An amazing find! Quiet, peaceful, convenient to town. Rooms are amazingly clean and totally equipped: coffee, microwave, electric kettle, fridge, wifi. Gorgeous views of the pasture land across the road. Seating under the awning as well as fire pits. They worked to accomodate my overnight arrival. Can't recommend this place enough!

Cozy and clean. Much more than meets the eye as you pull into the gravel parking lot. It's cabin style rooms with great views.

Outlet with 2 USB jacks - keeping the consumer in mind!

Beautiful lodge. I was kinda shocked with how nice the room was. Nice and tighty, clean and MODERN. There's obviously been some work put into this place. Start with the obvious: though the cabin is small, it's truly the definition of cozy. Big comfortable beds, nice powerful heating system, and even extra blankets are provided just in case. For us Southern Californians who have had nothing but 90 degree weather all year, the 30 degree evenings can be especially challenging so the extra thought is certainly most appreciated. New TV plus cable, pretty good Internet despite warnings of just keeping it to basic browsing otherwise the system could potentially disconnect, and the nightstands come equipped with a standard outlet plus two USB outlets. Now that's what I'm talking about. The bathroom was freezing and after my shower there was condensation everywhere but oh well. Who cares. I had a good stay. Would stay again. If the owner is reading this, whose dog is that? I wanted to play with it but I'm not sure it would have appreciated a stranger coming up to it so I left it alone.

Beautiful views outside you window. Everything was very clean and cute like your own little cabin for the night. The staff there were so friendly and helpful. Also very dog friendly. I would definitely stay here again!

My family and I spent three nights here in cabin 7 last week. Although I was pretty skeptical when we first arrived, it turned out to be a great place. Our cabin had two sets of bunk beds (much to my 9yo sons delight) and a queen bed. The beds were so comfortable! There was also a full kitchen with EVERYTHING you need (microwave, oven/stove, toaster, blender, full size fridge/freezer and all the utensils you'll need). This cabin was literally feet from the highway but it wasn't bad at all. At night with the doors and windows shut I never was awakened by highway noise. The bathroom is quite large and although the shower itself is small it was good. The towels are nice and fluffy and they give you plenty. They also carry good shampoo and conditioner incase you forget your own. I can't speak of the other rooms here...but if you're looking for a nice place to sleep while you're in Bridgeport for fishing and fun...this would be it. Especially with a family. It was clean and comfortable. My only suggestion would be to bring your own ez-up if you would like to sit outside. The side of the cabin gives off a little shade. But after about 3-4 pm the sun is right on you. And there are no trees. The grass is nice and it's fun to sit outside and watch the trucks and look at the beautiful view of the mountains and huge meadow on the other side of the highway.

Smashed by previous guest. Left on wall for us... webs full of bugs in every corner. Big ass black ants all over.

Entomologists wanted, ha! To start off check in is 3pm, so when we arrive at 4:15pm, you'd assume it would be ready for us. But no one is in the office. She comes out from an RV parked next to it and says she needs to make the bed and clean it up still. We notice that the pictures from Priceline must be years old, as much has changed. We unload as shes cleaning, awkward. Hot as an oven, but thats my fault for not making sure, NO AC. Nice usb plug-ins for all our gadgets and the shower was good with nice clean towels. BUT the bugs make it a 1 star, well that and the bullet hole thats unpatched in the window!

Such an awesome place. If you are looking for a place to stay while driving down 395 I really recommend Big Meadow Lodge. It's the cheapest in town but don't let that fool you. The rooms are clean, views are great and the fire pits outside make for a peaceful evening. Now, if you are used to staying in big fancy hotels like Marriott you may not agree with me. But heck, maybe it's time for you to loosen up a bit and enjoy the more simpler things in life. Overall, beautiful place and the lady in the office is super nice!

Love the rustic cabins, very quiet location somewhat outside of town. The Rooms are clean and include a micro - mini kitchenette. Cozy front porch with a fire pit close by to sit around in the evening enjoying the serenity.

We decided to do an overnight to visit Yosemite's high country, the ghost town of Bodie and a few other places along the amazing Highway 395. While in our travels, we've been through Bridgeport several times, and usually stop in town to eat or refuel, we've never stayed in town for a night. I booked the hotel online, which was very convenient. The price was right, and I feel like I got exactly what I expected for my purchase. This location has a lovely park like feel, with single story rooms in the shape of an L around it. It is located right off the main street, and close enough to walk to several food locations. Parking for each room is right outside--which is especially nice. The rooms are modest but clean, with comfortable beds and all that you would need to have a good stay. Some of the furniture was starting to show some wear, but it didn't impact the function or comfort of the space. I really appreciated how friendly everyone at the reception desk was, both in recommending places to grab dinner or breakfast, and also in knowledge about the surrounding areas. The coffee in the morning was also just right.

