We chose this place by searching for RV parks in the Bridgeport area. A lot of parks popped up but there was something about Willow Springs that appealed to us. They were able to accommodate us kind of last minute. We were traveling in a group of five RV's and ten people and four dogs. We were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful people that run the park. They were super nice and helpful getting us settled in. Robin at the front desk moved me into the shadiest spot in the park because we were the only rig without a/c. After setting up we were greeted with a community campfire. Michael and his wife and Robin told us about the history of the place and the amenities that are available in the park and the area. We used it as a basecamp to explore Bodie and the Bridgeport area. We really liked the place and will be returning next year. We really liked the place and the pleasant folks that run it. read more

Five stars for fantastic service and especially Michael, Willow Springs Head of Maintenance. He single-handedly saved what could have been a disastrous trip with his calm demeanor, experience, and generous spirit. Having stayed at a few RV resorts now, I have four criteria that add up to a five star experience: Service, Amenities, Cleanliness, and Community Vibes. Willow Springs scores 5/5 on service, cleanliness, and community vibes. The property sits just off HWY 395 with the majority of the sites situated towards the back of the property, beautifully surrounded by the hills. The property and all sites are pristine with small bits of shade provided by adjacent cottonwoods and evergreens, and during our stay we enjoyed a steady breeze that made the temps quite enjoyable. Each night the host creates a community campfire that burns hot and long, bringing everyone together. They provide the wood and Michael tends to it, and they even have the large sticks for roasting marshmallows too. Connecting with people from all over around the fire was the highlight for me! Amenity wise, they have two nice gas grills with a nice picnic area, a large DVD library, basketball hoop and concrete pad to play on. There's also supposed to be stocked trout pond, but it was dry on our visit due to a missing pump that's supposed to be fixed soon. Recreationally that's about it. There aren't any hiking trails accessible from the property nor anything walking distance, that basketball area is located right next to the highway, and the lot is gravel so not ideal for bikes, which is why as family travelers, I'll say the property tries, but this isn't the most ideal. That said we still had fun. I'd recommend this as a great basecamp in the Bridgeport/Twin Lakes area! read more

First visit stayed for 3 nights in a kitchenette. The kitchenette was rustic and the bedroom part was nice comfortable beds clean bathrooms. We stayed in kitchenette number 3 and the kitchen had some awesome old school metal cabinets that reminded me of my grandma's kitchen. The outside porch area had a picnic table . Summer time bring some Centinella candles to keep the bugs away.. we were invited to the resort fire pit and had snores. I really liked this place. It has a fishing camp in the woods kinda feel. Was there road noise? yea but nothing crazy and traffic slowed down at night.. staying in late July it was warm but the window a/c was great to keep the place cool all day then open the windows in the evening. Can't wait to go back next year. read more

Amazing RV spot right on Hwy 395 just south of Bridgeport. Super well maintained and clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Kids can go fishing for free, ours caught two beautiful trout! Every night during our stay there was a communal campfire with smores and lively conversations with others staying here. Close to incredibly lakes, hot springs and hiking. Absolutely have loved our stay here. John, the owner (I assume) is lovely, even bringing us some rice he had when we didn't have enough for dinner. Exceptionally well maintained, easy to use hook ups for trailers, community fire ring with free smores and wine, and a beautiful setting. Just the whole package. The showers, though older, worked wonderful and were so clean! The only thing that could be improved is the trash situation (bear proof dumpsters would be ideal). There is some traffic noise, obviously from being right on the highway, but not terrible by any means. We will 100% stay here again without hesitation. read more

I'm very impressed with Willow Springs RV Resort. Their friendly and helpful staff went over and above to accommodate us. Unfortunately our truck died and we ended up staying a few extra nights. But what a place to be stuck. Perfect weather in July! While surrounding areas were in the triple digits. This place was a bit cooler in the 80s. Great hikes for kids and dogs behind the camp, also catching large rainbow trout in their pond was a highlight that the kids continue to talk about. Even equipped with a fish cleaning station, a BBQ and seasonings! The full treatment! Also there is a large stream across the road and other sports options for the kids and lots of picnic tables. I fully recommend this place to anyone with an RV or trailer looking for a fun and relaxing experience. read more

