Yes, you cannot get a refund when you return (and sizing is tricky), but so far, the credit option has worked because they do have beautiful quality clothes and I simply apply it towards my next order. I was able to ship returns from two separate orders together and they only charged one label fee which I appreciated. The items are shipped promptly and wrapped beautifully. I would say their items run on the large size, simply pay attention to the materials and if they have stretch. Overall, I love their store from Texas, wish we had one here. read more

I've bought many pieces and accessories from The Blue Door Boutique over the years and finally reached the point of leaving this review since I'm sure I'll never return. It's clear I am not the target audience. Silly to think that sharing this feedback to the manager a few times would help lol. What I thought was immature or undertrained staff is actually the product of a toxic, shameful and unacceptable culture. Saturday, I stopped by for something cute for a dinner date. No one greeted me or asked to help. I walked around with an arm-full of clothes... no assistance. I asked for a fitting room. Someone sorta pointed. While dressing I heard the staff GLEEFULLY welcome other patrons and offer to assist if needed. Interesting. There were only about 4 shoppers present. I was the youngest and only nonwhite person. When I stepped out of the dressing room, a staff member behind the desk merely stared at me. She didn't ask me if I liked anything, needed anything, wanted anything... total disregard. I had my teen daughters with me and for the first time was embarrassed for trying to fit into a place that obviously doesn't want me there. I will spend my money where I'm treated kindly. read more

I found this boutique on Facebook and always notice the cutest dresses and finally decided to order from them! I am always nervous to order clothes on-line but, I am so glad that I did! The dresses are a great fit, quality fabric and the stitching is really top quality. They fit very true to size and are a little bigger but, I have received a ton of complements. I purchased the Chevron Tank Dress in Black with the mint colored chevron and the Cut That Out Dress in white! $39.00/$42.00 but, free shipping! I starting following The Blue Door on Instagram because my sister orders a lot of cute clothes in there, however I was skeptical about ordering on line. So, on my way back from a summer trip to Orlando, I made it my business to stop at the store front to see the clothing first hand. I was mainly looking for back to school clothes for my daughter. The young lady that assisted me was extremely helpful and as I left there with my purchases, I knew that this was a going to be a "go to boutique" for me. There were 2 pieces that the sales associate had to order for me, but after a week, I hadn't received my order so I contacted the store. Mistakes happen, so I was not upset and they ensured that it was sent out through UPS that day. One of the pieces did not fit my daughter, so I needed to return it. No problem, since I was heading to Columbus for work in a couple of days. When I arrived at the store I handed the owner/manager my return, then I looked around the store. She approached me a few minutes later and asked me if I washed the shirt. She said it smells good, but she was wondering if I washed it. Didn't realize that it is possible to wash a garment and the store tags that are attached to it are in perfect shape. Not to mention I was insulted because I felt as if she thought it had been worn. I wanted to swap and get my daughter a new shirt, but after that exchange I knew I would not shop this store again. I used the store credit to get a blouse and the $250 dollars that I spent there will be the last piece of money they'd ever see from me. I know they don't care. I was in this store on Friday May 20, 2022. I wasn't dressed the best. I had on some capri sweatpants, a T-shirt and some flip flops. There was obviously some prejudice attitudes towards me because I didn't dress or look like I was rich, better yet, I didn't wear my money on my sleeve. There was a beautiful top that I wanted from there, but because of the treatment that I received, I refused to spend my money in your store. Stella's Boutique and Target got my money. Not that you care, but don't look down your nose at people and assume they have nothing if they aren't dressed up in the attire you sell. Your girls acknowledged everyone else but me. Helped everyone else, but me, however they were pretty quick to tell me BYE. I will never ever be back at your store to shop and I will not ever recommend your store to anyone else. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!! My friend & I both separately ordered a maxi dress for a cost of $71. When received, both dresses are way big at the top & way small at the bottom. The slit up the leg goes to our waists...NOT as the pictures shows on the website. When I requested a return, they said I must pay shipping AGAIN & they will only issue a store credit. In other words...I pay for their mis-advertised product (I trusted their size measurements on the website...which is definitely wrong in this case x 2), then I must trust them & buy from them again as well as pay shipping for the new item. I used to buy online from them all of the time but for the last 6 - 12 months or so whoever is their new buyer for styles has just gotten pretty bad. Lots of flowey older woman styles you see on your mom. I wish whoever used to do the buying would come back or maybe they have just ventured into a differnt style now. This place used to be my go to for new tops and dresses, I would always wait for the emails to come out with new arrivals but now I am just always disappointed. With all of the competition out there now for online boutiques