What I thought was immature or undertrained staff is actually the product of a toxic, shameful and unacceptable culture. Saturday, I stopped by for something cute for a dinner date. No one greeted me or asked to help. I walked around with an arm-full of clothes... no assistance. I asked for a fitting room. Someone sorta pointed. While dressing I heard the staff GLEEFULLY welcome other patrons and offer to assist if needed. Interesting. There were only about 4 shoppers present. I was the youngest and only nonwhite person. When I stepped out of the dressing room, a staff member behind the desk merely stared at me. She didn't ask me if I liked anything, needed anything, wanted anything... total disregard. I had my teen daughters with me and for the first time was embarrassed for trying to fit into a place that obviously doesn't want me there. I will spend my money where I'm treated kindly.

The employee apologized to the white woman ahead of me for having to wait so long.
