Look blinds are painfully expensive and if you can do it yourself, you an reduce your cost dramatically. However. If you are not comfortable with that option The Blind Man would be an option I would recommend. On time and professional beginning to end and at pricing that wasn't cheap but a value we could work with. We did have electrical blinds installed, which The Blindman does not do the electrical portion. We used Ence Electric for that (talk to Amy and ask for Lance for the install). We have had Lance here 6 times over 4 years and he does great work and quickly. Not to mention a great guy who we really look forward to visiting with whenever we see him. read more

A local friend recommended them for shutters. We wound up using them for all of our window treatments. They were not only fair on their prices, but their delivery and installations were A-1. The master bedroom main accordion shade didn't look quite right at the bottom. There was no hesitation on their part to replace it completely. We used the Blindman to do our whole house except for three windows in our new home. When we went to their office in Washington, we wanted to do our last windows. They said they would contact us. This was in May 2020. We have since contacted them 3 times since and each time told they would call us back later that day. We are still waiting to hear from them. Since they also warranty their blinds, We are wondering if they would ever respond if we did have a issued with the current window coverings, which we do not have at this time. The other issued is that we had to go to another business which helped us but the problem is now our molding around our shutters is different. read more

We made a big mistake. We were new to the area. Bought a brand new home. Needed blinds. Contacted Blindman. They have all the top brands. So we got the push up pull down ones, Hunter Douglas you know the best, right? It should be, two windows, 2000.00. Wow. Now forward 2 years, blinds are not the best at smoothly going up and down. Call to have them check our 2000.00 blinds. Oh by the way, think we have put these blind down maybe 10 times. Probable because they don't ever work that easily. So the Blandman repair person comes to the house. They fixed the problem with out blinds we have use less than 10 times. 50 bucks, they wanted to charge us 50 bucks to fix a 2000.00 blind that was used less than 10 times. What happened to, "We stand behind every sale." There are several independent blinds and shades dealers in the St George area that will give you quality blinds and they stand behind their products 100% Please, please do not use the Blindman. Went there to get clips for my vertical blinds. They had approximately 22 of the 50 I needed. The gal called the other store and they had about the same number. I wanted ALL of them at 1.00 ea. She would not sell me all. Her reason is someone else may want/need them. What? Then she said an installer may need them. What? I came home and found 24 clips for under 10.00 online free shipping. This is my 2nd review of this company. Initially, I was very pleased with the large variety of choices, the price (we got bids from 3 different companies and The Blindman beat the others), and the installation. Now I'm writing to say how happy I am with the customer service! One of our solar shades started releasing a bit too easily and I called to have them take a look at it. The original installers came right out and fixed the problem in 5 minutes. No charge. I am very pleased with our shades and would highly recommend that you try The Blindman out! read more

The installers removed old blinds and installed the shutters quickly and efficiently. On May 17th I ordered black out blinds for our master bedroom. To date I am still trying to resolve the fact that these blinds do not fit any of the 3 windows properly. Our sales person, Charity, did come out to look at them and said she could see why I was not satisfied. Each window lets light in on the top, left and right side! However now she is saying that she is sorry she wasn't clear when she was here. The installers came out and moved them back in the window casing leave holes along the top of each casing! They don't seem to even want to fix these. I am sorry I ordered from this company and feel they are not the interested in making things right! The logo on this business is HORRIFIC. I guess they figure that blind people do not need blinds, shutters or shades because they can't see? Nor can they see the offensive logo? Apparently this biz has been operating for many years & NOBODY has even noticed how offensive it is. Maybe it's not fair to rate them, because no one showed up! I called the store to inquire about buying an automated blind for the large window in my front room. The woman said she would have their sales rep contact me. I waited a few days and no call back. I called the store again and the woman apologized and said she didn't know what happened but would have the sales rep call me right away, which she did. I told her what I wanted and asked if she could email me the different colors this particular shade came in. She said she would send them the next day. I never received the email she promised and after a week, I got tired of waiting and a little annoyed to always call them to try and get service. I called Jones Paint and Glass and they were out the same day with lots of choices to choose from. I gave them my business and was very happy with their product and customer service. This was months ago and I've yet to receive a call or email from The Blind Man. read more

