The servers were all working at full speed, serving and meeting the requests of all the patrons. Our server, MASON, had just been triple seated when we arrived, so it took a bit of time for him to greet us, but he was extremely pleasant and promptly brought our cocktails and meals. He even took the time to socialize with us briefly at the end of our meal because he went to a local school that we all knew. We appreciated his personable service, even though he was very busy. I want to express a shout out to the KITCHEN STAFF. They were swamped with many orders and the grill and kitchen were HOT! Also, I appreciated the wheel man who was able to keep all the orders coordinated. Management, at the end of the night, these cooks need a beer (or two) as they navigated an extremely hot kitchen and probably hundreds of orders. Red Door is a not to be missed Monday night. I don't really care for remoulade sauce so I'd have removed it had I known it came with the dish. It really overpowered the goat cheese taste in the grits. The tomatoes were very al dente and I would have preferred them cooked a bit more. The dish was still good but my least favorite and I would normally love anything with those ingredients and fried green tomatoes are a favorite so the remoulade (or whatever it was) sauce was a real problem for me. I would definitely get them again without the sauce because they are great otherwise. But that sauce just overpowers every other flavor! I got the chicken tender dinner and others in my party got the bone in fried chicken. Everyone liked their chicken. The tenders were a big size. 4 of them but I hit 2 meals out of them. Everyone liked the Parmesan rosemary potatoes. I really liked the bacon green beans. The only side we weren't impressed with was the Mac and cheese unfortunately. The cheese was not good. We got coffees and a chai. All of them were very good. A bit pricey for the amount you get though. Even with the smaller complaints, I'd still give th a 5 because of the outstanding service and the dishes were overall very good and large portions. The pork chop was very thick and large yet was very flavorful and tender. The pork chop came with mashed potatoes and seasoned vegetables. However, in looking over the menu I saw they had a variety of sides. I asked if I could change me sides, which they were more than glad to do. I got the carrots and the cornbread. The carrots were delicious and there was a lot of them. The cornbread tasted good but was a little dry. Next time I would stay with the carrots but try something else. As I said the pork chop was very big and I took about half of it home. When I placed my order the waiter asked if I wanted to order a second pork chop, which I passed on. However, next time I may take him up on the offer and have an additional one to take home. All around I give it 5 stars. Also, we asked about desert. There was no desert menu nor a desert tray to help us make a decision. The waiter did rattle off the desert options, however this was kind of busy to follow. A desert menu or try would certainly go a lot further, as far as we are concerned. In summary, the food was outstanding, the service was very good and the atmosphere was pleasant.
