Upon arriving the team was helpful navigating the area with tips on traffic for attending Steelers Training Camp in the morning. Breakfast had a nice variety but unfortunately no waffle maker that we tend to look forward to if staying in a similar type hotel. We enjoyed the water, tea, and coffee that is available in the lobby throughout the day and night. The hotel was quiet, clean, and accommodating to make our stay worry-free!

The tv was on a swivel so you could watch from the bed or the couch. Shower was nice and hot with good water pressure and includes shampoo/conditioner/body wash mounted on the shower wall. We stopped at the bar one evening for wine. The selection was limited as they were out of many choices for red wine. The bartender was friendly and accommodated us as best as she could. Breakfast was decent. The waffles tasted like pure sugar so you might want to avoid those. They also offered scrambled eggs and sausage one more and breakfast sandwiches another. The standard bagels, cereal and fruit were also available. Coffee was good. Michele was working hard in the morning keeping things stocked and fresh.

We enjoyed are evenings & breakfasts & stories of the house in the Parlor which was comfortable & current with TV /DISH. In the early morning hours and sometimes even during the day - the surrounding hills cover with fog and you feel like you're standing on an island in the middle of the ocean. It's utterly breathtaking. (I highly recommend staying in the upstairs bedroom! Super comfy beds, an awesome bathroom/shower, and a perfect view of the rolling hills!) A large group of wedding vendors and I photographed a styled wedding on the property and we couldn't have been happier with the end result. There are acres and acres of beautiful trails to walk, a large pond full of fish, an awesome bonfire and outdoor bar, as well as a beautiful barn on the land. The space is utterly perfect for country or outdoor weddings! I cannot wait to visit again - both for professional reasons and for personal! (Also, the owners, Sandy and Lou are two of the sweetest people I've ever met! If you love stories about history - ask them questions! They have so many great tales to tell!)

They are wonderful! They do anything they can to make their guests feel like they belong. If you are looking for great repartee or to enjoy a quiet evening alone, either way, they will happily oblige. Then there is the food! Everything is made from scratch...including the yogurt! Finally, there is the house itself. Enjoy mechanical music? Boy have they got it! There are at least four grand reproducing pianos, a pianola, a full player organ, numerous rare music boxes, and victrolas and radios of every sort. Then there is the collection of rare clocks...to many to count. During the summer, you will probably receive a tour of the spectacular antique car collection which includes two Franklin Automobiles and an American LaFrance roadster, to name a few. Stopped by on Sunday for a tasting and was pleasantly surprised by B&L. Per the bartender, they import their grapes from various parts of the country (as I don't think grapes would grow well near Jtown) and make their own wines from there. We started with the whites, the stand outs to me were the Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and Reisling. I'm usually not a Chard girl, esp when its oak barreled, but this was surprisingly smooth. Their reds weren't as strong as their whites, IMO, but the best red they had is the Sangiovese. Very smooth and drinkable. $6 got us a cheese plate with 4 different varieties of cheese but only Ritz crackers. It'd be a bit nicer to get a cracker variety or fancier cracker, but i'd be lying if I didn't admit to pounding those ritzs. I bought 4 bottles to bring home, which rang in at about $80. So, not extremely cheap, but as mentioned, the wine quality was better than I expected and I am more than happy to support this local business.
