I am SO THANKFUL that I did. Pilates has changed my life and my body. Honestly, I think of it as a hybrid between physical therapy and a work out. I have pain in my back, neck, and shoulders. I've been to a physical therapist and chiropractors. Nothing helped. As for work outs, I have had several personal trainers. Nothing worked. Until Pilates! Becky is amazing on so many levels! She really listens to the client and comes up with the best plan, which is tailored to meet that particular client's needs. Truthfully, it kicked my tush but the instructor was so upbeat and so kind - and there were truly ALL shapes and sizes! I wasnt self conscious at all. I came back the next week and a different instructor and she was a bit more of a teacher of the steps than the first and realized that it would take me awhile to learn the routines but I would get it. For the first time in my life I was doing cardio three times a week and enjoying it. Encouraging, non-judgemental, fun, and worth the $7 per class (or $6 if you buy a pass).

I was very intimidated coming in to try reformer, so I opted for the free 30-minute intro class to see if it was something I'd enjoy doing. As someone who's never really enjoyed working out, I was surprised how much fun I had, and I think the staff made all the difference. Each instructor and desk worker are so, so kind and attentive, and the studio is always cozy and clean. Pilates can be expensive, but it's SO worth it in my opinion! (Plus, there's a discount for healthcare workers and other ways to save based on your subscription tier).
