always responsive up until the day he received the last payment then you won't hear anything else from him. I had lipo ended up 11 days later in the ICU with a large abdominal abscess, severe sepsis . Had to stay in the hospital 8 days and now no one wants to answer their phone. I've been calling for 5 days and not one person answered my call. I had my friend call and also get on their website pretending to want surgery to see if anyone reached out and walllaahhh they did!! So it's them screening my calls. I now have 3 additional cuts in my stomach because I had to have 2 ADDITIONAL surgeries in the hospital to fix the disaster the surgery caused. The surgeons at the hospital stated the drains DID NOT cause the infection which the doctor insisted before I ended up in the hospital . I am now going to just leave reviews as I've hired a lawyer to not only go after DR MUIR , but to go after the owner and to also file a claim for patient abandonment. I will be reaching out as well to the BBB, STATE ATTORNEY, I've already contacted the Florida BAR , I will be going directly to the news , anyone who will listen until I shut their business down. Now it's a waiting game since they decided to screen my calls they can now wait and speak to my lawyer. In 2018, I flew to Florida and I paid a cash deposit to hold a procedure date. At that time I was asked how. I would be paying the remaining balance upon my surgery date. I made them aware I would be using my CARE CREDIT CARD. I was told, then they needed to get a copy of my card. Not only did they copy it. My card was billed the remaining balance before I received my procedure. I was not aware at that time it was billed. Until, I started receiving payment request from my card carrier. After flying back and forth to Florida approximately 6-7 times. Paying for travel, hotel, rental car fee's, etc. There has been an issue each time. It was so bad at one point the owner took me into his office apologized for the issues I had been having each time I had caught a flight there for my procedure. He reached in his wallet and handed me $300 back for my flight and rescheduled me for a 3 or 4 time at that point. While sitting in his office he proceeded to say at that time the DEA was after him. He had been going through alot etc. I'm thinking to myself then DEA what is he talking about. But, now I understand. This is a repeated action for your business. You are billing insurance cards and either not getting the services due to problems on there end ( like myself) Or like the NEWS PAPER ARTICLE I READ. I go in for preop the day before surgery pay my balance in full only for me to go in the day of surgery for me to be told I couldn't have the surgery done. I previously wrote a 5 star review for TBUN. It was paid for by Dr. Wilkerson as I'm sure some of these other reviews , especially the 5 star reviews, have been. When I found out that this establishment was "owned" by African Americans, I was excited. Nothing against other like-businesses, but the oppressive history of African Americans in this country, makes me proud to see us seemingly owning and winning. However, were it possible to do this over, knowing now, what I didn't then, I would absolutely avoid this facility at all costs, African American owners, be damned. Dr. Nees did a better than average job with my liposuction and BBL in November of 2020 and the price was more than reasonable. The administrative processes involved, leading up to my surgery were sub-par, unprofessional and displayed high levels of inexperience and incompetence. I don't have the energy nor the desire to chronicle everything that I endured to finally make it to the surgical table. I'll just say as a Believer and a proud supporter of Black owned businesses, I endured for the greater good. At my 3 month follow-up appointment with Dr. Nees, I pointed out what I felt like were small deformities on my abdominal area from the liposuction. One side was bigger than the other and my stomach was not as flat as I had expected it to be. Dr. Nees acknowledged the deformities and stated that he could fix them with more liposuction but I might want to consider a tummy tuck if I wanted more of a guarantee that my abdominal area would be flatter. After my appointment with him I spoke with Marsha as I definitely wanted to see what this revision would cost me and I was prepared to pay a deposit and lock in a date for the revision. Marsha informed me that I would not have to pay for additional liposuction if I wanted the revision, however I would have to pay $2500 for the anesthesia as that could in no way be included in the revision procedure. Marsha went on to further explain that I would likely do better with a tummy tuck as it would provide me would the results that I thought I was getting with the first surgery. I asked if she could give me a quote for the tummy tuck and she responded by getting on her phone and contacting Dr. Wilkerson. After speaking with him she informed me the cost for the procedure (tummy tuck) was normally $7500 but Dr. Wilkerson had quoted me a price of $4500. I thought this was still too much for a revision and I asked to speak with Dr. Wilkerson directly. He was not available on that day so I made arrangements via Marsha to speak with him later and I gave her a $250 deposit via credit card to hold the surgical date we had discussed. When I finally spoke with Dr. Wilkerson and he heard my concerns he agreed to take an additional $500 off the cost of the tummy tuck if I would write a 5 star review on this platform. I agreed and the cost was adjusted accordingly. Two days before the revision procedure. My PCP at the VA had noted abnormalities in my bloodwork which were not life threatening but did elevate the category of risk related to my