this just doesn't compete any longer. I love this store so much that I felt like I had to come on here, sign up and post a review for myself! To be honest, I had checked out this store a year or two ago and because of the bad reviews on here, I didn't purchase anything. I was worried about the return policy and the clothes being "poorly" made and the staff being unfriendly. I had NONE of those problems. After admiring their clothes time and time again, I finally decided I was just going to go for it and buy a few things - if I was out $100 then whatever. Since that initial purchase, I seriously buy from Blue Door almost weekly. They make their return policy MORE than well known and to me, I could care less that I only get store credit because it gets used on a new purchase within a day or two of getting the store credit refunded to me. I haven't had any issues with the clothes being of poor quality and almost every time that I wear an outfit from this store I get a compliment. I've been sending so many people their way! I'm from Maryland so I don't have any personal experience with the actual store, but when I call everyone is very courteous and respectful. My one girlfriend lived in Columbus for awhile and said that she went in for an outfit for a wedding and that they were the most helpful and pleasant people she ever worked with! She walked out with an adorable outfit that the staff put together for her! If you're on the fence about this place - PLEASE disregard the poor reviews and GO! The only regret I have is not buying from them sooner!! Like I said, I feel so strongly about it that I felt I had to come on here and speak my piece because I'm so upset that the bad reviews kept me away for as long as it did. After seeing Blue Door only having one review, and a very poor one at that, I just had to write. I am sorry to the other reviewer that you had a bad experience. But honestly I LOVE this place. I was visiting my best friend who lives in Columbus and she took me here. The clothes are awesome, with many styles and colors for all different tastes as well as sizes. The girls working there were very helpful and even though I live in CA and do not get to shop locally they have a fabulous web site for online shopping. You can chat with a stylist if you have questions about a specific piece, or if they are out of stock you can set it up to be notified when it becomes available. I found this from a friend on FB when she shared the page and although I live in Southern California, I must say I have already done my share of shopping here! I have shopped online and over the phone and never had any problems or issues. I have had to return a few things this past week due to sizing since all brands run so different, but the returns are handled quickly for store or online credit. My only complaint is that they sell out too quickly sometimes and I don't have a chance to order it! The girls are very nice and friendly when you call. You would think where I live, I could find a store like this, but no way yet! I doubt if I will ever get into the real store, but I will keep shopping here and tell my friends about them! I've been purchasing from Blue Door on and off for a couple years because they really do have some super cute clothing. The girls are always very kind and helpful. I always shop from them via facebook (before they had the website) or online since I don't live in Columbus. The only reason I'm giving three stars is because they sell out of items SO quickly. Unless you're sitting at your computer just WAITING for them to post new items, you're going to miss out on a lot. There have been many times where I've seen something on the website in the morning and told myself, I'll buy it when I get home from work, since I don't want to be "shopping" on the clock, but every time I've done that, the items are gone. That's on the SAME DAY! Now granted, they are bound to have or get new, just as cute items in soon enough, but it's still frustrating. The return policy is also a bit frustrating for those of us who order online exclusively,but with it being a small business, I do understand that policy. It said on the return I could only use my credit online and not in the store however I was able to use the credit in the store which was wonderful because I had been really upset when I thought I could only use it online. I have been a Blue Door customer for a couple years now. The staff here does a great job keeping the store and the online boutique stocked with trendy clothes and accessories.The clothes are so cute and mostly good quality. Recently a tunic shrunk after I washed it for the first time (following label instructions). The ladies at the Blue Door were very gracious and allowed me to exchange the tunic. All of my other purchases have been fantastic! Yes, the return policy is a bit restrictive, but customers are required to agree to the return policy (both in-store at the register and online at checkout) before completing a purchase. Went to this boutique with a friend with high hopes because Columbus is sorely lacking when it comes to good retail options. There were 3 employees in the store and not a single one greeted us or asked if we needed help. Instead, they socialized with one another the entire time. There are cute items in the shop however, there is not one recognizable brand in the store. I made many purchases through the years from this store, in person and on-line. I was always pleased with the quality. Unfortunately, they do not value their loyal customers. I ordered on-line with their July 4 sale which had the code "freedom". An additional 40% was taken off the entire purchase price. All of the items were new with no additional discounts. I wear a 0/2 and ordered a Small in a dress. When I tried on the dress, it was more suitable for a teen size 14. I stopped by the store to exchange it but was told that since the purchase was made on-line, I would have to call the number for the on-line ordering. I was told that the 40% "freedom discount" was final sale and that no items could be exchanged. I explained that no where in the description, when I ordered, did it say that this item "ran small". The girl with whom I spoke pulled the item up and said it did say that. I said it must have changed. I told her that they should know that on-line ordering may require exchanges. I wasn't looking for a refund, just an exchange and would probably have purchased additional items. It appears that the discounts are not "free". Note to customers: DO NOT order ON-LINE from this store! read more

