Water leaked into our clothes cabinet
    Palak B.

https://photos.app.goo.gl/bUde2Veqosoqw74x7 because pictures won't do the justice.. please have a look at the videos in the link above. Look for yourself the worst nightmare we had while being there. How it began: after moving in , within 10 days, they began heavy renovation work on the apartment on top of ours. They would start every morning with heavy hammering.. It was so severe , that the entire walls and the jars in kitchen cabinets would shake up.. ‼even the light fr the ceiling fell on my head when I was working in kitchen . ‼when asked to solve the problem they shamelessly asked us to move in to another apartment if we are so much bothered. As if it is kid's game to move with family of four.but never stopped or paused their renovation in that upstair apartment. It had been not even a week after that, the renovation upstairs caused heavy leakage from that bathroom, seeping and leaking all the dirty toilet water into our main bedroom cabinet.. all over our clothing and stuff.. made me remove everything immediately only in a few days of my arranging as we had just freshly moved in . Immediately after the leakage the ceiling in bathroom had become so damp that it started to develop again and again heavy mold in the master room bathroom. Mold problems started causing range of other health issues like sinus and nose bleed. Heaters never worked. The maintenance guy would fake that he fixed those crappy old heaters. I remember in the extreme bad cold of January, all of us literally shivering like dying all through the night. As in one video you can hear my kid sick coughing badly .. there was no peace to let anyone rest as it was all extremely disturbing, heart pounding, deafening loud noise caused by heavy machinery work going on upstairs, while me and my two kids.. all of us were suffering with severe Covid. That's not all of my story. And I can't even explain all my agony typing here. Where is the sense of decision making managers there? who never cared of their clients choose to be so money minded .. all the money used to decorate only the outside area and maintenance office to look all impressive to lure people. What can people at maintenance office do?Nothing.. but try to talk politely as they don't want to lose their job. They are just the puppet employees. After we recovered we decided to move out as quickly as possible even if we had to break our one year lease. Clearly the apartments are not even worth 1500$/ month ..doesn't matter if apartments are good enough or not.. but the crap and torture you may have to deal with while being there.

We have been living at Biltmore for more than a year now and I must say that we have been thoroughly impressed from day 1. Whenever we report any minor issue, it gets resolved in a couple of hours and we always get amazed by the responsiveness of the management team. I would like to especially highlight Wendy in the leasing office as she is a real pleasure to work with and is incredibly helpful. Chris, Johnathan and rest of the team is also very cooperative. Key Highlights: 1. Biltmore staff is awesome 2. Fast response to maintenance needs 3. Newly built fitness center, pool and huge clubhouse 4. Beautifully designed landscape area 5. Spacious and well-maintained apartments with lockers 6. Proximity to great schools 7. Walking distance to Cupertino Library 8. Children playing area 9. BBQ / picnic area 11. Car garage with every apartment 12. What else are you looking for? :) The Biltmore team organizes a number of events and get together parties for all residents. So, it's a small close knit community. Overall, we have absolutely loved our stay here in this wonderful neighborhood. This is a complete 5!

I wish I could write a better review but I'm so disappointed by what was previously a great place to rent. The buildings are quite dated and the updates that have been made are of the cheapest quality. The old carpeting in the buildings was replaced last year...we all thought what had been placed was the liner and the installation people would be returning to lay the actual carpet. No...the carpet is just that thin and it causes sound to reverberate through the halls. The vinyl flooring in some units is cheap quality and poorly installed, so that it's constantly lifting. They continue to permit cigarette smoking on patios and balconies, and public areas around the site, which means there's smoke coming in through the windows, patio/balcony doors, and vents, regardless of whether you smoke. The complex spent three years and a lot of money to update the property, with the pool and hot tub, bbq area, and clubhouse were all unavailable during this time. The big reveal after all the work reflected that the only thing changed for residents was a nicer bbq area. The pool and hot tub, and all the chaises, tables, and umbrellas are the same that have been there since my initial residency. The clubhouse, which is only open during the management's working hours (unless reserved for a private event), is gorgeous but the main change is a remodel of the office space. The management and facilities staff are the only people who use the "clubhouse," and in great part due to the hours it's accessible as well as the fact that whenever someone goes in there, it feels as if you're interrupting the office staff having their breaks, hanging out and snacking, etc. All the parking spots were redesignated this past year as "assigned" spots, in a clear attempt to increase income for the management company. Residents must pay an additional fee monthly to reserve a spot, covered or not, and there are virtually no unassigned spots for additional resident cars or guests. The office staff regularly "patrol" the parking area for parkers who aren't "registered" and when discovering someone, send an email blast to the entire community calling out the car's identifying details and threatening to have the vehicle towed within a certain number of minutes if it's not moved. During weekends, the Springwood staff tend to park in the spots reserved for "new residents." Management sends email frequently admonishing residents that they've "been told" they cannot have anything on their balconies/patios, hallways, lobbies, etc. as if the residents are young children. I don't like when people break rules meant to ensure people's enjoyment of their rented home either, but there's a way to do this respectfully and a way to make people feel bad. When there are problems with the laundry room machines, the office staff will not assist. The response is that they haven't been trained on how to use the equipment or its software and residents have to contact the vendor (which never seems to result in a response). A dryer has been non-functional for months but despite numerous requests, the management staff have done nothing to ensure that it's repaired or replaced. With only 4 washers and 4 dryers per building, having one out of order creates a difficult situation for residents trying to do their laundry. On the plus side, the maintenance staff are without exception friendly and responsive. The apartments are in a great location and the people living there are generally quite nice, but there are few amenities and the management staff sometimes make residents feel like interlopers.