outcome. When discussing these issues with the surgeon to determine if I could be cleared for revision, more pictures of my body were requested. The pictures provided were then sent to Dr. Nees. I was then told that while he would indeed do the surgery, I would need an additional $2500 because I required a full tummy tuck and not the procedure which I had been quoted, negotiated and had subsequently paid for. It was right to hit me with a $2500 bill 2 days before surgery or else the surgery would be called off. Later I explained to Dr. Wilkerson that I did not have the resources to continue on, with such short notice. Additionally, I explained the expenditures I had already incurred as a result of this planned revision procedure. I had did everything they told me to do. Made every appointment. Took time from my job to frequent the facility when no one would answer the phones and paid in full, the quote they had given me. I told him that I should not be penalized $1000 for their error regarding the procedure needed and he agreed. He gave me a fist-bump (due to COVID), looked me in my eyes and PROMISED to refund all of my money in at least a month's time. Almost six weeks later (after having to repeatedly contact them), I was contacted by TBUN Compliance Department(Mrs. Wilkerson), via email and offered a settlement which would give them $1000 (deposit) of my money after I was promised all of my money back by her husband. I responded back to her via email, that this was not what was promised to me. The reply was that she would get back to me, which she did two weeks later (after more repeated inquiries about the status of my refund), with the same offer. Of course by now my pride in doing business with African American businesses has been greatly deflated. This entire process has drained me mentally and spiritually. They botched my surgery and no one seems to care! I got the 360 liposuction including full back , a waistline reduction and fat transfer. When I went in initially on the day of my surgery I was prepped and they sat me in a cold room in a paper gown for over three hours and never checked on me, only to come to say they scheduled to many surgeries that day and I would have to be rescheduled. Bad sign right? After several upset phone calls and trying to schedule me with another physician they put me back on the schedule several days later. They did not provide me with the additional garment they say is included post surgery either. I did everything they told me to do, I walked everyday for a half hour, drank a gallon of water a day, wore my post surgery garment 24 hours a day except to shower for 4 months, switched to 12 hours a day after month 4 and wore my garment for a total of six months. Even now almost a year later I look down at my stomach and you can visibly see the pockets of fat that were not suctioned, which leaves ripples on my abdomen. I can't even wear a swimsuit it looks so bad. When I told them this several times while under going the 11 post survey messages at their facility, they kept saying I was not fully healed give it time. I mentioned it to the so call "nurse" that see patients during my 3 month post op appointment and she suggested that I get a tummy tuck. Me! Someone who never had kids with a 28 BMI. It wasn't extra skin it was fat, but again my concerns went unanswered. You never see a doctor at this place, not when you get your initial consultation, not post surgery not when you complain. You only see your doctor before you enter the surgery room. It's always the office staff who try to assist but they are not doctors. Now I have to find an actual reputable facility in hopes that they can fix what BOTCHED U NOW ruined. I will never recommend this place to anyone. If I could give 10 stars I would. I had liposuction done on 7/6 and I was a little apprehensive at first but I've had the best overall experience and couldn't imagine going elsewhere. This was my first cosmetic surgery so I really didn't know what I was getting myself into so I naturally had a lot of questions that I needed answered and Lauren my consultant was very professional, sweet and helpful. She always followed up and followed through. Between her and Audrey they kept me in the loop and stayed on top of things. The whole office staff was amazing. Vera the RN on staff, she was so nice and down to earth (honestly they all were) she and Dr. Muir made me feel like I was in good hands and with family. Listen I absolutely love Dr.Muir she was so honest with me upfront and made sure I had realistic expectations. The 360 lounge staff Dash, Doris and Angelo made me feel very comfortable despite the amount of pain I was in. They were and are so patient with me. I have attempted to have service on two different occasions at this location. the staff is pleasant the doctor that I did see made me aware of what to expect the date of the procedure and post-op. She was great! It's sad to say the same reason I did not have service the first time is also the reason I did not have service the second time., Dishonesty . if I could rate the staff and facility separately , I will give them a five But since I cannot i rate them two . . I just left this facility after sitting there for three hours after my scheduled 3:30PM preop appointment to be informed that the doctor was not going to be able to proceed with my procedure on Monday the 23rd and that they were asking me to cancel and re-schedule the surgery to two weeks later. I am a out-of-state patient who flew from Colorado to Florida to specifically see Dr.Ramierez who comes highly recommended! The staff did nothing to accommodate me in the finances that I had to put into getting to the facility as I am a out-of-state patient. Nor were they accommodating to the time I wasted