First time eating here and we are from out of town. Great service "Destiny" was great and very personable and friendly. The food was good, we had the Chicken salad Croissant sandwich, very tasty. I loveee the Blue Spoon. The coffee is always so good. I love that they change the specials every week and the donuts! I am super excited that they are now doing Saturday hours for the summer, as I work 8-5 everyday and can't make it during the week. Nice spot in the middle of the town, this restaurant was bright and cheerful with a nice waitstaff. I had the special of the day salad which was a nice selection of greens with fresh blackberries and strawberries with pistachios for crunch. The homemade dressing was delicious! Near the restaurant on the corner is the West Virginia hotel with an interesting history and creepy, abandoned vibe . Had fun thinking about all the galas that would have been held there in the 1920s. read more

I ordered a meal for four people on Door Dash and after it arrived I was missing one of the sandwiches. When I called to report to The Blue Spoon the worker challenged me and was rude until finally checking and seeing she had made a mistake. Even though I had paid top dollar and top for delivery to get my food she said I would need to come to the store to get the sandwich they forgot. In traffic it took me 30 minutes to go and get it and get back for lunch. They didn't even offer a free cupcake for my trouble. Never getting another dollar from me. read more

The donuts appear to be deep fried Pillsbury biscuits, super dry and flavorless, loaded with icing and toppings to distract you, if you're craving donuts skip this place. The biscuits and gravy were also pretty sad for $11 read more

This was a super cute restaurant, the atmosphere was super inviting. The staff was very friendly and accommodating (we had a group of 7). I had the turkey, cranberry and Brie croissant sandwich with the seasonal pasta salad. Both were incredibly delicious. Really great place to stop in for breakfast or lunch. The parking is street but easy to find a spot. The decor is super cute. As for the food, I didn't have one item I didn't like. They have drinks included with their lunch specials. I would recommend their chicken salad. It has really nice flavors and does not have an overwhelming amount of mayo. I tried their chili and French onion dip as sides, delish. Adding to all this, their prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend. read more

We heard great things about this little cafe in Bluefield so I tried it for lunch on a Friday. It must have been an off day. I ordered the Turkey cranberry and Brie croissant to go. The cashier who took my order informed me they were out of croissants but offered alternatives of artisan bread, white or wheat. I chose artisan and confirmed with the cashier that it was a crusty bread. After 28 minutes of waiting and observing the staff text on their phones between customers, sip on beverages with no hand washing and whine about how bad their day had been, I received my sandwich. The sandwich was made with stale commercial white bread, wilted spring mix and one 2 inch slice of Brie. The Turkey and the cranberry sauce were fine from what I could tell but I couldn't get beyond the stale bread. Yuck! In the trash it went. Please educate your staff on what Artisan bread is and to wash their hands after handling their phones and drinking. Just because they wear food service gloves doesn't mean your customers are safe from poor food handling practices. Also, shameful you aren't open on weekends. Can't imagine why. That is when the public is out and about and could possibly benefit from your restaurant. read more