Be sure you know they do not give refunds and if you spend 500.00 for a bunch of clothes and you get it and for what ever reason send them back you WILL NOT get your money back. Will never order from them again for that one reason. Have a limited budget and even a few dollars tied up on a place i have to spend them tells me they are not sure of their line as for as quality or as most all other sites refund unconditional. Did not notice until it was to late. So if you spend 50 you have already spent 8 for shipping and if you have to pay 8 or more to send it back you might as well keep it . think that is what they count on. While this boutique has cute clothes and jewelry (which is hard to come by sometimes in the city of Columbus) the reason I cannot rate it any higher is because of the unwelcoming atmosphere inside the store. I have been in this store multiple times and almost every time I have been uncomfortable. The girls who work there socialize with each other, or with people who come into the store that they know. I have been completely ignored on numerous occasions and then felt as if I was bothering them by asking for a fitting room to be unlocked. I found this store on Pinterest and for weeks have been looking through the website at all of the adorable clothes. I don't prefer to shop online especially with return policies that only do store credit, but I decided to give it a go and I am so glad that I did. My clothes were free shipping, an hour after ordering I received an email confirmation that my clothes had shipped; and the order arrived within 5 days (including weekend days). Be careful with this one. First, when you visit, the staff is very unwelcoming. It is not a pleasant atmosphere at all. I purchased a dress online due to a special one day sale off the entire website. The purchase was not becoming so I attempt to return. This was in the period required and the item as unworn and still had the tags on it. It had stated all sales final. Like most boutiques, I assumed that just meant no refunds. Most will allow an exchange or store credit. Not this boutique. If you purchase anything on sale, even a one day promo, they will do nothing for you. When asked for my feedback, I explained that it could be made a bit more clear. The two requirements listed, on their site, where met. The response was very short and defensive. They don't list the materials, i.e. cotton, polyester, modal, etc... which should have been my first red flag. The reason I'm thinking they don't list them is because there does not seem to be one natural fiber in the store. They listed the two tops I purchased as "tees" -- one was a short sleeved SWEATER, and the other was a chiffon-ish polyester blouse...NOT "tees" in any sense of the word. I was going to return them, but then realized I'd have to pay for return shipping, having already paid for shipping the first time..and then pay for shipping AGAIN on whatever I picked (because you HAVE to pick something out because they ONLY give store credit...NO REFUNDS...so I just kept my two horrible "tops" made out of unnatural fibers, probably purchased from China for about 1/50th of what they charge for them. I purchased a shirt from The Blue Door Boutique, followed the care instructions and the colors bled. I called the store and spoke with both a sales person and finally the owner. Neither one of these ladies would make their store's item good by offering me store credit. They said it was my dry cleaners fault and they should reimburse me. I simply followed the care instructions as printed on the tag. I can't believe a privately owned business would ruin potential years of business over a $50 shirt, but I will NEVER shop here again. Let me start by saying that I don't really enjoy shopping but I am enjoying the fact that Columbus has so many lovely buotiques with cute , original clothing. My husband got me a gift card for the The Blue Door and we made it over there one Saturday to see what I could find. We were greeted right away and asked what I was looking for. I looked through the store and only found 1 or 2 items that I was interested in trying and they started a fitting room for me while I was looking. I have to say that the customer service I received from Madi was AMAZING! She went arounf the store and found some other items that she had me try, which I was thankful for because I do need lots of help when shopping. I don't know what would look good off the hanger or on my body and Madi was incredibly helpful. I ended up purchasing 2 dresses that I would have never picked out for myself but I have worn them both and I love them! While I was shopping Madi asked if there was a special occasion and I casually mentioned I was looking for something for a simple dinner with friends that night. A few days after I bought the dresses I received a lovely hand written note in the mail from Madi thanking me for coming and hoping that I enjoyed my dinner. I have yet to see this type of customer service in any of the other boutiques I have shopped. All of the girls that work there were very sweet and helpful. read more