sitting in the lobby area as well as to the point where they had their nurse practitioner come in to the pre-op room and go forward with the steps in order to receive my surgery. None of the immediate staff let the other staff know that the surgery was not going to be happening so when the nurse had to come back in with the surgical coordinator with egg on her face having to inform us that it was not going to be happening; after telling me that the surgeon was going to come into the room to take a look to clear me for surgery then have somebody tell me he was going to be leaving out of town for personal issues. I don't appreciate how the staff handled the situation and how there was no resolution to the problem that was caused by them. They were not accommodating to the fact the money I had given to them already and then they proceeded to CHARGE my card for the remaining balance of the surgery THAT NEVER HAPPENED!!!! I do not recommend this place at all! The minute they have your money all patient consideration and patient focus goes out the door! They are fraudulent people, and all they care about is the money! Botched Surgery, misleading and deceitful information, non responsive + This is by far the most disrespectful any organization could treat anyone. I've been patient and understanding but enough is enough. I paid $9500 for the mommy make over. Surgery date was on 8/21/21. Not only did I find out the Dr. changed on the day of surgery the entire procedure was not performed after five hours spent on my breast. I understood I would need to wait until I'm healed from the breast lift before the remaining procedure could be scheduled. I never healed going on two months, have open wounds and was told that this was a result of bad suture or the Dr. stitched the sutures too tight which caused them to burst. I have a an open wound under my right breast, my nipple and areola area looks busted. Dr. Muir determined on 9/27/21 I needed wound therapy for three weeks to help promote healing. Best U initially scheduled a home health care nurse for three weeks which started 10/8 for the Wound Vac Therapy. I am currently on Wound Vac Therapy with a machine 24/7 attached. To add insult to injury I received an invoice to my home advising I may be financially responsible for the machine at the rate of $44 per day. On 10/13 Best U advised me that the therapy would be done in their office. I agreed with the home health nurse to allow Best U to video her technique with the therapy and was advised that I would be contacted for my next appointment. No appointment was set my calls are not being returned by Josie (office manager) or Dr. Muir. No one in the office seems to know what's going on. This is not the first time I've been given the run around by this office. My wounds have not been cleaned since the last day for the nurse on 10/15. Currently scheduling appt. with my primary Dr., seeking a second opinion and/or legal advice if no resolution. This is becoming a serious health issue for me. I'm so unhappy with the results and lack of urgency with these people and will never go or recommend anyone here. I want all my money refunded! read more

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!! BEWARE....The level of professionalism is an absolute disgrace. Last year, I had a consultation done with my surgical coordinator who was absolutely amazing to be honest. At the time, I was extremely excited to have my procedure done at The Best U Now. After my consult I left a $1,000.00 deposit. My first surgical appointment was scheduled with Dr. Ramirez back in 2020 of last year, only to find out months later that he left and went somewhere else FINE!! After diligently reviewing the other doctors before and afters, I rescheduled with Dr. Nees for August 16, 2021 with high recommendations from my surgical coordinator. A few weeks or less before my surgery. I receive an email stating that Dr. Nees is out of the country, and asked if I would like to see another surgeon. I reviewed the other surgeons work and I was not impressed, so I informed the staff that I would like to stay with Dr. Nees. As I was speaking with the receptionist via phone she explained to me that his first available appointment would not be until the end of October. Now let's consider the fact that I had taken time off of work to have surgical procedure done plus post-op appointments. So, I explained to the receptionist that those dates were not going to work for me, and asked if there is anything earlier and she said no. Then, I asked to speak with a manger and demanded a refund for my deposit and that I would like to go somewhere else where I could have procedure done sooner. She informed me that I needed to contact the Best U Now compliance team for a review, so I did just that. A few hours later they denied my request, I demanded to speak with a manger. After speaking with a manger she told me that she can get me an earlier surgery date for September 9th with Dr. Nees. Gladly I said great! I then proceed to schedule a consultation with Dr. Nees and we set a date for August 23, 2021 at 9am. Mind you I live about an hour north only to get there to be told that Dr. Nees is not here and asked if I want to see another surgeon. I replied NO..I became extremely frustrated and asked to speak with a manger and that I would like to cancel my appointment and get me deposit back. The mangers come in the office and said to me NO you can not get your deposit back and if you don't leave we will call the police and she did just that!! After them canceling my appointment and me asking for my deposit they call the cops!!!!!! PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!! THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOU YOUR MONEY BACK!!!!!!!!!! read more
