Shortly after checking into our first room, we began hearing repeated loud thuds from the room above us. It sounded as though someone was repeatedly dropping a heavy object or riding a skateboard across the floor. The noise continued until around 11:00 p.m. and started again around 6:00 a.m., making it difficult to relax and get a good night's sleep. I called the front desk to ask if our room was located beneath the gym and requested a room change. The staff accommodated our request and moved us to another floor. Unfortunately, as soon as we opened the door to the second room, we were met with a strong musty, moldy odor. Upon closer inspection, we noticed what appeared to be mold growth around the air vent located directly above the bed. When I called the front desk, the clerk immediately asked if the room smelled "humid," which surprised me because it suggested they were already aware of the issue. Since we were staying for four nights, I asked if another room was available. Thankfully, the staff was eventually able to relocate us again. One additional inconvenience was the lack of places to hang wet towels or swimsuits to dry. As a result, nothing dried properly, and we had to request fresh towels each day. While I appreciate that the staff ultimately worked to address our concerns by moving us to different rooms, the overall experience was disappointing, especially considering the hotel's excellent reputation and the many positive recommendations we had received. I expected a much more comfortable stay, and unfortunately, this visit did not meet those expectations. Avoid room 236 below gym 360 mold and humid

An unforgettable stay -- truly an experience My husband and…read moreI found Milton Parker B&B purely by chance during an impromptu trip to visit family, and I am SO glad we did. This was not just another overnight stay--it was a true experience. From the moment you walk in, every room feels absolutely perfect and instantly relaxing. Denise and Bob, the wonderful couple who own the B&B, are the best kind of people--warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. Their hospitality alone makes this place special. The beauty and exquisite attention to detail throughout the entire mansion and its grounds transports you straight back to the Victorian era. The balance of femininity and masculinity in the design is spot-on--elegant, refined, and incredibly comfortable. Our room was spacious and peaceful. The bed was very comfortable, and the claw-foot tub in the bathroom was fantastic--a highlight of the stay. Breakfast was outstanding. We enjoyed coffee and orange juice, followed by a parfait made with fresh berries from the garden, topped with vanilla Greek yogurt and granola. The main course was a creative twist on quiche with eggs, spinach, and cherry tomatoes from the garden, paired with potatoes and flavorful venison sausage. Everything was perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious. Milton Parker B&B exceeded every expectation. If you're looking for something truly special, this is the place. We can't wait to return.

They were there to greet us when we came in, gave us the history of the beautiful house, and made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. The room was nice and cool and the beds very comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely delicious (my mother and I had berry overnight oats and my dad had scrambled eggs). There was also warm kolach pastry (I recommend the apple - delicious). Truly a one of a kind experience - 10/10 recommend!

Pros: * Very close to campus * Lots of stores and restaurants nearby * Felt pretty safe * Decent room size with plenty of storage * Refrigerator in the room * Lots of free parking * Plenty of towels provided * Noice level is decent  Cons: * Rooms are dated * Bathroom could use fresh caulking and paint * The remote was dirty, my cleaning wipe turned black after wiping it down * Staff is friendly, but they won't really go out of their way to help unless you specifically ask * Room doors open by pushing the latch up instead of down, which was a little odd * Keep the AC running so the room and carpet don't develop a musty smell Breakfast is ok and the lobby looks very nice. It just needs a renovation badly or a handyman in the mean time.
