Response I received from "Aaron" after expressing my discomfort at my body weight being commented on.

They advertise a comfortable environment, was true up until one employee suggested the reason my flats were so frequent was due to my weight. Possible? Yeah, maybe. Reasonable to bring up to a paying customer trying to remedy that with said purchase? Not really. I still give them stars for what services were provided to me before this experience but couldn't recommend them now in good faith. Edit: I saved this in my drafts as I reached out privately to the company to maybe have a conversation or at least acknowledgement that this wasn't chill. I received a reply that is borderline sarcastic and at most pretty disrespectful. I don't know this man, I can't tell where he's coming from but maybe this vacation will do you some good?

Your local Surly dealer! If you know the bike brand Surly, you know they're renowned for quality, but what I like is the little things. Like the Surly Tuggnut. It's a chain tensioner used so you can really power down on the pedals without pulling the sprocket side of the axel forward. Not a problem most people have, but I do. In any case the coolest part of the Tuggnut is its integral bottle opener. As a beer loving cyclist, I feel the need to outfit my bike with a bottle opener. The reason I mentioned the Tuggnut is because twice, when I wanted one right now, they had it in stock! And that's impressive in my book. They build wheels too!

Sweet little shop with some cool employees. Very helpful and understanding even during this covid-19 era. They have the shop still open with some lessen hours. And only a few people inside store at a time. But they do have alot of bikes locked up out front to give you some ideas if you got to wait a minute. We called before hand to make sure they were open and able to get some kids bikes. Yes and yes.. We went to a few other local stores who were sold out and just no time to put bikes apart do to so.many repairs customers bikes. Since bikes are now being used more than one would think, but that's why we are here. They have a good amount of bikes and set up ones to see. Luckily when we showed up we got the last 2 that were ready. They were putting them together just as fast as they were being sold. And they had shipments coming in as we waited for the paperwork to be done. And yes there ended up being 3 other families coming in to buy bikes for the kids and would have to wait for new ones that just came in to be built. They have plenty of accessories for the bikes from bottles, holders, bells, seats, air pumps etc. They got all your basic needs to accessorize your ride. So go one and pimp it out lol. You do get a 90 day(?) Break in period where you can bring it back to get things tightened up after the break in period. And also a year warranty on stuff... I didn't quiet here him well but I can easily call and ask soon.

My boyfriend has had a growing love for fixies in the past couple years, and along the way I got sucked in too. Bicycle Business seems to be the best shop we have come across so far (and we have been to a lot....) with the friendliest employees and widest selection. I don't know much about putting a fixie together or about all of the parts of a fixie, but I've learned enough along the way to notice that they have a lot to offer here. Whenever we need something, this is the go-to shop. Today I was able to have my tires pumped for free...finally getting my bike out of the garage! I also bought a bike light, in pink of course, and it was affordable - $15. The employees are helpful here, but they're also not pushy, which I like. I'm sure I'll be back soon!

The customer service is so good I felt the need to finally make a Yelp account just to leave them a review! As a new rider with a million questions, Arron and his team have been super patient and generous with their knowledge! From purchasing my first bike, servicing, upgrading wheels and learning about trails to ride, the team has always provided 5 star service. I live in Folsom and will still always make the drive to Land Park for all of my future cycling needs.

They have stairs and a ramp at the entrance, along with automatic doors. You can walk around the city while you're waiting for your bike. There's several cafes and restaurants within 5-10 minute walking distance. You could visit the State Capitol. Forewarning: You're going to pay, at minimum, $600 for an adult bike. Even a kid's bike starts at $350... If you need extra parts and accessories, I would recommend you buy them off of Amazon or somewhere cheaper. To give you an example: a tire pump here is over $100.