Hunkered down here on a day too smoky to safely camp and were so glad we did! Very sweet owners who were friendly and helpful. They were even considerate about which room/suite to put my two groups in so we wouldn't be too bothered by a family with young kids zooming around. There was a bonfire outside that night which we skipped (since we weren't trying to inhale more smoke :)) but looked really convivial and nice. Rooms weren't fancy, but very clean and the ones with kitchens were well-stocked. Have driven by this place dozens of times and now would never hesitate to stop again. read more

We wound up here by fluke do to the Dixie & Caldor fires chasing us out of two different reservations for the weekend. I am so glad that fluke happened! What a great place!! So quiet, so nice and clean! The shower was hot with amazing water pressure! The rates were great for a full hook up site. I hope we can come back a few more times before winter! There are so many things to go see within a short drive, we did Bodie, lee vining/Tioga pass, June lake loop, & mono lake. We didn't even scratch the surface of what we could do. read more

The Willow Springs Resort is an extraordinary place. Founded in 1953 and run by the same family since. The current owners keep the place in extremely good shape. We rented a kitchenette unit for three nights and enjoyed our stay very much. The place was big enough to feel comfortable for 4 days for a younger and an elder adult. It was extremely clean and very well taken care of and felt like visiting the cozy home of a relative. Throughout the entire resort and every detail you can feel the love and care that goes into the maintenance of the resort. The people who run the place were absolutely helpful and friendly. Attaching some photos to show you place through my eyes. I strongly recommend staying if you want to have an excellent base for a great time in that part of the eastern sierras. Top notch! Would give it 4.5 stars. Entire place, toilets, showers, etc. immaculate. Friendly and helpful with information. Well kept grounds with flowers and native plants, just like a home because it is for the family operation. Close to the highway but the back sites near the trailheads are quieter. Nice picnic tables at each site, with trees and flowers in between. We were happy with a small site for a tent. WiFi handy since poor cell signal in canyon. Excellent restaurant across the highway. Highway noises are the only reason we didn't give it five stars, but that wouldn't matter as much in an RV instead of a tent. We were only sad about staying only one night. This place is run by a great innkeeper. She was a joy to talk to over the phone. We were looking for a last minute room, and wanted something close to Bodie. Room: we got the last available room, which was a single queen. Extremely clean, and charming. Paneled walls added to the 50's lodge vibe. Soap provided, which was an organic citrus blend. As others reviewers noted, bring your shampoo and conditioner. It was nice to be in a Verizon cell dead zone. Feeling cut off is refreshing. read more

This RV park is absolutely adorable and in a gorgeous spot. The owners are a family and they have owned it for generations, they were so nice to us and we were only there for a short time! They have beautiful birdhouses throughout the trees, and the flowers everywhere make it a very visually appealing place to stay. They have extremely clean well water and very affordable blocks and bags of ice. The room with kitchenette we stayed in was clean and had plenty of space. After we unpacked, went to dinner and returned to our room we discovered a really bad smell in the room. The AC unit was above the stove top and I could smell grease blowing out with the cool air. I turned off the AC for an hour or so but it was so hot without it on and the highway so loud with the windows open that I turned the AC back on and just dealt with the stench. Thankfully it was only a one night stay. read more

Clean and comfortable mom-and-pop-run vintage motel. No frills (bring your own shampoo), but super convenient for visiting Bodie SHP. Completely nonsmoking, so everything smells nice and fresh inside the rooms. Recommended to us by the folks at the Virginia Creek Settlement, which is about a block down the road across the street (and has a fun restaurant), we'd definitely stay here again. read more

My niece and I went on a road trip from San Jose to Bridgeport thru Sonora Pass last weekend. We wound up stopping at Willow Springs Motel. Anne put us in one of the quaint little cabins. It was very clean and rustic, really nice. We loved it. Anne was as sweet as can be and we can't wait until early summer to go back. She has a sign with the correct pronunciation of Mono Lake behind her desk, I'll be darned if I can get it right 50% of the time after years of saying it wrong. Lovely place and Anne was so friendly and accommodating. And she makes great coffee too! read more