My workplace is…read moreclose-by, and sometimes after lunch we walk through the outside ring parking to reach Middlefield and return to the office. Today, two of us were walking through chatting, and a Meadows property manager/worker yelled at us from across the parking lot, maybe 40 yards away, asking who we were. Thinking he had mental issues or a salesman, we kept walking. He then approached and harassed us, screaming about how we were trespassing, continuing verbal abuse and harassment and followed us until we left the property. We talked quietly, did not approach anyone, hang door tags, play music, or toss trash. We didn't go into the center apartment area. We're both computer professionals. This employee could have gotten on his golf cart and quietly told us sorry we cannot walk thru his parking lot and to kindly exit the premises. Instead, he chose to yell threateningly across a parking lot and come after us with verbal abuse. A good way to judge apartment management is how they treat visitors. Because as residents, you're going to get more of that - or worse. Stay away from this complex.

Meadows is very safe and it's also in a good location - it is right off of Central expressway and it's close to 237 and 101. Apartment was spacious as well. I also thought the gym was great and bigger than a lot of other apartment gyms so amenities as good here. There is a community pool as well. The management company was very responsive with service requests. We had an issue where the central AC was spewing out dead bugs so the maintenance team quickly came in and gave us a new AC. Meadows also hosts some events every couple months (coffee station, Easter egg hunt, food trucks, etc.) which made the apartment complex feel more like a community. One of the drawbacks about this complex is the lack of natural light in the some of the apartments. Because of all the tall redwood trees and the direction of our apartment, we didn't get much light. For the most part, we had our lamps turned on all the time. And because of the trees, leaves would fall into our balcony so we had to frequently clean that up. We decided to leave once the lease was up as we found a place with more natural light closer to our offices and meadows was going to increase the rent by $250 a month. If it wasn't for the light situation, probably would have continued to stay here. Overall I enjoyed living here, and if you are ok with less natural light or you are able to get an apartment facing the right direction, then I recommend!

I think the apartment layout is really nice and we like the style- certainly felt like home and was home to us. We have so many treasured memories there. We were having a difficult time getting married during the pandemic, and finally the city allowed us to get married with the ceremony over Zoom; so we were married right inside of the apartment. Our daughter was also born (don't worry not inside of the apartment like the marriage haha there's a hospital down Homestead) and this was her first home too. She was walking around just before we left and our apartment had some rooms with carpet that was safe for her to practice on. Location is super good. Safeway across the street as well as Starbucks and Chipotle, which were things we enjoyed walking to. Very convenient. We never tried playing around Franco's park, but that's also across the street. Inside of the apartment common area there's a nice big green lawn and was great for our little girl to start practicing on, and she loved looking around and seeing all the green and lots of leaves and flowers around. I'll try to post some pictures later. Swimming pool is super nice even if you're not swimming there's lots of sitting areas and this was a great way to have friends visit since were trying to minimize the risk of COVID for our daughter. There's also a small hot tub. I liked the gym and it had good air flow; it's rarely crowded or at least never at the times I visited (a lot of times nobody but myself, and if someone else did join I'd just put on my ask and take it easy), and there's a TV inside so if I'm doing something like the treadmill I've got something to watch. I would say sound is good / quietness is good never had issues. Neighbors were good. Sometimes downstairs neighbors though you can definitely hear if they slam the door or window, but not much apartment staff can do about that and it was not a frequent issue for us. There's no free lunch: The area is expensive. The university I'm attending is far from Cupertino. We decided it made sense for us to move; otherwise: we would have really liked to stay and would recommend this place to friends and family. Maybe we will return after we're done with school :) really great place and we will miss it.
