Amazing RV spot right on Hwy 395 just south of Bridgeport. Super well maintained and clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Kids can go fishing for free, ours caught two beautiful trout! Every night during our stay there was a communal campfire with smores and lively conversations with others staying here. Close to incredibly lakes, hot springs and hiking. Would HIGHLY recommend and will definitely be coming back!

Absolutely have loved our stay here. John, the owner (I assume) is lovely, even bringing us some rice he had when we didn't have enough for dinner. Exceptionally well maintained, easy to use hook ups for trailers, community fire ring with free smores and wine, and a beautiful setting. Just the whole package. The showers, though older, worked wonderful and were so clean! The only thing that could be improved is the trash situation (bear proof dumpsters would be ideal). There is some traffic noise, obviously from being right on the highway, but not terrible by any means. We will 100% stay here again without hesitation.

I'm very impressed with Willow Springs RV Resort. Their friendly and helpful staff went over and above to accommodate us. Unfortunately our truck died and we ended up staying a few extra nights. But what a place to be stuck. Perfect weather in July! While surrounding areas were in the triple digits. This place was a bit cooler in the 80s. Great hikes for kids and dogs behind the camp, also catching large rainbow trout in their pond was a highlight that the kids continue to talk about. Even equipped with a fish cleaning station, a BBQ and seasonings! The full treatment! Also there is a large stream across the road and other sports options for the kids and lots of picnic tables. I fully recommend this place to anyone with an RV or trailer looking for a fun and relaxing experience.

We wound up here by fluke do to the Dixie & Caldor fires chasing us out of two different reservations for the weekend. I am so glad that fluke happened! What a great place!! So quiet, so nice and clean! The shower was hot with amazing water pressure! The rates were great for a full hook up site. I hope we can come back a few more times before winter! There are so many things to go see within a short drive, we did Bodie, lee vining/Tioga pass, June lake loop, & mono lake. We didn't even scratch the surface of what we could do.

We were staying up the road and walked down to check out the fish hatchery. After reading about the program we decided we needed to bring our kids to see it. After watching these massive trout swim around for awhile they read that they could feed the fish if they went inside and asked for Jimmy, and I've never seen them move so fast. The nice woman at the host stand hooked them up with food and told them Jimmy was throwing pizzas, but he'd come out to say hi. As it turns out, Jimmy is the owner of the property, the chef, and the hatchery manager too! His passion is infections and it's so obvious he loves this place so much. We enjoyed learning about the property, hatchery and fishery from him, and the kids felt like they'd made a friend for life. There's a restaurant here too and a little play area in the back of the restaurant, making this a great roadside stop. They also have fun accommodations including cabins, covered wagons, and others, all situated with a nice break from the highway. We came back with our younger son and he loved it as much as the older two kids! That visit we enjoyed the restaurant, which I'll review separately.

Overall the cabin was comfortable and roomy for the 4 of us. They get 5 stars on the pillows which were nice/quality. Because our dogs are bed sleepers when we travel... my hubs had the queen with the pups and I took the bunk. I did have to make up my own bed which seemed odd but perhaps they assumed with 2 humans I would be in the queen. Loved that they don't charge pet fees, but you also don't get any housekeeping (they seemed to have emptied the trash but that was about it). It is off the 395, so you will hear the traffic, even with windows closed. They give you a little bag on checkin that has some coffee pods/cups, fish food and a little s'mores kit which was a nice touch! WiFi was excellent as well given cell service is nonexistent if you have T-Mobile. My husband tried some wings in the restaurant and said they were okay but pricey. I would stay here again 100%.

The boat rental was great and everyone caught a fish, even the 4 year old. Our 11 year old loves fishing in the stream and we love seeing our family during our stay at Twin Lakes Resort. It's a place with real roots. Families make traditions of coming here and I can see why. Many of the lakes in the Sierra are hard to access due to limited development and parking, but Twin Lakes has struck the right balance offering opportunities for day trippers and campers the like. Coming up from the valley below the lakes, I never imagined there'd be quite the lively "town center" we came upon. The general store is clearly a central gathering place where fish stories are swapped and visitors can stock up on basics, grab a bite or a bloody marry, and snag all the local intel and tackle they'll need to catch a big one in the waters directly across the street. Unlike the other small stores I visited, the staff here was GOLD! They were incredibly friendly, full of info, engaging and welcoming too! Our kids got to participate in a scavenger hunt and after finishing it got to choose rad prizes. The merchandise in the store is also AMAZING! I decided I'd buy a hat or shirt after I get my first big trout out of the lakes. They also offer boat rentals at the marina with everything from kayaks and SUP to larger pontoon boats. We had hoped to rent a pontoon for the day but got there a bit later in the day and missed out. Apparently you can reserve online (I must've missed the link when looking) and the rates are super reasonable (less than $300 for the day on a pontoon for up to 8). It kind of worked out because the wind kicked up and that would've likely ended our day on the water, but I'd love to do a half day starting in the morning! This isn't a secret of any kind, but it's somewhere more folks from the Reno area need to explore.

That means there will be dirt, bugs, and yes, bears. That's part of the experience, not a flaw. If you respect nature, store your food properly, and follow the clearly posted rules, you'll have no problems. The owners expect guests to be respectful of the property, wildlife, and other visitors, and those expectations are communicated very clearly. They're simply protecting a beautiful place that everyone gets to enjoy. No more sloping floor, and the side walls were replaced. Looks so good! And glad the money is going towards improvements of the cabins because it is spendy. I fear that everyone has found out about this hidden gem because it was extremely packed when we went. I understand kids are out of school and everyone gets their vacations in but man it was crowded. The 250 campground was completely full, cabins were full, and the loud gatherings lasted well past 10 PM (quiet hours). This isn't a fishing campground anymore, more of a party campground. I asked if there was a number for security or someone I could get a hold of to make a noise complaint and there was no one. I could tell the gate, but they're only there until 9 PM. I asked if there was a problem with the cabin at night, what do I do? Nothing to be done until the morning. I understand, no problem everyone is trying to enjoy their time away but be respectful of the quiet hours and there are fisherman who get up early to go fish.
