Our server left 10:09pm with her purse and did not acknowledge us as walking out. Didn't mention anything about switching servers, if she was leaving on break or whatever it was. After the last place, we visited in Stockton this was definitely a 180 and I could not believe this was here!!! This place is definitely small, but the vibe is fire! There are just a few tables maybe 5 to 6 inside and there is a bar top. At this point it looked like there was only one person to serve the whole entire restaurant and let me tell you she did a bomb job look the way she did sexy! The drinks are fired. The vibe is fire. Everyone there was having a great time! At this point since we already ate, we looked at the menu and we did get to see that they have some really good food. They did not have happy on Friday, which made me kind of sad, but the margaritas were still nine bucks apiece. Check on my photos because the drinks look beautiful and the ice is nice and shredded so you get an even amount of everything. Check out this place because I feel like this is the only place in Stockton that has high-end drinks that are photogenic. Check out their menu because their food looks delicious because they got some fries on there that is a Mexican twist. The margarita that we got was made with love and I really appreciate her because her attitude and her tramlines really made experience way better. As I'm sad I already ate. My fellow Yelp friend suggested The Black Rabbit as the perfect pre-game spot before heading over to the Stockton Ports baseball game at nearby Banner Island Ballpark. For me - what a find! This place has a vibe that's hard to describe... moody yet inviting, with stylish decor that I'm sure makes some want to stay longer than planned. Oh and street parking wasn't difficult to find, which made it even more convenient. We grabbed a table and right away our server was friendly and helpful, even validating our choice to order the Asada Fries. I'm not sure how much my friends enjoyed them because I was too busy devouring them myself... crispy house fries piled high with asada, nacho cheese, pico de gallo, pickled jalapenos, and crema. Basically like nachos, but on fries... and it worked so well. I'd come back for those alone, yes - seriously! To drink, I went with a mocktail that was refreshing and balanced, while my companions enjoyed other beverages. Rounded up my 4.5 Food is excellent and drinks are good. Think their drinks can improve slightly as their old fashion doesn't really taste like it. BR is more citrusy where we are used to Smokey with citrus to cut the smoke. The mango margarita was recommended to us by a friend however they can use more mango. It was a little too sour for me. Elote fries suprised us as we had thought they were corn ribs but they were fries with corn and other toppings. Absolutely delicious! Food was excellent too. Their prices are also the most around. 4 drinks two meals and an app for less than $100 is greatly appreciated. Only wish the place was a little bigger because it's not their fault but they're quite popular and seat is limited. Kudos to the waitress finding us room so we can enjoy food and drinks. There was only one thing that really threw me off a bit. When I came home I saw two separate charges on my credit card. When I ordered , I kept the tab open. They charge you for the first initial amount right away(keep the card ) when You close the tab, they charge you for the full amount but you will see two charges when it's pending on your card , but it drops off . It made me a bit anxious but it dropped off on my statement today. So if you leave your tab open. Be aware that you might have the same thing happen to you, but just be patient and additional charge should drop off on your bank statement. read more

My friend got the burger that came with fries-- overall ok until she found a strand of hair... Our server was nice but it was her first day on the job so she really didn't know anything about the menu and drinks and had to "check and come back" with the answers 2-3 times :/ We didn't mind too much but just something we noticed. I thought the menu was more varied since it was on lists for places to eat in Stockton but the menu is quite small and mostly burgers. So I only had the Brussel sprouts and a drink before leaving to a different restaurant. The Brussel sprouts were a bit burned but good nonetheless. What was weird was that they gave us disposable utensils because they didn't have any clean metal utensils... we were only two people, that not a lot of utensils to wash? We came here for the Restaurant Week special and while the food was great, I feel like $30 is a bit pricey for a chicken sandwich, fries and a dessert that came out frozen. The fries came out first as an appetizer so they were cold by the time my sandwich came. The portion of fries was huge and the sandwich was tasty but the dessert was frozen and seemed store bought. Cocktails were great and the service was excellent. I loved the mood, decor and ambiance of this place but it's very tiny with limited seating. Maybe there is more seating in the back? I am from Stockton, but I had never stopped here before and wanted to grab a drink after dinner before heading home. We walked in a bit early, so no one else was there besides us. The vibes felt like walking into a secret room in a Harry Potter movie. The best way I could describe it is dark but welcoming in its own way. I got the Caramelized Pineapple Margarita which is pictured on the left. My friend got a cute design on hers! (I forgot what exactly she ordered). They have a comfortably long happy "hour", so also grabbed some OG Brussel Sprouts (definitely snag some; the double mustard truly made them /chef's kiss perfect). We did a Bee's Knees (her), Old Fashioned and Mezcal Smash (him), and Manhattans (both) for dessert; absolutely nothing could have been done better, it was all fabulous and delicious. If you are going to "Pre-auth" that should have been spoken "VERBATIM" Then there isn't an issue. But ... to a certain degree I get it. Certainly demographics need to secure payments. I was highly irritated with the professionalism at that point. (I manage at a restaurant in Roseville.) I kept quiet started observing and locked my card. I was going to order a smash burger But... at that point you lost the sale. I made sure i got a copy of my purchase, because initially I was NOT given the 2nd copy to the card transaction. (Guest & establishment copy....) I gave tip in CASH. Wrote in "CASH" on the merchant copy. I got more passive attitude when I asked her, for a copy of my receipt. This whole visit in 30 minute was questionable business- Checking my bank account tonight. I was charged 35$! For my (1) OLD FASHIONED w/Bulleit Bourbon $14- Thats exactly why i asked for a receipt. Legality reasons- I was waiting to give the benefit on the transaction. After calling 3x's and arguing with whomever you have representing your business My charge just magically adjusted during my call. confirmed my taste for the place. BAD for business PERIOD. Better business standards must be implemented- RESPONSE to ROCIO! I called last night seeing the charge! (Business was closed) I called again right now Tuesday 5:21 PM! No manager.