We were staying up the road and walked down to check out the fish hatchery. After reading about the program we decided we needed to bring our kids to see it. After watching these massive trout swim around for awhile they read that they could feed the fish if they went inside and asked for Jimmy, and I've never seen them move so fast. The nice woman at the host stand hooked them up with food and told them Jimmy was throwing pizzas, but he'd come out to say hi. As it turns out, Jimmy is the owner of the property, the chef, and the hatchery manager too! His passion is infections and it's so obvious he loves this place so much. We enjoyed learning about the property, hatchery and fishery from him, and the kids felt like they'd made a friend for life. There's a restaurant here too and a little play area in the back of the restaurant, making this a great roadside stop. They also have fun accommodations including cabins, covered wagons, and others, all situated with a nice break from the highway. We came back with our younger son and he loved it as much as the older two kids! That visit we enjoyed the restaurant, which I'll review separately.

The quaint, cabin-style setting felt cozy and intimate, and I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and well-prepared everything was for my stay. I stayed in a studio-style cabin with a separate room featuring bunk beds, plus a restroom and shower equipped with heating and AC. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, and the cabin stayed warm even when it was 30 degrees outside. If that doesn't charm you enough, just step outside and take in the picturesque rolling mountains--covered in snow this time of year--and appreciate the character and care the owner has put into the property. Customer service was excellent: quick, friendly, and hassle-free. They even gave us supplies to make s'mores, which we enjoyed by our private outdoor fire pit. Overall, this place exceeded my expectations, and I'd love to come back in the spring and summer to enjoy it all over again.

Motel money spent wisely. At least for my purposes. I got a basic room at this old school motel,…read moreand basic is what I got. But I was surprised at the level of basic. There was a bed, of course, but it wasn't one of those lumpy speed bump mattresses. It was actually very comfortable. I slept quite well during my two night stay. The TV mounted on the wall was small, but it had Directv. I have that at home, so I was familiar with what buttons to push. Only issue was that you couldn't have the door open when watching, as it covered half the TV. I guess that's OK. I should only be watching half as much TV anyway. My room, #22, was very clean. The toilet was sanitized for my protection. The paper seal on the seat assured me of that. I found the seal after having a few beers. I guess that's what it means when you "have to break the seal"! The rest of the room was just fine. The air conditioner worked and it didn't make much noise. I did have an issue with the blinds. For the life of me, I couldn't get the last panel to close properly. It left a space wide enough for stray eyes to look in. A mirror reflected the sight line onto the bed. Which wouldn't be all that bad, but, well, let's just say that because of the way I sleep, it wouldn't be a pretty sight. I hung a towel to mind the gap. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. Quick Tip: Every room has magnetic screens to keep our flying friends out. However, those little buggers are fast and will follow you in. Fortunately, your room comes equipped with a manual insect removal system.

Having stayed at a few RV resorts now, I have four criteria that add up to a five star experience: Service, Amenities, Cleanliness, and Community Vibes. Willow Springs scores 5/5 on service, cleanliness, and community vibes. The property sits just off HWY 395 with the majority of the sites situated towards the back of the property, beautifully surrounded by the hills. The property and all sites are pristine with small bits of shade provided by adjacent cottonwoods and evergreens, and during our stay we enjoyed a steady breeze that made the temps quite enjoyable. Each night the host creates a community campfire that burns hot and long, bringing everyone together. They provide the wood and Michael tends to it, and they even have the large sticks for roasting marshmallows too. Connecting with people from all over around the fire was the highlight for me! Amenity wise, they have two nice gas grills with a nice picnic area, a large DVD library, basketball hoop and concrete pad to play on. There's also supposed to be stocked trout pond, but it was dry on our visit due to a missing pump that's supposed to be fixed soon. Recreationally that's about it. There aren't any hiking trails accessible from the property nor anything walking distance, that basketball area is located right next to the highway, and the lot is gravel so not ideal for bikes, which is why as family travelers, I'll say the property tries, but this isn't the most ideal. That said we still had fun. I'd recommend this as a great basecamp in the Bridgeport/Twin Lakes area!
