    Taproom

I have been to the relatively new Pittsburgh Brewing location in Creighton a few times now, and have enjoyed each visit. Since they primarily are only open for events, I have been during two different ones. The Taproom area is very spacious, and provides a look into some of the equipment and processes that the brewery has for producing their products. They serve beer, of course, as well as selections from their distillery portion of the business. It is fun to see their selection at this location, as sometimes they will be serving beers that have not yet hit stores or the general market yet. For example, at the recent Regatta event, they were serving the Blockhouse Blueberry Wheat before it was available to the masses. And boy it was divine! They have a gift shop on the premise, but it is not exactly connected to the main Taproom. It is open to the public throughout the week, even when the Taproom is not. The prices are fair, and they have a wide selection to choose from. There is also a specific part of the gift shop for their distillery. Something unique is that even if the Taproom is not open, they have a few beers on tap to try right in the gift shop! There was also a sale section with a lot of items, including mystery bags. On my most recent trip, I got to see an event held on the lawn between the buildings and the river. It is giant, and had a lot of food and other vendors to visit. It is an awesome space, equipped with a ton of free parking. It is cool that they are starting to have more events, concerts, and festivals to utilize that space when the weather permits. Overall, this is a nice spot to highlight a Pittsburgh staple brand. I look forward to their continued expansion, and hopefully more access to the space beyond events. I know they also provide tours for a price, and I would like to take part in that in the future as well.

We had a lovely tour, it was so fun and very informative! Our tour guide was great. You could tell he was passionate about the company. You also receive samples as part of the tour....there's no shortage either!! This is a GREAT way to try many of their beers. Highly recommend!

The Old German Premium Lager, a nice refreshing beer to sit down to!

Steve and I recently had a beer from Pittsburgh Brewing Company and it was a positive experience! We had the Old German which is an American style lager. The flavor profile with this lager is sweet, clean, perhaps a hint of apple. The body of the beer is light and smooth. It would be a perfect beer to have with bratwurst or a hamburger and I think that is the gist towards that anyway. Glad to continue to keep trying out breweries I haven't had before despite many of them closing at a rapid rate this day and age.

Nothing like a good ole IC Light when staying in the burgh! We actually did the walk in reservation for the brewery tour and had an awesome time! They actually give you a decent amount of beer samples! I was feeling pretty good leaving there. We met some awesome folks too on the tour. All around a great afternoon spent at the Iron City Brewing Company.

Here for a concert. And this is just the PRE PARTY. Tribute to Jimmy Buffett. Food trucks are here. Nothing says Pittsburgh like hunky food and Iron City! @pittsburgh Pierogi truck! #pittsburghpierogitruck I have to say the venue is great. Need to adjust the logistics of the food, drink and bathrooms in the field. But I would attend another event there. Parking is crap in the largest lot. Would be nice to have shuttles. After a long day in the sun the walk is killer. There should have been additional access with those that had vip access. Worthless paying the extra money for 3-4 hours of paying $8-12 a drink. When everything was the same price on the lawn side and the lines were 4x as long

We went on the PBCo (Iron City Beer/Pittsburgh Brewing Co) tour and it was great! Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. So much history, the samples were great too. I didn't know they made liquor also! Got a 5th of Gin, can't wait to try. They do whiskeys as well! fun tour, worth the time and money. Plus they hold events there, which I didn't know about.

I absolutely adore Pittsburgh Brewing! I have been here 2 times now- the beer tour/brewery tour, and the distillery tour. Both were awesome!! I learned so much. My fiancé and I are Iron City and IC Light fanatics so it was so fun to go and check out the process of how our favorite beer is made. We also loved the Distillery tour! I learned so much about whiskey and I'm not even a big whiskey drinker. The employees are extremely kind and knowledgeable, they are so in depth with the tours. Definitely a super cool experience and worth checking out Pittsburgh Brewing if you have the chance!

Great place to go watch a Steeler game, with options inside at the taproom bigscreen or outside in the lot where a humongous screen is set up. Drats are reasonably priced, staff is friendly, and it's a fun place to go with a good crowd, but not too crowded. I'll definately do it again!

    We sampled everything! Great offerings

I come from a long line of steelworkers and thought I pretty much knew all there was to know. That was, until the tour. The tour guide was extremely informative. Most of the folks working (volunteering) at Carrie have some connection to the steel industry. In addition to the tour, I have had the privilege of attending events there as well. Yep, they rent out the space. Everything was well put together at the events and having the furances as backdrop took it to the next level. As far as the tours go, I feel so strongly that Pittsburgh natives and tourists alike take one. It's really incredible to learn how much of the country was built because of Carrie.

The tour lasted about 2.5 hours and was mostly outside in direct sunlight. There were a few opportunities for shade, but not many. If you come on a hot day, plan to arrive hydrated and grab a complimentary water bottle from the check in desk. You'll need it. Parking is plentiful, the history is intriguing, and the art scattered about the property is thoughtful and engaging. If you're lucky, you'll spot some wildlife who inhabit the surrounding area.

Awesome indoor outdoor hybrid with the open garage doors. The outdoor space has real chairs & tables and not picnic tables now, I wasn't a fan of the old tables they didn't seem very sturdy. There's also a fire pit in the upper part of the patio. Would be an awesome place to see some live music and get your brew on! Beer is all very good as well. I got a flight today of the razz lager, summer splash, IPA, and octoberfest. I liked them all but summer splash was by far my favorite, very fruity and fresh. Surprisingly, as someone who loves raspberry, the razz lager was my least favorite, still drinkable and good though just not my first option. Food was ok. I had the pulled pork melt with the coleslaw and my dad had the beef melt with mac n cheese. The melt didn't have any sauce on it, it comes on the side, so it was pretty dry. My dad remarked the same thing about his melt. The chips it comes with are clearly out of a bag but I actually really liked them. The coleslaw was bare bones - I mean probably the dryest coleslaw I've ever had. I'm not even sure if it was supposed to be a vinegar or mayo based slaw, it was literally completely dry. I ended up putting some of the bbq sauce on it. We both got a side of beer cheese which was a showstopper, especially with the chips.

We were impressed by the gift shop & tap room - stocking up on gifties & sampling some of the brews. Really liked the open-air vibe of the place - would like to come back when we can spend more time just 'hanging out';)
