Maybe it's the membership options which in my opinion were very confusing to understand however, it is to be noted your first class is complimentary and I did not feel rushed or talked into a membership at the end. Also, this studio is part of Class Pass so, you can experience this energetic, engaging, challenging cardio workout with Class Pass Credits. My instructor Cal was upbeat and very knowledgeable with incredible skill in dance as well as a loud, carrying voice for conveying the moves well. He broke down the class in easy to understand sections and offered variations as well as, didn't judge when I had to take breathers since my cardio endurance isn't the best. The class I chose as my first free class was a class labeled straight "DANCE" on the schedule, opposed to dance and bands and circuit classes. I liked the format of this class because it was cardio heavy with 3-4 longer dance bursts to learn choreography that was compiled together at the end to learn a proper combo. The in-between sections consisted of strength training and stretching exercises that Cal taught to the class in his awesome peppy demeanor! He kept us all active and engaged all class. I found this class a great deal challenging and definitely would go back with my class pass and try it again.

I went to a yelp event and won a 5 class pass. I honestly didn't want to win but I'm glad I did! It…read moregave me the opportunity to see how awesome their classes are and what results I could potentially get! The first class I went to was a barre class because I had always wanted to try one....and I loved it! I didn't go to any other type of class lol Each class is different. They might have some of the same movements but never in the same order and definitely varied. Going to those 5 classes I was able to be instructed by 3 different women and they were all great. While telling the moves and how to do them they are also shouting encouragements and praise that make you want to keep going. And I'm serious when I say that I've never sweat that much in any other workout class I've taken. It's awesome. The facility at Mission Farms (where I went to all me classes) is very nice. Big room so lots of space. They have three sets of lights which I thought was pretty neat. Red for warmup. Regular for workout. And blue for cool down. Nice restrooms and water fountains with the bottle refill part. They have a day care room for some of the classes so moms can bring their kids and still get in a workout. In the front lobby they have lots of merch for sale. I would love to continue taking classes BUT their prices are a bit steep for me. Perhaps if they have a sale or maybe I could get a pass for myself for Christmas. Oh! And if I read it right on their site you can try out your first class for free! So do yourself a favor and try it out!

But a recent Yelp Event let me check out Fusion and whoa was it hard! I left with that endorphin high and knew I wanted to try more classes to see if it was a good fit for me and my goals. Now I'm four classes in and I really like it! The energy during the classes is amazing and I'm usually dripping sweat and sore for a few days after-- something that I love from a work out! I will say it is sometimes hard to hear the instructor giving the moves over the music but I can typically figure it out within a few seconds. They have three locations which really helps with finding the right class that fits depending if it's the weekend or if I'm catching a class on my way home.

Not only does Get in Shape help you with your fitness goals but without notice they become a very important part of your life in so many ways. The AMAZING Carron is your encouragement coach and there for you for EVERYTHING and anything you need. You will never walk away feeling defeated or depressed after a chat with her. She understands where you are at and helps you achieve your goals on an emotional level. On a physical level you could not ask for better trainers! Justin, Jose and Brandon are professional, intelligent, and caring but most of all they meet you on a personal level. If you have any questions about nutrition they have the answers! If you have any physical limitations they modify your training. They push you and make you work hard.... and that is why you are there!! The old saying changing how you eat and exercising has to be a life change and become a habit so that it is a natural day to day routine... well after 4 months of attending my sessions I have already welcomed this life change and if I have to miss a session I feel like I have missed something out of my week. I look forward to going and I am LOVING how strong I feel. My body is changing along with my attitude changing about exercising! This place and these people have made a huge difference in my life and I am so thankful that I took that step and signed up!! NO REGRETS!! Just a side note..... slots are limited and you have to go through a process and be accepted into the program. As a member I am thankful for that. The ladies you work out with become your friends and are your "back up work out buddies"... with that said you want to have the best lady(s) by your side encouraging you!!

When I saw the add in the Kansas City Star I was depressed and need the motivation to lose weight and be more active. I gave them a call and went in for my "free trial week" and have not looked back. I look forward to my weight training and cardio sessions. Losing weight not only was something that I needed to do to build up my confidence, but for my own personal health. It's not your conventional gym; every session is with an experienced personal trainer who actually cares about your overall health and well-being. Get In Shape for Women has everything you need to know from nutrition to working out including accountability. The Member Development Director and three personal trainers are so encouraging and they really show women the right way to lift weights. They're kind and compassionate about what they do and help you to achieve your goals and the support that they give you each time you go in for your session is ABSOLUTELY awesome. If you want a to work out with a personal trainer every time you go to the gym and receive the benefits of having a nutrition program, then this is the place for you. I have made the commitment to myself that "quitting" is not an option.

I joined because their prices were so incredibly cheap. If I remember, it was $24 a month. All of the treadmills have personal TV screens so you can watch a show to pass the time. It was never busy during the times I chose to work out, so I always had a good pick of machines. The bathrooms and locker areas were always cleaned and well-stocked. I've decided from past experiences, I wanted one where I could easily freeze my membership due to work travel. I wanted a gym in my area, that was less than 10 minutes away....well, I found it. I received in the mail, a flyer saying the membership fee of $29 was waived in January for Roc fitness. I chose today to go and check it out. It's a small gym, with a small equipped weight room. The weight room has set of circuit machines for upper and lower body. There's cardio machines upstairs. There's also a 14 lap walking track. They have shower rooms with lockers. Overall, it's a pretty nice place. Great price, too: $22 a month. There's a $5 locker fee if you decided to get a permanent locker, and they charge a one time fee for the usb key to program a workout. I like that idea, and am going to do that. The classes change per season. I am interested in the adagio class, and the zumba classes. The staff were very helpful, and they arrange for an orientation, after you join. There's a cafe with, from what I've heard, the best French fries in Raytown. I suppose the gym is supposed to counter act the calories in the French fries? . Edit: This place grows on you. The more I am there, the more I like it.