I have used The Blindman 3 different times over the last 10 years and have been very happy each time. Charity has bid the jobs each time and has been wonderful to work with. She is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet and is also very knowledgeable and helpful. My most recent installer Braedon is also a real asset to The Blindman. Braedon did a great job and was very friendly and helpful. The only negative thing I could say is it took quite a while to get my shutters, however that is likely because they are in high demand due to a quality product at a good price. I needed blinds for 2 sets of 3 small windows in my house. The woman who came out to do the estimate was very professional and explained everything very well. They were a little more expensive then I planned on paying but they have paid for themselves with lower electricity bills. The first set of blinds were for the windows in the hallway were 1 section of blind that covered all 3 windows. When those can in there was a problem with the hardware but the guys were able to install them. The other set of blinds had to be done as 3 separate shades. Those can in a week later along with the hardware for the other set of blinds. Installation was fast and easy for the second set of blinds and the workmen were able to fix the hardware problem on the other blinds very easily. When the blinds came in I was called and installation was set for the next day or the day after. The staff were courteous and willing to answer any questions I had. I would recommend The Bindman if you need blinds done. read more

If it were possible to give these people a minus 5 stars I would. Dallen, who says he owns the company but does not, he's a relative. It explains why he is still working there. We ordered a whole house full of blinds for our new home. The workmanship was shoddy, they installed some of them, and they did not fit properly and let in the light in on all 4 sides. When we complained they were poor quality and did not look good he became enraged, started screaming, and I feared he was going to hit my 77 year old husband. He became so abusive we felt threatened and were warned if we did not pay him the balance then and there he would rip the ones down that were put up and we would be stuck with the repairs. Hindsight of course doesn't help Now. We should have called the police. We are stuck with cheap looking, ill fitting blinds laying on the floor. We are now going to have to install them until we can order blinds from a reputable company. Please be careful, he has an explosive temper. It would be wise if you unfortunately end up using them to make sure someone else is also present. read more

I needed replacement basic verticals for my rental property. The sales person became quite disinterested in me when I insisted I just needed basic verticals and she couldn't convince me to purchase something more updated (and pricey). It will be two weeks, they said. The cost? Over $500. A ridiculous price for something so basic and simple. Nevertheless, I ordered them because I needed them quickly and I needed them installed. Two weeks later. Nothing. I called. They don't know where the blinds are. They will get back to me. Three weeks. Nothing. I called. They said they would get back to me. Nothing. I called again. The fabric isn't in, they say. It is on back order. The blinds are plastic, I say. We'll find out where they are. Four weeks. Nothing. I call again. We'll check. Finally I get an answer. The blinds are being made now in Salt Lake. They might be here this week; they might be here next week. Five weeks. They arrive and they are installed. Installation was great. The blinds look pretty, but I won't use this company again. read more

We have ordered from the Blind Man in Utah County for a long time so when we bought a new home in Southern Utah we contacted them again. Unfortunately our experience has not been good. It took them a long time to get the blinds installed and when they did come the blinds were really dirty. We called our salesman (from Utah County) and installers came from St. George and agreed that the quality was unacceptable. They said they would come pick them up and bring some temporary blinds until they could get the problems corrected. Unfortunately, they only brought the "temporary blinds" for the two windows in our bedroom and the remaining windows were left uncovered. We were told they would be able to bring them back to reinstall them in a couple of weeks. After almost 3 weeks of waiting, and not hearing anything I called to see what was going on. I was informed that they were having trouble getting the right color of stain - original blinds were not the color we had requested - they were much darker. After a few days they came with a sample color which was what we ordered originally. They had to start all over. The person that came indicated that they would be refunding a portion of our money due to all the issues we had. After a few weeks I attempted to call them about the refund we had been promised. Over a month later we still haven't received any refund or even a call from them to discuss why it hasn't been forthcoming. Not sure I will use this company again and definitely won't recommend them to anyone. read more
