    Bodie Hotel

Historic old hotel that was moved as is from Bodie to Bridgeport. Love the history. A lovely couple run it now. So sweet and helpful. We stayed in their downstairs room. Pleasant enough. Heater though small is mighty! The hotel is charming inside, a bit weathered on the outside. Yes it's old so some modern amenities are missing but staying in a piece of history is wonderful.

Absolutely gorgeous view from the deck

We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Bodie Hotel. I absolutely loved everything about this place.. Jeff and Jo the owners of the hotel are both friendly and informative and take the time to make you feel both welcome and aware of everything that you can do in this amazing little community and the surrounding wilderness. If you let yourself step back in time and enjoy the beauty of the furniture and the wallpaper and the amazing front window that we had that looks across the street at the courthouse, the furniture and the knickknacks all the little touches are absolutely gorgeous. The bed was so comfortable and clean and the water in the shower was wonderfully hot and the bathroom was so clean. I don't know if every bathroom has it, but there was a shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispenser in our shower. We had a fantastic prime rib dinner at the Bridgeport restaurant just a few doors down the street and enjoyed a glass of wine in their courtyard.. We had some dynamite chocolate chip cookies from the bakery across the street and thoroughly enjoyed them with the complementary coffee that's provided at the Bodie Hotel. Remembering that this hotel is from the 1880s over 140 years old and if there's a little creek in one of the floors when you walk by, you just have to embrace it because the hotel is 140 years old. And perfect.. Also when we first checked in, Steve was at the front desk and helped carry our luggage up the stairs. I thought that was a really nice touch.. I truly am looking forward to my next weekend getaway in Bridgeport at the Bodie Hotel.

We were very happy with our stay here. The old Victorian hotel has a warm and welcoming feel to it, much of which is attributable to both the decor and the gentleman who greeted us - Steve. Would definitely stay here again and thank them for a great visit.

My sister and I stayed at The Bodie Hotel in September 2023. We were warmly welcomed by Jeff, one of the owners. He helped us with our luggage to the second floor where we stayed in Room 2, the blue room. The room was very comfortable, beautifully appointed with comfortable beds and soft, luxury linens. We loved the wood flooring and blue, flocked wallpaper. The room faces the street which is the main eastern Sierras artery: Highway 395. We were a little worried it would be noisy at night with traffic. However, it was very quiet. Large trucks don't traverse 395 at night and there was little auto traffic. We slept like logs! The bathroom is small and the sink is outside the bath, just as it should be to preserve the historical setting. After breakfast at The Bridgeport Inn, we talked to Jeff about fishing spots. He shared a lot of local knowledge and even shared some bait with us! Bottom line: we loved the room and the owners. We'll be back in 2024. Five stars!

I stayed here for the weekend, with my daughter and had a fabulous time! The owners were super sweet and were accommodating to all my needs and requests! They gave us recommendations on things to do and places to eat and took time to give us the history of the hotel and town. I definitely recommend staying here and will most definitely stay here again!

such a beautiful hotel, well decorated, clean, and charming. each room is so unique and beautiful. my family stays here once a year and it's a highlight of our year. the staff is very friendly and helpful. overall a very homey and cozy environment.

Step back into the charm of this historic hotel which was once a part of the infamous Bodie Mining Town off route 395. This hotel has so much charm with the modern conveniences of a comfy bed, a hot shower and complimentary coffee. The owners and hosts, Jeff and Jo are so warm and hospitable offering suggestions for whatever you may need. Waking up in this period-decorated room made me wonder what century it was! If you love antiques, this is the place to stay.

We had a fantastic experience in Bridgeport at the Bodie Hotel, Jeff and Jolissa were amazing and made sure we felt right at home, the location made exploring the town so convenient and we met so many nice people! The whole hotel had so much charm and the vintage aesthetics were awesome! Our beds were comfy and clean and we looked forward to coming back after a full day of fishing. We definitely recommend this place and Bridgeport for families and anyone! Can't wait to come back next year.

We were staying up the road and walked down to check out the fish hatchery. After reading about the program we decided we needed to bring our kids to see it. After watching these massive trout swim around for awhile they read that they could feed the fish if they went inside and asked for Jimmy, and I've never seen them move so fast. The nice woman at the host stand hooked them up with food and told them Jimmy was throwing pizzas, but he'd come out to say hi. As it turns out, Jimmy is the owner of the property, the chef, and the hatchery manager too! His passion is infections and it's so obvious he loves this place so much. We enjoyed learning about the property, hatchery and fishery from him, and the kids felt like they'd made a friend for life. There's a restaurant here too and a little play area in the back of the restaurant, making this a great roadside stop. They also have fun accommodations including cabins, covered wagons, and others, all situated with a nice break from the highway. We came back with our younger son and he loved it as much as the older two kids! That visit we enjoyed the restaurant, which I'll review separately.

Overall the cabin was comfortable and roomy for the 4 of us. They get 5 stars on the pillows which were nice/quality. Because our dogs are bed sleepers when we travel... my hubs had the queen with the pups and I took the bunk. I did have to make up my own bed which seemed odd but perhaps they assumed with 2 humans I would be in the queen. Loved that they don't charge pet fees, but you also don't get any housekeeping (they seemed to have emptied the trash but that was about it). It is off the 395, so you will hear the traffic, even with windows closed. They give you a little bag on checkin that has some coffee pods/cups, fish food and a little s'mores kit which was a nice touch! WiFi was excellent as well given cell service is nonexistent if you have T-Mobile. My husband tried some wings in the restaurant and said they were okay but pricey. I would stay here again 100%.

They were able to accommodate us kind of last minute. We were traveling in a group of five RV's and ten people and four dogs. We were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful people that run the park. They were super nice and helpful getting us settled in. Robin at the front desk moved me into the shadiest spot in the park because we were the only rig without a/c. After setting up we were greeted with a community campfire. Michael and his wife and Robin told us about the history of the place and the amenities that are available in the park and the area. We used it as a basecamp to explore Bodie and the Bridgeport area. We really liked the place and will be returning next year. We really liked the place and the pleasant folks that run it.

He…read moresingle-handedly saved what could have been a disastrous trip with his calm demeanor, experience, and generous spirit. Having stayed at a few RV resorts now, I have four criteria that add up to a five star experience: Service, Amenities, Cleanliness, and Community Vibes. Willow Springs scores 5/5 on service, cleanliness, and community vibes. The property sits just off HWY 395 with the majority of the sites situated towards the back of the property, beautifully surrounded by the hills. The property and all sites are pristine with small bits of shade provided by adjacent cottonwoods and evergreens, and during our stay we enjoyed a steady breeze that made the temps quite enjoyable. Each night the host creates a community campfire that burns hot and long, bringing everyone together. They provide the wood and Michael tends to it, and they even have the large sticks for roasting marshmallows too. Connecting with people from all over around the fire was the highlight for me! Amenity wise, they have two nice gas grills with a nice picnic area, a large DVD library, basketball hoop and concrete pad to play on. There's also supposed to be stocked trout pond, but it was dry on our visit due to a missing pump that's supposed to be fixed soon. Recreationally that's about it. There aren't any hiking trails accessible from the property nor anything walking distance, that basketball area is located right next to the highway, and the lot is gravel so not ideal for bikes, which is why as family travelers, I'll say the property tries, but this isn't the most ideal. That said we still had fun. I'd recommend this as a great basecamp in the Bridgeport/Twin Lakes area!
