Great place with good food and nice ambience. Can be a bit pricey though sometimes just wish they'd lower some prices for food.

We stopped by on a Friday afternoon for a drink and check it out. It was busy on the 1st floor bar with friendly people and staff. The facility is huge and has many bars on the ground level, beer and snack shacks with very reasonable prices as well as GaGa, a dodgeball type of game, corn hole and many more activities. It is a huge area that can accommodate boats for dinner and a roof top bar overlooking Manahawkin bay. It looks like it could be lots of fun for friends and family. read more

This was an amazing spot. Very chill & relaxing. I loved all the decorations and The outdoor bars and the views. My friend has told me about the awesome cocktails here so we tried the Pumpkin espresso martini and it was excellent. Highly recommend it. Love the waterside beachy vibe, Outdoor games, large covered patio and relaxed dog friendly atmosphere. They had corn hole , basketball, and beach ball beer pong They had two different food vendors, one had burger type food, one had seafood. I had the sushi style tuna served over seaweed salad and we also had the chicken fingers and fries. We enjoyed the outdoor music and watching the people come in and out on boats and wave runners. You can also rent boats from here. I would I recommend this place for a casual lunch or dinner or for drinks, games and music. read more

This place has so much potential to be better. It's right on the water, family friendly vibes, and also dog friendly. However, there were so many things wrong with this visit... let me explain: 1. NO FILLED WATER BOTTLES Okay, I get it that people will smuggle in alcohol, but there needs to be exceptions. I had a 64oz WATER BOTTLE. You can SMELL alcohol. They asked me to dump my 64oz water bottle or show them that it was already empty. I couldn't have proved it was water by letting them smell it? I JUST FILLED IT. And I'm also on a non-alcohol journey. This was quite unfair to me. To prove a point, I literally chugged 64oz of water in front of them. And I said before walking in, "if this were alcohol, you better be calling an ambulance right about now" 2. NO GLUTEN FREE I am also gluten sensitive and thought "hey, it's right on the water, there MUST be shrimp cocktail or healthy seafood options right?" Boy was I wrong. EVERYTHING IS FRIED. IN FLOUR. I decided not to starve and just got cheese curds for $10. Not worth my reaction. 3. BARELY ANY OPTIONS/ CURRENT OPTIONS ARE EXPENSIVE The amount of disappointment in terms of price was astonishing. My sister and her husband got a lobster roll that was $25 which sounded like a deal, but as people who have eaten lobster roll before, half of it tasted like fake lobster... expect to pay ALOT for cheap, greasy fried foods and not be full. This is a really cool spot on LBI! We've driven by a bunch of times on our way in and out, but didn't stop until our trip this summer. It's well worth a visit; I would say more for drinks and a snack than a full dinner. First, the place is huge. Huge huge. I don't think you'll have trouble finding somewhere to sit, no matter what time of day you come. There are some fun games you can play, including 6 different corn hole setups, which is where we spent the majority of our time. The bar has plenty of beers on tap, and a few cocktails on tap as well. Hard liquor is missing, but between the canned cocktails and what's on tap, you should be covered. Food options are pretty standard - one "food truck" for burger-type food, and one for seafood (mahi sandwich, lobster roll, etc). I had the mahi sandwich and I thought it was good, just a little small. The lobster roll was tasty and well-filled, but the lobster felt like it was previously frozen. That, or it needed a touch more flavor. Overall, a great post-beach pre-dinner HH/snack spot! We will definitely be back. read more

