Determined to try it, I drove to their site and saw they were still taking orders, so I got in line. When it was my turn to be helped, I was informed their fryers were down. They had other options, so I ordered the brisket, candied yams, + mac and cheese, and for dessert, caramel biscoff banana pudding. The total came out to $31. The lady that took my order said it would take about 20 minutes. 40 minutes later she informed me that they were just finishing up with my order, but they ran out of caramel for the dessert. When I finally got the food 5 minutes later, I took it to my car and gave it a try. I was disappointed off the bat. Apart from the food being lukewarm/on the colder end, I felt like the price I paid was not worth what I got. The Mac and cheese was not like anything I've tried before. It tasted like it had gorgonzola cheese which was not what i had expected/enjoyed. I thought the yams were tasty but lacking a punch. The brisket was tender but either needed to be seasoned a bit more or have more bbq sauce. The biscoff banana pudding was primarily Bananas, whipped cream, biscoff cookie and butter with a little bit of banana pudding. I really wanted to like the food but was disappointed with the whole experience.

When we've come the staff took some time to tell us a bit about the family history- passed along traditions and it's clear the recipes as well. This is a family-oriented legacy for these folks. And there's honor in that. If you're into just food, vibes, and low prices- this is NOT your venue. This is a place to celebrate a family (the owners) sharing a bit of themselves with you and yours. Note- people who complain typically mention price without thinking it's not just the food cost, but the lease, utilities, the insurance, staff wages. When we made the reservation online, we noted that we were celebrating a birthday. Then my husband started complaining how bad his was. I tasted it & it was awful, very bitter flavor. He had ordered a "chicken, bacon, pesto wrap". The chicken was bitter and mostly lettuce in the wrap. He opened it up & only 4 small pieces of chicken were in there. I called about a week ago & left a message for the owners to call me to discuss, as they are a young family & in the past seemed to care about details & looked as if they were taking pride in their new business. I never received a call back, so I called again today. This time explained everything again with receipt number, etc. .. I asked for the girls name, so I could track who I had talked to. She refused to give it to me. When I asked her why, she said she "didn't have to". She said she was the acting manager & that she would pass on my concerns to the owners. I'm not sure the owners are aware of the decline of the quality of their product or not. I'm pretty sure the staff is not telling them I had called twice. I let little Miss thing know that I would be publishing a negative Yelp review. I'm hoping this gets to the owners (my 3rd and final attempt). August 17, 2026 may have been the last $36.02 they get from me. It's not inexpensive fast food.
