Thinking of using The Bimmer shop? Do yourself a favor and look elseware. Had I seen there review, I would not have come here. No wonder they are not a BBB accredited shop .Brought my wife's 2011 X-3 in to investigate a Leak in A/C system. After bringing it in multiple times and changing out the A/C Compressor then an A/C filter/dryer . Car was in there shop for over a week each time. Third time after having it an additional week and a half they added Freon and said it was a leaking A/C schrader . It sounded like a B. S. Excuse but I went with it . A week and a half later A/C blowing warm ( car sat in my driveway while I was away for that time). Tired of the B.S. and the run around I took it to the BMW dealer were they found an leaking evaporator. Why couldn't the bimmer shop find it. I am a class B Certified Mechanic after talking to Scott I realized he charges double the man hour rate. Fuel pump .45 hrs to do and charges 2 hours. I brought my car in for a P0174 Code and it took over 1 week to look at it. A smoke test was done and 2 leaks were found 1 from the CCV valve and 1 from valve cover. I let Scott fix the CCV valve that was a defective part He cleared the hard codes? I went home and replaced the valve cover I went back to him on the following Monday Scott was in Florida and there Mechanic said Scott will not work on the car if I worked on it. This place is a rip off I paid $600 for a CCV valve and I still have a car that is un-fixable due to Scott. I would not recommend this shop. What happened to the customer is always right? read more

Brought my 2011 BMW 335i there for an intermittent problem. Only 29,000 miles. My car was shutting down. The BMW dealer could not find anything wrong. Within several minutes Scott diagnosed the issue - a fuel rail sensor. He also knew when I pulled up that I was having an overheating issue. When I walked in he said "overheating issue?" I said "yes the light just went on." He had heard the fans when I pulled up. He installed all OEM (factory) parts as that's all he uses. An electric water pump, a rail fuel sensor and a thermostat. BMWs are very nice automobiles but extremely complex not only to diagnose but to work on. They are a highly complex medley of computers--sensors and so on. Scott has the proper computer programs to find the faults the BMW couldn't. Scott knows BMW inside and out. How come the BMW dealer could not figure this out? Typical big box mentality hiring cheap labor. At best they're parts changers. At worst incompetent. Car is 100%! He checked the entire car out while it was there. He even gave me a ride home. If you have a BMW you definitely need to take it here. Scott has a passion for what he does. His workmanship was stellar and his price fair. I highly recommend him. read more

Took my x5 to Bimmer shop and the owner Scott was able to figure out what was wrong with it right away. I had Warning lights of engine oil pressure and reduced power engine. He went as far as getting the car on the lift to pull out some of the belt that got sucked into the oil pump pick up. Scott was so helpful and honest about what he thought and the next steps. I was a new first time client who brought them my car (a very modified Evo 8) at the recommendation of my mechanic that had just moved out of state. I just needed to have the inspection done and the front drivers side tie rod end replaced. A week later and my car was ready. The moment I put the car in gear and started driving, I immediately noticed a whining sound coming from the transmission that was not there when the car was dropped off. I also was still hearing a clanking sound coming from the front drivers side suspension. I brought the car back to have them diagnose everything. Another week goes by and I'm told they cannot determine where the sound is coming from and on top of that, my drivers side shock was leaking fluid which would have been noticed when the tie rod was replaced. I know this shop specializes in European makes but there's no reason why I brought my car in for simple maintenance and left with it in worse condition then when I dropped it off. The fact that they couldn't even find the location of a noise after having the car for a week leaves me very skeptical of this shop and what they may have been doing with my car while they had it the first time. The use of a stethoscope would have located the noise. I highly do not recommend this shop! read more

I have a BMW X3 2013. Had a routine oil change at Goodyear two weeks ago. Had a routine inspection at a local shop one week ago who said "you know you have an oil leak?" Went back to Goodyear who finally confirmed this after a two hour wait. The. Was off to find a BMW mechanic but not at BMW. First stop. - NYBimmers Adrian based on reviews. Nice guy, small shop, very small, very busy, couldn't look at my car- call or come back in a week or so I'm told. I left and on a friends recommendation I go to Scott at BimmerShop on Verdi Street. Super nice guy, down to earth, took my car in and looked at it right away to my amazement. Gave me a fair quote for what I have- seems all BMWs get this dreaded oil leak problem. Very pricey problem. But Scott is fair. I have full confidence in his shop repairing my problem. I have an issue leaving my car over night with no way to get it back and the man offered to drop it to my house since I live like 10 minutes away. After having a few terrible experiences at several of the BMW dealerships, a friend of mine referred "Scott the BMW specialist" and the words spoke for themselves. My car was having a shaking issue and the 'service engine soon' light was flashing on the screen. The dealer wanted $152 plus tax to just diagnose the issue but I told the dealer to go ahead with the diagnosis. After getting back to me, they told me I needed to replace all 6 spark plugs and 6 ignition coils which was going to cost about $1000! At this point, I told BMW to hold off as I contacted Scott, the owner of The Bimmer Shop. I explained my issue, which he was very knowledgable about. He put me on hold for maybe all of 4 minutes and he gave me an estimate over the phone with the original BMW parts for less than half the price. I brought my car to him the next day for the repairs!