Pretty damn cool spot. The Margarita on tap was fantastic. Sliders were bigger than your typical sliders n the sauce that comes with the cheese curds would taste good on a tire. Food is available from two food trucks - one with seafood and one with burgers and hot dogs and some sides. It's dog and kid friendly and you can play some hoops or have a game of corn hole. We brought our pup and they gave us a bowl of ice water for her -- love it! Fast and friendly service. With the Dutchman's and the Quelle* out of commission until further notice, this place has made the bigger of the Cedar Bonnet island's king (sorry little cedar bonnet). All their drinks are served on tap (genius) meaning service is fast, and the pours are generous. This place offers so many different ways to hang out! You can sit& relax on the many chairs/tables or hang out at the bar area! They also have a basketball court and corn hole on a fake grass. This place is amazing! Perfect spot for a nice romantic lunch or to hang with some friends or to take the kids for some fun. The place is huge and no one is on top of each other. We wanted to get to the water in NJ on a trip to visit family, and this was an amazing choice near dusk with the sunset over the bridge, an adjacent marina with water surrounding everything, better than normal bar food (with crab cakes and crinkle fries), and a solid selection of IPAs. We were set! It is dog friendly, so our miniature dachshunds were a hit although they did not know what to think about the seagulls. They have cornhole over a large area of artificial turf, a couple of tiki bars with COVID protocols, picnic tables everywhere with umbrellas, and a large area with a huge circus tent covering, so even if there is a sprinkle of rain, you should be just fine. The ground is littered with white beach shells as its foundation, and this is a hopping scene for every age - plenty of college kids socializing consciously during COVID, families getting out after a day at the beach or looking for some evening entertainment, and friends gathering over a few beers and a salt breeze. You really can't get much more ocean-scenic here unless you were sitting on the beach. Plus, the marina backdrop is gorgeous any time of day. It brought out the South Florida in me in New Jersey. Cool place with subpar food. Roasted clams were literally cold. Not warm. Cold. Like they came out of a fridge and doused with broth. Crab cake seemed as if it was reheated. It is a great place to grab some drinks and food. They have a great menu of beer and canned cocktails. They also have two good trucks...1. Seafood and 2. American (get the sliders)! They also have fun games to play. They have corn hole, a basketball area, games on the pavement for the little ones (like hopscotch). The Boatyard is now our favorite stop on our way home from a day at the beach. The location is perfect- you can get off the island and away from the traffic and enjoy a cold beverage and some snacks. We stopped in two weeks ago with our quaranteam family. The set-up is perfect for social distancing. Tables are well-spaced, everyone was respectful, and there are a lot of outdoor activities to keep everyone happy and occupied. Our kids loved snacking on the cheese curds and us adults really enjoyed the lobster rolls. I also took a bite of my daughters sliders - they were huge and had great burger flavor. If you're looking for a full on dinner experience, this isn't for you, but the two food trucks offer enough variety to fill your stomach while you hang our and converse. Everything we tried was good - the food is simple and tasty. I will say the bathroom situation leaves a lot to be desired, only half the stalls were in working order and it's nothing more than a porta john trailer, but it gets the job done in a pinch. read more

My first experience here was great. They have done a great job with social distancing and making a fun outdoor atmosphere. The bar is easy to order drinks and there are plenty of tables spread out across the outdoor space. The food trucks are good. Would love to see an ice cream truck for the kids. Over the summer, I had such a wonderful time visiting the Boatyard. Puppies and beer and outdoor breezes -- What more can you ask for! It was a very warm summer afternoon the first time we visited. The giant white tent was packed to the gills with summer weather lovers. We were able to find a few seats at the bar as others left so we settled in and ordered our first round. At FMIL's recommendation, I ordered a crazy blue cocktail that is poured via tap. It was crazy sweet but very refreshing on the hot summer afternoon. I changed over to a light beer after the first round so I didn't get too overwhelmed by sweetness. All the servers were incredibly friendly, even with the bar being slammed with customers. The last time we visited was the last weekend they were open for the season. What a difference in clientele! There were a few people around the bar so we made some friends and grabbed a few rounds as the sunlight faded into twilight. I met a very large dog friend who I spent most of my time socializing with (who needs human companions when there is an 80 lb mutt around?). It is closed for the winter season but I am looking forward to visiting in the spring. Such a great spot to hit up as you are exiting the island to visit mainland bars. read more