During my lunch, I've been taking my bike to various bike shops around the midtown Sacramento area to browse around and ask general cycling questions or assistance with my bike if I feel like something doesn't feel right. Overall, my experience with various shops have been just okay. I would get the feeling that because I do not have an expensive bike, that I'm looked at differently. However, with Pacos, the staff here are EXTREMELY friendly and helpful. I brought my bike in with some concerns regarding my gears shifting, and Pancho took my bike onto the rack to inspect it. I was prepared to be given a diagnosis and perhaps a quote to see how much they would charge if I had them fix/adjust it for me. Instead, Pancho just took it upon himself to make these micro adjustments himself and even identified that my front derailleur was crooked and my front wheel was loose. Again, Pancho just made those adjustments himself to make sure everything was properly before I left the store. On top of that, I was not charged a dime. Totally unexpected, but highly appreciated! Fast forward to my second time coming to this shop, I was greeted by different staff. Yet, it was still the same high, friendly energy as the last time. Ayrton was there to assist and help me identify and issue I was having with my brakes. The way he spoke to me and went above and beyond to find answers he himself didn't know was much appreciated. Ayrton is a very friendly and outgoing guy and made sure I was taken care of before I left. The culture and energy of the staff here have been a fantastic experience and I highly recommend any cyclist to visit this store! Their inventory was impressive, the store is spacious and clean, and if I ever need cycling services, I am definitely coming back.

I'm in my 20s now and know absolutely zilch about bikes. My chain snapped and I brought it into the bike kitchen. We evaluated whether or not my chain was salvageable, and decided we should take a few links from a chain in the back, and add it to mine. It was only $3, and from there he taught me everything about repairing a chain. He was so nice and helpful, I used the tools and he kept watch to make sure I was doing it right. Sometimes that can be stressful, but he made sure it was a fun environment and we laughed almost the whole time. I could not recommend this place more. For them, its really just about the bikes. It felt amazing to fix it myself, and learn something about my bicycle. The volunteer also helped inspect my bike to make sure nothing else needed fixing. He explained it like, "you already paid the shop fee, lets see what else we can do". I hope I learn enough to volunteer here one day. Truly a 10/10 experience.

It's been a long time since I have ridden a bike, and getting back into the swing of things was quite a challenge for me. I just recently retired from my job and found myself with more leisure time to spend with myself and to even start getting into an exercising regimen. Since my BF started his own fitness program to lose weight and improve his health, I decided to join in a little at a time. That's when we brought out all the old bicycles and determine what we were going to commit to. During this time we found out maintenance was needed before we could comfortably get started. I looked up bike shops on Yelp and found The Greenhaven Bike Shop not too far from where we lived. While we were there, Joe K fell in love with one of their Trek models on display and for sale. He ended up making the purchase. He also got his racing bike repaired at the same time. We spent some educational time with the staff members who were extremely nice and patient with us even through a probable painstaking amount of question and answer sessions. They really know their stuff! Their fees are very reasonable too! Joe and I agreed that this shop will be our number one place to go for continued bike maintenance.

I went in to get my bike tuned up and tires changed because it was due time. I rode my bike once a week, love my bike, generally no issues at all. The initial quote was $225 for tune up and new tires change (me bringing the tires.) When Damien assessed the bike (the owner), he said there were some things wrong with my brakes and he wanted to bleed them and fix the brake wiring. I had no issues with my brakes whatsoever but he seemed honest at the time, so I agreed. The new quote was for $420 for fixing brakes, tune up, and new tires. Meanwhile my bike is in the shop 1 week now. $420 was very expensive to me, but I just went with his opinion. Fast forward, this guy Damien calls me again and says he found issues with my wheel and needs to redo some of the hardware on the rims, he literally over the phone told me it might be $30 more. I say fine whatever. Damien calls me to tell me the bike is done, this is two weeks now. And I go to pick it up. When I pick it up the bike was $610!!!!! This was absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. I argue with him because he never ever told me the price would be in the $600 range! I would have never agreed to that. I have to argue with him a little and he only takes the total down to $570! This bike shop is completely unprofessional. At what point would I approve $200 worth of fixing on rims? For my total to go from $420 to $610. Damien is completely dishonest, and never told me the costs and added so many unapproved costs. Why would I pay you $40 to clean my bike, I never asked you to do that yet you charged me for that! I will never bring my bike again to this place. The owner is a crook, the receipt does not lie!
