Just moved to Austin and I don't yet have a washer and dryer so came to The Big Clean Laundromat to wash some clothes. I didn't have enough change but the employee LL was kind enough to break a $50 for me. I really appreciated that kindness. This facility is really clean--probably the cleanest, least humid laundromats I've ever been to! Lots of machines that accept credit cards, coins, or membership cards.

I googled which laundromats I'm Austin would be the best for large bedding and this place came up. It's super clean, there are tons of washers and dryers available and they work great! It's also not super expensive and they offer different options to pay like by card, Apple Pay, or quarters. There's a vending machine with washing supplies if you forgot yours or don't have any detergent and if you're interested, they have a wash and fold service too. The staff was all friendly although my interaction was minimal.

I googled laundry mats for at least 30 minutes to decide which one I wanted to spend hours at. I had an overwhelming amount to do. This laundry mat was VERY clean and spacious. The bathrooms were clean as well. They had free coffee and WiFi. One of the machines washed 10 loads at once! The machines also take card which was more convenient. It really made my experience so much easier and more comfortable. The two girls that were working were also very nice. 5 stars all around, without a doubt. Highly recommend.

Believe me when I say that this by far the best laundromat I've ever been to. I've been to a few different laundromats in the past several years and none were half as clean and efficient as this establishment. It is very spacious and tidy, and the staff was friendly and willing to help. They have an open waiting area with TV and plenty of chairs and tables with charging stations. Aside from a few seniors here on a Tuesday morning, it's not crowded like most places. They even have free coffee prepared! The machines accept payment in card, quarters and Apple Pay. The price point is moderately higher compared to the ones I've been to but for the sake of the good customer service and quality experience, it's a price I'm willing to pay. I generally HATE going to laundromats- the ones I've been to are super crowded, noisy and dirty. Those places usually don't have air conditioning and parking lots are jammed packed. Even waiting on my laundry is an unpleasant experience. I would have fight for a spot among the the few worn out benches, while keeping a close eye on my laundry cart because they easily get snatched. I highly recommend this place if you prefer a comfortable experience. I was practically limping my lifeless body here only to feel like a kid in a candy store from the moment I walked in.

They seem to be tweaking their hours a lot from what's on their website & brochure. Whatevs. You may want to call.

I haven't used a laundromat in about thirty years or so, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect from here. The only stuff I took besides clothes & detergent was a prepaid debit card, a novel, and a concealed Glock 36. Okay, I'm actually joking. I didn't bring a novel. But this place was exactly what it says it is - a big clean laundromat. There were six normal sized top-loaders for $2.25, and dozens & dozens of larger front-loaders that cost $3.75-6.75, depending on their size. And you can swipe your card in these too. I didn't use the wall of dryers, but I'm pretty sure they were around 50-cents for every eight minutes. I couldn't get their WiFi to connect, so I just went to the Starbucks next door. There's also a Taco Bell, McDonald's, and Dunking Donuts in this same complex. Cool. And apparently there are three Big Clean Laundromats in & around Austin; if the other two are like this one, you can pretty much wash your laundry problems away.

Use your debit card, credit card or ApplePay! #TheBigClean #Austin

I haven't been to a laundromat in years. I've been in Texas to support Hurricane Harvey Relief efforts. Well, it was time to do a bit of laundry (note to self: bring more than six pair of boxers whenever visiting Texas) This experience at The Big Clean - Austin was awesome! Great space, clean equipment, new technology, easy parking - LOVED IT!

washers don't spin long enough so your clothes are wet and then into the dryer that is not drying enough so you have to use more quarters.

They've got rows with different sizes of washer and the price varies based on size, the lowest being around 4.25 for 25min cycle. You can get quarters from a machine at the front that takes 1s, 5s, 10s, and 20s. *Fair warning, it did eat a 5 of mine at one point and there wasn't really anything I could do. You can also purchase dollar tokens with a credit card, but keep in mind that many of the machines are not full dollar amounts. There was a drink vending machine and a snack one, the snack one also had some mini detergent bottles and clear plastic laundry bags. I didn't try the ATM but there was one. The soda machine offered tap but tap pay was not working so I had to use dollar bills. The dryers were honestly the best part, they're huge and 25 cents gets you 5 minutes, and I found I could dry what I needed within 20 minutes. Overall, a good place to go if it's what you need to do.

Not a fan. I recently moved to Austin from San Antonio and have been trying to find a new place to…read moredo laundry. Seems like alot of places out here have the option to pay with your debit card or through an app which I loved but this is the second laundry (previous was a different business) I've visited where this was an option and once again there was a sign that said the option to pay with card wasn't available. But this location at least had a ATM so I got some money and just said screw it because I needed to do my laundry and didn't feel like driving and driving around. Put in $20 in the change machine because the ATM had a minimum of $20. I used the $7 washer and realized after putting in the quarters I had about $3 left. Now I'm not good at math but to have $3 left after only using $7 in change. Yeahhh I was missing my money so I put a complaint via email and the Texas area manager got back to me asking me to reply back with a date and time of when to meet one of the managers at the laundry so I can get reimbursed. I told them 8am the following day. So I showed up with laundry because I ok I'll just use the reimbursement to do some more laundry. Got there and walked inside, there was only one person doing laundry and no one else. Waited in my car in front of the store and. Emailed the manager of who suppose to meet but that I was still waiting there at 8:19.. waited till 9am and never got a response back. No one else was in the laundry. They basically wasted my time and the machine stole my money. Horrible first experience

Last load is at 8:30 PM every day. They've got single, double, triple, four, six, and ten load washers. The ten load machines are the best value, but there are only two of them, so plan for that. They also have two big dryers, but every dryer comes with a fee schedule that feels like an elementary school word problem. One dollar gets you four minutes to start, then twenty five cents for each additional two minutes. If you want about thirty minutes, you're looking at roughly $4.25. The smaller dryers $.25 for every 2 minutes, so $3.75 for thirty minutes. Getting them started can be a little finicky. (Ask for assistance) Now for the good news. The staff is genuinely kind, and the whole place is spotless. That alone makes the chore a lot less painful. The bathrooms are clean, no code required, and clearly taken care of. I'm pretty sure they offer wash and fold since the employees were constantly folding, wiping machines, or sweeping. The machines that are working run well, and the ones that are down are clearly marked. There's plenty of seating and rolling baskets to help you haul everything around. The only real drawback is the parking. The shopping center is small and the parking lot is even smaller. If you have mobility challenges, small kids, or a ton of laundry, getting a spot might be a pain. They do have WiFi, which is great because cell service in the building is weak. I can see this place turning into a zoo during peak hours, so timing matters. Overall, if I need a laundromat again, I'll be back.

As I remember from college days laundromats were usually ugly, grimy, and felt vulnerable. When I went into Big Clean I was shocked. The place was bright. clean had a/c running. There are four Spinzone locations-- three being in Austin, one in Round Rock-- and out of the three in Austin, this one feels the safest. Spinzone has created an online interface that can be assessed via mobile. Though convenient, there are several kinks with the app that needs improvement. A few flaws include: not being able to reload funds to your account, the app constantly crashing and requesting you to log in, and the difficulty navigating between pages. If you're using the mobile app, you can choose the machine that best suits your laundry needs. For washers, they offer 20, 30, 40, 60, and 80-pound capacity options. For dryers, you can select from 30, 45, and 70-pound capacity machines. The washers can run pretty pricey. For an 80 lb load, I paid almost $14 on a regular wash setting. However, the dryers are fairly affordable. For a 70-pound load, it only cost around $4. The process is pretty straightforward: 1) find the washer &/or dryer that fits your clothes 2) load them and lock the door 3) follow the prompts on the reader 4) add your detergent 5) adjust the wash/dry settings 6) hit start. My heavy load washed in just 20 minutes, and drying took no more than 45 minutes! Unfortunately, if you have a heavy load, the dryer door may not stay closed... we found our dryer to be open and our clothes spilling out when we returned. Note: these are commercial dryers, so the heat can get really intense and may melt certain fabrics. Unfortunately, my mattress cover didn't make it...
